Lafayette Tube tester Up for Auction is a vintage Lafayette Model TE-50 Tube Tester. For hifi, guitar, amps. Comes with operating manual/instructions that show alot of wear on the pages. Slide out built in drawer. It is not missing 1 socket the Open hole was for future expansion that never happened and has been plugged properly. Cosmetically show's some small wear and marks from useage and age. But still in good condition. Power's up and I tested a tube and it lit up to tell me of a"Leak" and that's all of the testing that was performed. All original cord. Etc. Restored Lafayette Radio Tube Tester Model TE-50
Mint condition! Here at this auction is an antique Lafayette Model TE-50 Tube Tester. For hi-fi, guitar, amps. Comes with operating manual/instructions. A slide out built in drawer holds the tube data charts. Cosmetically show's some small wear and marks from age. But still in good condition. Powered up and tested a tube 12AU7 for emission tests showing good conductance( Micromhos) with no leakage or shorts present. The tester is great for matching pairs of tube based on emission tests. This tester is very compact and lightweight. Good for on the job testing or teaching students about tubes. The unit is small and compact measuring 10" x 8 1/4" x 2 1/2" It weighs in at 6 pounds. Very portable and easily carried on field calls and used Electronics bench tests. USA ONLY!

Lafayette Tube Tester Model TE-15 + Tube Chart - Operating Instructions & case
This is a classic Lafayette Tube tester Model TE-15. It includes the instruction booklet. Tube chart and its vinyl plastic carrying case. The checker lights up as shown in photo attached. It has two issues, one is a crack on the meter lens but no piece is missing. It also has half the alligator clamp missing from the tube top connector, easy to replace with standard clamp. Both of these issues are shown clearly in the attached photos. Item looks great appearance wise and has both manuals tucked away in the drawer at the bottom. For bid I'm offering This Vintage Lafayette Tube Testing Unit Model No. KT-209 in hard case with handle and latch lock. Unit powered up and light lite up. I turned some of the knobs and the meter gaude jumped around. Comes with instuction/battery use"Diode OK" scale book. I think this unit is from 1962. Estate sale find. Case shows normal age wear. Vintage Lafayette Tube Tester Model TE-15. Works. L@@K!!
Here is a vintage Lafayette Tube Tester Model TE-15. This tester appears to be in working condition. I found an old tube and plugged the tester in. I put the tube in the correct position and followed the instructions in the book. The tube lit up. The red light came on when I moved the some of the switches which indicated there was a leak. I then tested the quality which the needle on the gauge pointed to"Replace" This tester comes with the operating instructions. This tester has been sitting around in a garage for a long time and needs a major cleaning. There are scratches and some surface rust. The"Load" knob is broken. I'm not sure about the wire that goes to the clip that hooks to the top of some tubes. It looks ok but I'm not sure. Some of the rubber that surrounds the clip is torn and missing. There is a plastic ... moreclip in the tray the holds the manual that is broken. I do not know anything about this. Even though I did try this tester. This item is a Lafayette Radio Model TE-15 Portable Tube Tester. The item includes a little drawer with tube data inside. And a plastic/leatherette carry case. This thing has got to be one of the cutest little tube testers ever made! And. This one works. see photo above with a successful test of a 6AV5. The meter on the tester is scratched and crazed, but works fine. The tube chart has been stuffed into its storage drawer-not a well thought-out design-so is wrinkled a bit, but it appears to be all there.
