Clean, and accurate EICO model 628 tube tester with the attractive brushed aluminum ... morepanel from my collection. The EICO 628 was the successor to the very popular model 625. With sockets added to test the newer tubes that were becoming available. In addition to the usual octal, loctal, 7& 9-pin miniature sockets, Eico added 5& 7-pin nuvistor sockets, novar and compactron sockets, plus 7& 9-pin pin straighteners. The 9-pin socket is actually a combination 9& 10-pin miniature socket. The 628 also has a vastly improved roll chart. The old 4. 5, 6& 7-pin sockets are gone to make room for the new ones. But the older tubes can still be tested. In fact, the data is still on the roll chart and in the tube data manual(included) All it takes is a simple adapter you can make for yourself from an old 8-pin tube base and the socket of your choice. The EICO series of test instruments were intended for professional use. And were marketed mostly to radio and TV repairmen through the local electronic parts dealerships, and their construction shows it. The professional looking brushed aluminum panel was designed to inspire confidence in the customer who saw it, and the heavy steel case of this instrument was intended to protect it well. The circuit was licensed from Triplett and is the same as the Triplett 3413. Heath and Knight also licensed the circuit and produced it as the Heathkit models TC-x and IT-xx. Knight testers are known as the KG-600 series. The test data for all of these tube testers is generally interchangeable. As can be seen from the tag on power cord and the"Tested" stamp on the inside of the case, this is a factory wired instrument- perhaps important if you want to be sure it was done correctly. A vailible for purchase is this SENCORE item. Plugged it in and It powers up like it should. Tubes glow, but I do not hav e the means or know how to test it. This item is from the estate of a person who used it to help repair old radios and suchlike. B&K MODEL 606 DYNA-JET VACUUM TUBE TESTER adapters
Up for sale is a dynajet 606 tube tester. It is used but in good shape, power cord is in tact and nothing is broken. Switches turn properly and light/heater turns on. I plugged in a 5670 with some generic settings and it appears to work fine. Adapters and manuals are included, those are not cheap on ebay.

Vintage Supreme Model 85 Tube Tester with Chart and Accessory Adapters - WORKING
You are bidding on a vintage Supreme model 85 vacuum tube tester for antique radios. Very nice looking vintage 1935 Supreme 85 tube tester. This is the early version. With the round meter instead of the fan-shaped meters Supreme used on later testers. It uses a large NE-1 neon bulb for shorts testing(top of photo 2) Set-up and testing are easy, using the chart inside the lid(photo 4) The model 85 tests all tubes commonly in use in 1935 without adapters. In addition, the original owner of this tester purchased 8 socket adapters(bottom of photo 4) that allow many later octal type tubes to be tested, He added directions for testing these at the top of the original Supreme chart(photo 4) This model 85 is in very clean condition with an excellent oak case(see photos) The cord has been replaced for safety. But everything else is original. I tried ... morethis tester on an 01A tube with borderline emission, and got the correct result(photo 3) The shorts neon indicator also worked correctly. If you plan to use this regularly. It should be checked and possibly re-calibrated. These are simple testers, but the capacitors are probably leaky after 80 years. I also noticed that button number 2 on the bottom sticks, so should be cleaned and lubricated. Supreme(located in Greenwood. Mississippi) was one of the most widely sold kinds of radio test equipment. Their products were functional and within the budget of most radio repairmen. Today they make great collectibles, especially clean working ones like this. This 85 is a duplicate of other Supreme test equipment in my collection.
