NICE WORKING WESTON TUBE TESTER
This is model 777. This tester works. Will test tubes just fine but the line adjust will only move about half way to the center. When you turn the line adjust knob the hum gets louder. It is working the needle just does not move to the center. The case is in fairly good condition. It is missing the handle. If you need a good tester without paying a lot of money this is it.

Heathkit IT-21 Tube Tester- Nice! Accurate! HAM Here's a nice. Clean Heathkit model IT-21 tube tester. It has all the sockets you've been looking for to test the tubes in your vintage radios. It'll test those older 4-pin, 5-pin, 6-pin, and even 7-pin tubes, as well as the later 8-pin Octal, 8-pin Loctal and the 7-pin and 9-pin miniatures. It also has sockets for both 5-pin and 7-pin Nuvistors, 9-pin Novar tubes and 12-pin Compactrons. The 9-pin miniature socket has an additional center pin to also accept 10-pin miniature tubes. The test circuit of the IT-21 is identical to Heath's later models IT-17 and IT-3117, and the earlier"TC" models, and the test data for these testers is also usable with the IT-21. To ensure accuracy of a newly built kit. Heath didn't provide any calibration adjustments for this model ... moretester, relying instead on the inherent accuracy provided by using close tolerance components in the measuring circuits. Hickok 6000a MicromhosTube Tester - Very nice - tests VG
Auction is for a used Hickok 6000a tube tester as shown in pictures. This tester is in very nice condition as seen in pics both inside and out. Case shows some normal wear and tear but overall pretty nice for a Hickok. Pics show voltage tests for the transformer using my Fluke. with a 250K shunt resistor. Plate voltage measures 155.5 and within 3% of spec of 150 Signal voltage test at 2.485v and within less than 1% of spec of 2.50 Very good! I also showed a pic of a 12AU7 tube being tested at 2150 mhos which was also tested on an Amplitrex at 2100 mhos so very close This tester has always given test results right in line with my main tester. A Hickok 533a which I have used for years. Overall a very nice tester. It hasn't been actually calibrated as the main voltages and test results were so good I saw no need for it. Everything in the ... moreinside appears original and in very good shape it is very clean on the inside I tested the 83 tube and it tests very strong as does the 5Y3gt which was a NOS tube I put in a while back. The grid cap has a small chip out of the bakelite end but still functions fine. Shorts lights work fine. Radio City 808A/ 808AA Tube& Set Tester It would appear that this tester could be used to test tubes and other electronic functions. It comes with a lead that appears to attach to the back end of a TV cathode ray tube. There is a probe and some other leads as well. One of the pointer knobs is cracked in half. It might be able to be repaired but I will include a similar replacement in case it cannot be fixed. The rear of the wooden case has some mold/mildew staining which may or may not be cleanable. The wooden case appears to be made of oak with very nice box corner joinery. The handle feels nice and solid as are the rubber feet on the bottom. The plastic window for the scroll chart is warped/bowed inward on one side. This tester was pulled from storage and not plugged in or tested in any way- comes with leads and manual as shown- sold ... moreas-is/as-found. If any, wear around the knobs as happens when a tester is used frequently, indicating this unit has seen little actual use during it's long lifetime. This unit has an 83 tube rectifier and a 5Y3WGT tube rectifier. Outer cloth covering of case shows typical wear with some worn through spots at edges and corners. Unit still has all four rubber feet and original handle. Power cord has been replaced. Unit has been used to test 5 Volt rectifiers like 5Y3, 6 Volt triode tubes like 6SN7, 6 Volt diodes like 6H6, and 12 Volt triodes like 12AX7 all with normal meter readings. Very Nice Knight Allied "400" Tube Tester Works Fine
This is a nice example of the Knight 400 Tube Tester. It includes the tube chart which is hidden inside the body of the tester. I tested several 12AX7 tubes and one 6SN7 and the tube tester works fine! Meter moves nice and freely. Filament and load knobs work nicely. The metal cabinet looks like new except for some spotty rust on the lower corner as shown in the last picture.

