Power House Tube Checker - Continuity Tester / C-B-C Electronics Co., Inc.
This tube checker- continuity tester is from the 1960's era and was manufactured by C-B-C Electronics Co. Inc. Philadelphia, Pa. This unit will test 7 pin, 9 pin, octal, and loctal vacuum tubes along with having a continuity tester leads(red wires) This item seems to be operational as after plugging it in the"red" leads were touched together and the neon indicator lit. The hard plastic case/ cover has no cracks with only some scaring marks on the inside of the unit cover. There is no corrosion in any of the vacuum tube pin inserts(best way to describe) and the electrical cord- tester leads are very pliable with no cracking. Tube filament continuity tester TEST-O-MATIC Shell Electronic Mfg Corp
This auction is for a TEST-O-MATIC. Filament Continuity& Hi Voltage Tester- Model C2. Made by the Shell Electronic Mfg Corp. 1) In the first picture the built-in flashlight is working. 2) In the second picture the continuity light is working because the fuse test buttons are shorted with a pair of scissors. 3) The tester is powered by 2 AA batteries(included) 4) The"HV" or High Voltage) terminal is connected to both legs of a neon lamp. I have not tested the HV function of the tester. If you already own a Shell Electronic TEST-O-MATIC vacuum tube tester. This would be a great addition to your test equipment. Realistic Tube Battery Continuity Tester & Manual, TBC T-B-C 22-20-32 22-2032
This is a repaired and tested Realistic TBC tube. Battery and continuity tester. Radio Shack packed a lot of functionality into a compact box. The tube tester is a nice one and does a good job of identifying weak tubes. The emission tester part of the instrument was calibrated. I tested some known weak tubes that read GOOD on many emission testers. This T-B-C did not make that mistake and called the tubes weak. It also had no trouble identifying leaky and shorted tubes. This tester is good for testing"modern" vacuum tubes including the following bases: Loctal(8-pin) Octal(8-pin) Compactron(12-pin) Nuvistor(5-pin) Novar Noval(9-pin miniature) 9+1 pin miniature(like Noval with center pin) 7-pin miniature So it will handle most post-WW2 tubes including rock'n roll(6L6. EL34, 12AX7, EL84, 7025 etc. transmitter, sweep, radio& ... moreTV. All of the sockets are tight and in good shape. The switches, selectors and controls are all good. The case is in good shape, the meter has a crack but is easily readable. The meter pointer is a little bouncy, but I think that's how these things were made. The battery tester works but was not calibrated. I replaced one of the battery voltage divider resistors that was way out of tolerance, the rest are close enough, but not in perfect calibration. The continuity checker works like it should. Test leads are not included. The tester comes with a manual which is not original. It's one I put together from other manuals for identical tube testers. I wrote the battery and continuity test sections in the manual and edited the test charts as needed to work with the faceplate layout of the TBC. All in all. This tester is ready to go and will accurately test the emission of over 800 tubes. For a good description of the overall physical shape. Please see the pictures. US only. No international sales. Vintage Realistic T-B-C TBC Vacuum Tube Battery Continuity Tester cat 22-20-32
Purchased at auction from a repairmans estate. This tester is in excellent physical condition. There are no cracks. Deep scratches, ect. No manual is included, what is in the pictures is what is included. This has not been tested and may or may not work, so I am selling for parts or repair.
