IEC Model DPR– 6000 w/ 259 Rotor For sale we have a International Equipment Corporation(IEC) model DPR– 6000 Floor Refrigerated Centrifuge with 259 Rotor. The centrifuge is overall in fair cosmetic condition with quite a few scuffs and scratches on the exterior and on top of the door. The fins on the back of the condenser units are fairly bent also. The unit is on wheels and seems a roll pretty decently. It is missing the speed and a temperature knob. This centrifuge powers on but the motor brushes are bad. It is overall in fair cosmetic condition with quite a few scuffs and scratches. But no major damage. There were quite a few stickers and labels on the door when we received it and there likely is some residue left. The inside of the unit is a bit dirty from previous use. See photos below for more details on physical condition. This centrifuge uses a 15A 120V plug type. I was able to open the door with the unit powered on. It includes a rotor and(4) tubes for testtubes. Two of the four tubs have inserts so that the inside ... moreis the correct diameter for a normal size test tube. When I turned it on the unit was at 29C and the refrigeration compressor started up. I came back after about 15 minutes and it was at 15C and still cooling down. I then set the centrifuge to 500 RPM, 5 minutes and pressed the start button. It quickly started and reached the 500 RPM within a few seconds. It held the speed properly. I then adjusted the speed up, each time it held the desired speed properly. It did seem to show a speed on the gauge of about 100 RPM less than the dial was set to. I set the RPM all the way up and the centrifuge leveled off at about 3900 RPM. I then set it back down to 2000 RPM for finish the run. When the timer went off it started to slow down. I tried both the min and max braking switches and both work properly. When the centrifuge stopped the top light lit and I was able to open the cover again. By now the centrifuge had reached 6C. I closed the centrifuge and let it sit for awhile and let the refrigeration run. It reached about 1C. Being the coldest I saw when it was set to-10C. There are some scratches and scuffs on the exterior and a pretty large dent in the right side metal panel. Does not include a key or rotor. All of the lcd panels were in good condition and displayed properly. I was able to change a few of the setting and see that some of the lights would change as a result. I set the temperature down to 0C. After a minute the compressor started up. But it only ran for about 10-15 seconds before stopping. It ... morethen restarted about a minute or two later and did the same thing. It continued to do this. The unit did cool down from 15C to-15C doing this, not sure if this is an issue or normal operation. We then set the centrifuge to 1000RPM and pressed start. It quickly spun up to speed. But kept increasing until it stabilized at about 10,000 RPM. I'm not sure if this is because of the missing rotor or another issue. The power cord is not currently connect to the unit. Beckman High Speed L8-80R Refrigerated Floor Centrifuge For sale is this used Beckman High Speed L8-80R Refrigerated Floor Centrifuge. It is overall in pretty decent cosmetic condition with the normal scuffs and scratches on the exterior. Does not include a key. But is set to normal. The unit does roll okay but is quite heavy. Specifications: Model: L8-80 R Serial# 80559 Cat. 341300 208V 30A Total revolutions: 30524160 x 1000 Exterior dimensions: 39" wide x 28" deep x 50" tall, We plugged this unit into our 220V power and were able to test it out quite a bit. It powered right up and the gauges and display was on. I turned the vacuum pump on and it immediately came on and started to pull a vacuum on the chamber. After awhile it was down to about 15 microns and quite a bit later it was off the scale to the right side. I can't ... moreguarantee the accuracy of the gauge. I set the temperature to 0C(the lowest it would go to) and the unit soon started to cool down. After awhile the gauge reach 0.3C and it stayed there. I opened the chamber and was able to verify that the inside temperature was within a few degrees C of the stated temperature. I then set the time to 5 minutes and the speed to a few thousand RPM. Due to not have a rotor installed the unit seemed to spin up a bit for a few seconds and then gave a Disk error. I believe this is what it should do. But can't really state as I'm not really that familiar with use of these units. Changing display setting is a bit funny. As you have to hold the button for the item you want to change, and then press the up or down button and the display flashes between the set point and the current amount. From what I can tell. Floor centrifuge RC-26 Plus, w/SA-300 rotor, Sorvall TESTED but noisy
This is a used Sorvall RC 26 PLUS centrifuge that was tested and works but the bearings seem a bit loud. Refrigeration systems achieved and maintained setpoint and the rotor was spun to 20.000 RPM as can be seen in the video. The machine is in good cosmetic condition but there are some scratches on the rotor. Please watch video of the unit in operation to judge to severity of the bearing noise. We are selling this for repair or parts, but maybe it could be used as a backup centrifuge the way it sits. This unit accommodates all Sorvall Superspeed and SUPRAspeed rotors.