I checked several tubes of different types and the parameters came up very close to mine. It has two books with it in addition to the tube checking chart. One book shows how it works and how to use it and the other is an owner's that includes a schematic. I always tell people who buy these things to clean the control and the switches. This is a very very nice antique tube tester. From late 1920's to early 1930's. This is original meter and neon indicator. It does work. And will test tubes. It may need to be calibrated, however I don't know. Without the tube pictured though. If you wanted to display this unit, it would restore quite nicely. Look at the pictures for condition of box and meter. I always enjoyed showing this one off. I have owned it for about twenty years. I purchased this WE KS-15750-L2 Tube Tester early this year to finalize the design and testing of the new DIGITAL MAIN METERS as shown in one of the pictures. It was upgraded with enhancements and now that the project is finished its surplus. The Digital Main Meters are being offered for sale by our group VHSystems on eBay. CONDITION: The metal case is in really good condition with a few markings from normal use. Faceplate knobs and meters are in very good condition. The electronics are nice. The roll chart works well and has the Western Electric types listed. The original handle has been replaced with a new heavy duty equipment handle. Pictures show all parts of the unit including the enhancements. The Digital Multimeter and the Digital Main Meter shown in the pictures are not included. If desired this unit can have a Digital Main Meter ... moreinstalled here before shipment by purchasing one listed by VHSystems here on eBay. Enhancements. Calibration and tests performed: Rectifiers 83 and 5Y3GT were replaced with solid state devices. This conversion plugs into the tube sockets and can be removed. A combination of zener diodes and rectifiers to match the tubes being removed. It also provides a load to the power transformer filament windings for power stability from load to no load variations. Plate Current pin jacks were added for testing plate current with a Digital Multimeter. Bias Selenium Rectifier was replaced with Silicon Rectifiers. Bias. Main Meter and VR Voltage Electrolytic Capacitors replaced. The large self bias can capacitor removed& replaced with modern small ones. A terminal strip was installed where the self bias capacitor was removed. Grounded line cord installed that attaches to the terminal strip. Main Meter was tested for Full Scale with120 uA and 180 mV. All three meters meet specifications. Return to zero and do not stick. Calibration was verified using Hickok’s procedures in the supplied manual. This is one RARE bird of a tube tester! B&K 650 Dyna Quik. Recapped and cleaned! Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. Will easily do GOOD/BAD tests or Gm testing just by adjusting the Sensitivity potentiometer. Very easy to use! Tests both sides of a dual triode(6SN7.12AX7, 12AU7,etc) with the flick of a single switch. In the pictures you can see me testing both sides of a 6SN7 that is very well balanced. Only about 50Gm difference from one side to the other. Overall 7.5 to 8 out of 10 condition. Comes with Setup book and Mercury AD-4 Adapter for compactrons. Case shows some age but still in better condition than most old tube testers. Comes with a good. tested 83 rectifier tube and a good tested 6AT5. nice and working Sylvania tube tester Model 140. Super clean with NO corrosion or rust, tube sockets best I have ever seen on a tube tester! I have gone thru the tester and replaced all out of spec resistors and tested for proper operation, while I do not have a manual for this, I do have an online file I can email, the tester noted as a dynamic tester. The roll chart lists 9-pin tubes, however there is no 9-pin socket on it, there is a space for a socket so that a 9-pin can be wired in, although I do not have instructions for doing so, probably can be found online. Hickok 533A Tube Tester. This is an exceptionally clean tester that shows only minimal signs of use. There are a few scuffs on the case. But it otherwise looks and functions fine. The face is nice and bright and also looks very good. I see a few splotches of discoloration but nothing that stands out. The tester works great. As you can see from the images it calibrates to line voltage. It addition, I am showing it testing a 12AX7. the test results are commensurate with my calibrated Hickok 539C tester. Included are grid and plate cap jumpers and a copy of the Instruction Manual. This will make someone a very nice tester to use daily. Buyer pays $25 shipping in CONUS.

