Description: This is a very nice vintage tube tester from Jackson. Serial number 439101. It includes all the original literature that came with the machine. To my eye it appears to never have been used. There is no scratching or normal signs of wear and tear. In fact, the only defects seem to be related to its many years of storage. There is some scuffing on the outside of the case and some dist/detritus from sitting in storage for many years. The colors are still bright and the metal very clean. The 219 is a Composite Transconductance and Emissions tester similar to the EICO 666/667 and Jackson 648 models, the 219 is the same exact tester as the Sylvania 220, the only difference is the 220 is suitcase tester, overall this is a very decent tube tester to use or to enhance your collection. TV-7U TUBE TESTER, NICE CONDITION, TESTS TUBES HICKOK DESIGNED WITH BOOK& ACCESS
This listing is for a NICE TV-7U TUBE TESTER that works. But would benefit from a calibration to be really accurate on all tubes. I have compared it to my recently calibrated TV7-D(calibrated by Dan Nelson in Az) and a 6L6g output tube tests the same as my TV7-D, but a 6BQ5 tests lower than my workhorse. So I believe the tester to be working well, but it should be calibrated. All testers should be calibrated every decade or so, if the user wants extreme accuracy. These sets were designed by HICKOK, and built under goverment contract by a number of contractors to the same exact specs established by HICKOK. They are also TROPICALIZED, further reducing the effects of time on the tester. They test a wide range of tUbes, with a total of 9 sockets for different types of tubes including the early 4 pin fubes like 80, 5U4G, 6SN7s, 12AX7s etc. I nrepained ... morethe case, it had already been repainted, but the paint hed rubbed off in many areas and did not look that great, so I repainted it. All the hardware woeks great, the latches, hinges, and the heavy duty handle all function properly. Unit weighs 19 pounds, shipping weight well packed will be around 24-25 pounds from 73130. Here are just some of the +++ with this machine. It will check about any consumer vacuum tube you may have from antique 4. 5, 6& 7 pin, octal, loktal, 7& 9 pin miniature, nuvistor, 12 pin compactron, 9 pin novar and also wire lead sub-miniature tubes. 7& 9 pin straighteners built in on the face. You can also check both sides of a dual triode without changing any selector switches by simply the push of a button. Can't find the number your looking for on the test data provided, no problem. Manual shows you how to test them. All you need is a tube manual for the number you want to test and owners ... moremanual will show you how to set the switches ~ easy. One of the best all round testers available in this price range. I have cleaned all switches and controls with DeOxit and replaced the two tubes(83& 5Y3GT) with new testing tubes. Roll chart goes from end to end without any problems and all controls operate as they should. Meter does not stick. Adjusts to zero and line adjust is perfect. As you can see in the pictures the test results of a 6V6GT in my Amplitrex AT-100 testing at 4.480 on the Gm. Then I show it testing in this 752A at 1,120. This is in the X4 range so 1,120 time 4 = 4,480. This tester is dead on. The face has a few mars on it but nothing serious and has really nice print. The case shows it age somewhat but is a very solid case. I have taken all kinds of pictures so you can judge physical condition for yourself. All in all. A very nice tester. Comes with printed test data books and a CDrom with foreign. Obsolete and general test data, manual and other information on it. Very nice Jackson Model 715 tube tester..reconditioned
This tester has had the chassis reconditioned with new 6C4 very strong tube. New electrolytic and coupling capacitors, controls cleaned/lubed/adjusted. Pictures show meter properly"zero-ing" and testing of tubes 5Y3, 12AX7, 45, 6L6. Results are consistent with readings on calibrated TV-7 tester. Face of tester is clean, but case has some nicks and paint scratches. Good handle. Circuitry and testing method are similar to Hickok. The exterior of the box isn't in the best shape. But inside looks great. Manual dated 4/4/69 is in nice shape. Manual dated 8/29/69 shows some water damage. There are other pieces of manuals dated 1/1/66 and 10/1/69. Also includes a Tube Substitution Handbook. This book shows a little water damage but is still in good shape. You are bidding on a vintage Jackson 648 tube tester. It's in very good condition for its age. It comes with a ton of documentation and extras and the vacuum tubes Inc manual and calibration tube which is the best! Also has a bunch of extra associated documentation and service bulletins. I did power it up to check the calibration and it's reading a little high. Tube is calibrated at 85 and it reads 90. This unit is one of the easier to calibrate as pots are used for the calibration I also recall that when I put it away. The meter was occasionally a bit temperamental, and needed a tap before it would register. This unit has the upgraded shorts test. As well as the filament voltage upgrade kit installed. Precision Apparatus PACO 612 Tube & Battery Tester, Calibrated Fixed Tested NICE
