Baxter Scientific Products Heraeus Instruments Medifuge Tested
Up for sale is a Baxter Scientific Products Medifuge centrifuge. The centrifuge has a 12 place rotor that looks like it would hold 10 mL or similar size centrifuge tubes. The instrument is very clean and in good cosmetic condition. The tabs that fix the front panel on to the instrument are broken. But the panel is still held in place by two screws. This will not effect the appearance or functionality of the instrument. The instrument was put through 2 testing cycles at 5000 rpm, its top speed for 15 minutes on both trials. At the end of the cycle, the instruments braking mechanism was activated, slowing the rotor down. From these tests, it the instrument seems to be in good working condition and is very quiet even at its top speed, indicating good bearings.