TV-7 A/U vacuum tube tester. Calibrated. Nice shape
Offered is a TV-7 A/U vacuum tube tester. It's in very nice cosmetic condition and it comes with all of its original attachments and original flip chart. I have owned this tester for at least 5-6 years and have had it calibrated by TV-7 specialist Dan Nelson. He has calibrated 5 or 6 TV-7's for me and always does an excellent job. The calibration document is included with the set. I have owned many TV-7's over the years. These were work horse units for the military and most received very heavy use. When you buy an original un-touched unit you can expect that it will need extensive repair to bring it back to life. The most common problem is that the 7& 9 pin Miniature sockets and the 8-pin Octal socket are going to be worn. The pins will be so loose that any tube that you test will wallow around in the socket making poor contact. ... moreLeaving you with an incorrect test reading or intermittent reading. These need to be changed. In addition both the 83 and 5Y3 rectifiers are usually well used and need to be replaced. Calibration will most certainly be"off" This set has had the 7&9 pin sockets replaced as well as the Octal socket. Anti-Ferrite beads have been added to all three. This is a feature of the TV7-D and is useful in preventing oscillation of high gain tubes such as WE417A and 6DJ8's. The set was also calibrated to spec's. A detailed calibration report is provided. It looks like the calibration service was@$200. I am downsizing now so, if you are looking for a nice clean calibrated TV-7 which will last you another decade or more, then this is probably the one for you. TV-10 D/U vacuum tube tester. Nice shape
Offered is a TV-10 D/U vacuum tube tester. Its in very nice cosmetic condition and it comes with a copy of the original manual/data sheet. The TV-10 is a mutual conductance type tester with circuitry similar to the TV-7. The notable difference between the two are additional sockets for the 829/832(the large white ceramic socket you see on the left hand side of the tester) and 2C39(on the right hand side next to the meter) In addition. The meter scale is set to read directly in micro-ohms rather than as a percentage. This is a benefit if you prefer not having to translate the percentage scale from a TV-7 into micro-ohms. I also note that the roll chart has settings for both the KT-88 and KT-66, which sometimes is missing from TV-7 data. The roll chart also shows a good list of Western Electric types including: 101,102, 262,300, 310, 311, 421 ... moreetc. The user manual has additional settings for 274 and the 205D. The T-10 is not a common tester. There far fewer of these around than the TV-2/3/or 7. I think it is probably superior to the 7. Several individuals I know think that they can be more accurately calibrated than the 7 and that is probably true. This set is all original as best I can tell. It does not appear to have had much use. The 7 and 9 pin mini sockets are tight and make good contact. Same too with the octal socket. The roll chart turns freely and all other functions appear to be in good operating shape. The only cosmetic flaw to note, besides the usual dents and dings, is that one of the hinges on the back side of the set has been replaced with something that looks modern. You can probably see this in one of the photos. I have owned this tester for 3-4 years and have only used it occasionally. I am downsizing now so, if you are looking for a nice clean TV-10, then this is probably the one for you. This unit is designed for 110-115VAC only. This tester came from one of my Ham friends who passed away several years ago. It is TESTED WORKING complete with a copy of the original instruction book which tells all about this unit and also how to calibrate it beside how to use it properly. It comes with more books, 2-tube sub books, tube schematic book and an old tube price list! This unit is in EXCELLENT CONDITION(Inside face, sockets and knobs are in like new condition) and appears to have been seldom used and shows NO signs of shop wear, extra clean and, with all of the tube sockets-each socket has common tubes listed beside each one and the values to set making this a very easy& fast ... moretester to use! Tubes such as a 12AX7 are listed and instead of doing two separate settings for the dual triode, you have two push buttons as"TEST-1 and TEST-2" that you can test both sides without making any other adjustments! This is a MUTUAL CONDUCTANCE tester that will tell you what you need to know about every tube you test and IS NOT a cheap diode tester. The B&K factory did a very nice job with this piece of equipment! The only downside of this tester is that it does not have sockets for early 4 or 5 pin tubes. It adjusts properly to my line voltage. I tested an old 6E5, seems fine, nice bright display and 110% reading. Then I tried a 76 triode and it came up 90% Then I tried a 12AU7 and it came up 5% but it tested great on my EICO 628. So I figure it needs restoration. All the buttons seem to be working good, some were sticking at fist, but got better as I kept working them. So it has good transformers. Good meter and good controls. Schematic on the