Condition: Used Location: Cleveland, United States IEC Centrifuge Up for auction is a used IEC Centra MP4R Tabletop Refrigerated Centrifuge. The unit is in good physical condition with only minor scuffs ... moreand scratches due to normal wear. All the labeling is clear and legible. Please refer to the pictures provided below for more details on the condition of the item. When we tested this unit it powered on without any problems. We were able to adjust all the parameters with the buttons and then we had the unit run for 30 minutes at various speeds and had the temp set a 4 degrees Celsius. After the 30 minutes was up we opened the unit and checked the temperature with an IR thermometer. For some reason though the units chamber ranged between 13-17 degrees Celsius. It comes with the model 215 rotor which spins 4 50ml buckets(IEC refers to them as shields) The shields and trunnion rings are not a matched set of four. But 2 matched sets of 2. So as long as you have the matching sets opposite each other it spins very nicely and has been left on for over an hour without any issues. That is the extend of my testing and NO warranty is offered. However. IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. The interior is in surprisingly good shape compared to the exterior As you can see there are three rubber cushions for the bottom of the 50ml tubes. And I have four inserts for using smaller 15ml(I think tubes) instead. But only 3 match, the fourth is different and probably different enough to cause some instability.