Here is a very nice PACO tube tester. It's the Model 612 tube and battery tester. I haven't done much with PACO gear(though I'm totally dependent on their C-20 capacitor tester) But based on the shiny chrome faceplate this looks to be a later production run of the venerable 612 emission tester. This is a nice tester. It beats my trusty old EICO 625, that's for sure. I toyed with the idea of swapping out the 625 for the 612 for my quick bench tester. still might happen. We'll see how the sale goes. This tester has the following sockets: Octal Loctal 7& 9 Pin Miniature 4. 5, 6& 7 Pin Large Base Acorn Subminiature(8-pin pencil tube) 7 pin in-line Subminiature It will test most. If not all, rock and roll tubes and antique radio tubes including 12AX7, 12AU7, 12AT7, 6BQ5(EL84) 6CA7(EL34) KT-66, KT-88, 6550, 5881, 6146, ... more7025 etc. I tested a tube in every socket. I have a standard weak 6CA7(EL34) that I use to judge testers. This tester got it right. Checked leaky and good capacitor. The 612 had no trouble identifying which one was which. The battery test also worked. I am confident this tube. Condenser and battery tester is fully functional. The meter is very nice. The movement is very smooth and repeatable. Overall. This unit very nice as you can see from the pictures. The case has some scrapes and marks but is very solid. All feet are there. They're not a exact match but close. JACKSON DYNAMIC TUBE TESTER MODEL 648R VERY NICE
This is a Jackson mod. 648R dynamic tube tester made in late 50's or early 60's. It's in great shape cosmetically with basically just surface rust on the case hinges and a little dirt. It hasn't been tested but when plugged in. The meter needle goes to the middle, all the knobs rotate smoothly, the tube specs chart rolls nicely etc. This is the later 648R mod, which along the s mod. seem to be the most favored. These Jackson testers are recognized as one of the top brands. This will be sold"as is" as I have no means to test it. Has an instruction sheet fastened to the inside of the lid.

This is a nice vintage Eico model 667 Dynamic Conductance Tube& Transistor Tester. It is from an estate and is in very good clean condition with some normal light wear and scratches but overall clean and nice. The top of the plastic switch tip on the MERIT switch was evidently broken and it has had black tape wrapped around it(see photo) This is the black plastic switch tip only(not the actual metal switch) It is very minor and could be easily replaced but works fine just the way it is and will continue to do so(it's hardly noticeable) All other buttons and switch tips are intact and in good shape. Meter is clear and nice. Power cord is also nice with no deterioration. Built-in tube chart roll is intact and in good shape. This is a very nice tester in very nice shape. Nice Signal Corps. I-177 U.S. Army Tube Tester & MX-949A/U Socket Adapter Kit
Both pieces are in Very nice condition. It line adjusts great and I tested a few tubes and compared closely to my calibrated TV-7. It did not come with a manual so I did not test the MX-949A/U tube socket adapter kit but the Gentleman I purchased them from said they both worked great and the tester does so I would guess the adapter kit does also and the full manual can be purchased here on EBAY for a good price. Both cases are in nice shape with no dents or major scratches and you can tell they were both taken care of very well and they actually look a lot better in person than the pictures show. Vintage Eico 628 Tube Tester Nice!
Here is a nice working Eico Model 628 Tube Tester. I’ve owned this tester for quite a few years. And use it occasionally. Functionally, this tester works fine. All switches work, and the sockets are in nice shape. In the picture I’m testing a 12AT7(not included) Over the years, I’ve tested many different tube types and this tester has never failed me. Cosmetically, the unit is ok. I’d say a 7 out of 10. The face has some marks on it, and the meter face has some crazing(I think that’s what you call it) but it is very readable and does not affect the operation of the unit. The tube chart(roll) works fine. There is a tear at the end of the roll that was repaired with tape. This is how I got the unit. It works so I didn’t mess with it. This tester also comes with the original construction and operating manuals. It also comes with a tube supplement ... morebook. These are originals, not reprints! This is a popular model, as it can not only test most of the audio tubes being use today, but quite a few tubes which are used in ham radio. Included with the tester is the original user manual and tube data books. This unit is in decent physical condition for its age. The previous owner had removed the blue paper/cloth from the bottom of the tester. And refinished the wood underneath. He had meant to do the same to the top, but never got around to it. Nice Hickock 539C Tube Engineering Tester with Calibration Kit
This is a nice Hickock 539C tester. This unit is 100% functional and includes a manual and two tube supplements as well as a calibration procedure written by Daniel Schoo. Also included is a parts kit for building a trans-conductance test standard as described by the famous Daniel Schoo calibration procedures. The kit is components only but the Schoo article describes how to build the full calibration fixture. The tester has very slight cosmetic blemishes normal given the age of this type of equipment. The panel is in nice shape with only a few blemishes. The Self Bias markings near the top left switch has only the"Self" wording missing but the"Bias" markings there and the switch use is self explanatory so this is not a functional issue. This unit came from Penn State University so it has been used in a laboratory setting. ... moreCase has a few cosmetic issues. Again normal for the age and type of equipment. Case hardware has some slight surface corrosion which may be able to be polished out with some elbow grease. Again, given the age of this type of equipment this is not unexpected. Here's a great Heathkit IT-3117 Tube Checker(tester) This is the last of the Heathkit made testers. It tests darn near every tube ever made. 4, 5, 6, pin vintage tubes, miniatures, loctals, and more. This is in very nice clean condition. I tested a few random tubes and got the expected results(they were known good tubes) Obviously I can't test every switch and knob combination and I would imagine if you were going to put this into regular use all the controls and switches, as well as the tube sockets should be cleaned, but it's looking and working good. Worth noting that the original knob for the filament setting is cracked and not on the unit as it slips, but it will be included. The replacement knob has the indicator line in the wrong place in relation to the set screw and flat side of the switch shaft, so there's a small ... morenotch in the skirt of the knob to indicate correct position. Hickok TV-7D/U Tube tester, Extremely nice condition, Depot overhauled / Cal'd
Here's a really nice TV-7D tube tester in excellent operating condition and cosmetic condition. It appears to me that it was never used in the field. There's no obvious wear either on the inside or outside of the case. This comes with the US Army Depot box when it was calibrated or overhauled in 1978. I just checked the calibration(to Mil TM-11-6625-274-35) and it needed just one minor adjustment since the overhaul. See my calibration test sheets in the last two pictures. This has the standard accessories. And an unused tube chart. All of this looks unused. As you can see from the pictures the front panel. And the chassis are also like new. The tube sockets are likewise look unused. Some info. The TV-7D has several improvements over earlier units e.g. it has parasitic oscillation damping(ferrite beads) and it has a higher GM range(position ... moreF) for testing the later(high Gm) tubes. This of course will test all early tubes including Western Electrics. There are sockets for 4.5,6,7,8 octal. 8 loctal, 7/ 9 pin minatures and acorns. It is possible to make adapters for the later 9/ 12 pin sweep tubes. This has been completely calibrated to the Army Tech manual(TM 11-6625-274-35) specs. The two factors that have the most influence on unit to unit repeatability are the signal voltage levels(step 4) and the transconductane(plate AC current) These are right on their center values(see test calibration data) The TV-7's are considered to be standard by many people. They're obviously built to the highest standard and they don't have the"English" pot that many Hickok's used to change the transconductance range. TV-7's that are calibrated properly don't depend on using a"standard" 6L6) tube for adjusting the(transconductance) scales. Instead this calibration is done by using by using a known AC plate current(from an isolated transformer) and knowing the AC grid test signal. Nice used Sencore TC-136A. MIghty Mite IV electronic tube tester. Works good and comes with an after market service manual/setup charts. Case is nice and the covering is not damaged, hardware is OK. Has the typical light scratches on the face of the unit, comes from use. Still looks very nice. Used it to check several hundred old tubes, obtained from an electronics shop. Which was made for the I-177-B, you can test big amateur radio transmitter tubes right on down to the small 7 pin tubes. Vintage JACKSON model 49 Tube Tester, Nice!
late 1950's- early 60's Jackson Type 49 Tube Tester In very good condition. This emissions tester has worked well testing various tubes. Case has been nicely repainted and includes original leather handle. All original knobs including the infamous"telecaster" style setting knobs. Tone Lizard" illustrates this as an"older" Jackson model. Though my Allied catalogs from 1957-1961 state otherwise.notice the lack of older tube radio sockets available as well. This was originally designed as a well made"quick check" tester for TV repairmen during that era. Roll chart is original and in good shape. Scrolls fine. Sold as/is as described. B&K 747 CALIBRATED Tube Tester, VERY NICE !
You are bidding on a B&K 747 Tube Tester that I have taken the time to check it all out: apply contact cleaner(DeOxit) to critical switch contacts; inspect for any bad parts(there were none) spent the time to go through the detailed B&K calibration procedure; clean it all up and then use my"tried and true" calibration tubes(6AU6& 6L6) to VERIFY the tester is actually reading correctly(they were! I think you already know this is a"High End" Gm Transconductance. Totally solid state(no tubes) design, very simple and fast to use, test's about 96% of all tubes, including the audio 6EU7& 6K11 and pretty much ANY other audio tube. A copy of the manual, setup chart and the plate-cap patch cord, is included. FYI, the setup chart is dated 1981. Nice B&K 707 tube tester with 12AX7 modification. Recapped and calibrated
I have recapped this unit and checked all the resistor values. Unit has been calibrated and also has the socket 24 modification to properly test the 12AX7 tubes. See Pictures. Includes only what is shown. This unit also has the factory mod that installed a Silicon diode in place of the rectifier tube!

NICE CLEAN HEATHKIT TC-2 TUBE TESTER SERVICED AND READY TO TEST TUBES
Very nice condition Heathkit TC-2 Tube Tester. This unit has been gone over and is in great working condition. I took the unit apart cleaned it all up. Changed the bad plate cap wire, cleaned all the pots and switches. Also Made sure it calibrates to the standard of my calibration tube that has been in lots of tube testers. The box and cord are also in good shape. The tube sockets are nice and tight, So I doubt this tester was used too much at all. This one isn't an old Donkey, Nobody ever used it much. I try to earn my keep, Thanks and enjoy.