bottom, inside. Up for bid is a Hickok built KS-15750-L1 tube tester. This machine is similar to the Hickok 539-c and was built for the Western Electric Company by Hickok and includes testing data for Western Electric tubes such as the 300B etc. both on the roll chart and in the supplementary tube data manual. Included in this sale are the following: The tester. A grid cap lead, a larger plate cap connector so you can build a lead that will allow you to check tubes such as an 811A without holding the grid cap lead to the plate cap(see picture) a copy of the operations manual and a copy of the Obsolete Supplementary Test Data Manual, and the Daven 4416B Self Bias Decade Resistor. In my opinion, the condition of this unit is very good both cosmetically and functionally. The cabinet is clean inside and out as is the tester itself. The face of the tester has ... moresome light scratching and the repainted cabinet has some scratches also(see pictures) All meters, switches and pots work well-roll chart does too. The only fault I could find with any of this is that the far left filament switch is a little stiff in a couple of positions, but I think that this is more from lack of use than anything. I tested tubes in what I think to be the most used sockets and had no problems with connectivity(specifically the octal, 4, 6, 7, 9, pin sockets) Taken all together, with the way the switches and pots work and given the tightness of the tube sockets plus no distinguishable wear around the thumbwheel for the chart roller I don't believe that this tester has had a great deal of use. Here's a very nice Mercury 2000 mutual conductance and emission type tube tester that also does transistor testing. It's been lightly used and stored most of the time for many years. You can see the tester itself is beautiful, although the case has a few scuffs in it. Also the front two feet are missing- I actually removed them years ago so it would tilt ever so slightly toward me in the shop to avoid a light reflection. I always thought I'd save them and put them back on sometime, but that obviously didn't work. near as I can tell this is still working perfectly, I tested a couple known good tubes and got the results I was expecting. However since there are nearly an infinite amount of settings and combinations it's hard to say with 100% accuracy that it's perfect. Hickok TV-7/U Military Tube Tester Working& Very Nice Conditon all Within SPECS Hiclok TV-7/U Military Tube Tester Works very good and installed new JAN 83 and 5y3GT rectifiers. Would normally say it was calibrated. But according to the manual, it was only tested& adjusted. Bias voltages all within specs, 22, 50, 75, and 100. The plate voltage was checked according to the manual, with a 375k resistor parallel from the cathode to the plate, pin 6& 3, and it is right at 150 volts and specs call for 150 volts. The high screen voltage used the same resistor on pins 6& 4 and was at 129 volts and specs call for 130 + or– 3 volts. The low screen voltage was checked and at 56 and specs call for 56 volts. Also, checked the line voltage with a 6L6 in the socket and it is at 6.1 volts. This was all in the manual and all the manuals and ... moreupdated tube data can be found here: Tested a 6L6 and there are pictures of that test below and the data says the minimum for a 6L6 is 25 and this one tests at 35. The meter reads on a 0– 120 scale and I am sure there is a way to convert to Gm. But that info was not included in any of the manuals. Nice Jackson 637 tube tester. VOM, noise test and tube chart! Jackson Model 637. This is a very well made tester that incorporates an analog VOM into it's circuit. You can measure voltage. Resistance, and current with a Jackson 637. Banana jacks are provided to connect VOM test leads. And high-impedance headphones to listen in on the tube as it is being tested. Setup procedure is quite similar to a Hickok/Stark tube tester. There are two rows of 11 push buttons on the panel; the top row are to select functions and ranges for the VOM circuit. And the bottom row helps test for shorts, leakage, and the'dynamic' conductance of triodes/tetrodes/pentodes. The headphones are not supplied but easy to find on EBay or else where. This to tube tester has worked well for me when I used it but I haven't used it much recently. In the photographs you can see it working well testing a 6v6 tube. Assume it may need calibration. Though, this tube looks to test accurately. This tester is in excellent condition and is a very highly regarded tube tester. Precision 10-12 Tube Tester I have had this for decades. If I ever plugged it in it would have been at least 30 years ago so I'm going to leave powering it up for the first time this century to you. The cord looks fine. But I never plug in old tube-era gear. All the switches and dials move as they should. The meter and the roll chart look good. A couple tube sockets(7& 9 pin) seem to have been replaced, possibly for updating. One grid cap is missing, the other broken. The plywood top and bottom of the case needs to be replaced. I tested several tubes and all the controls work as should. Checks tubes from OA2 through ZD19. Also checks foreign tubes. The circuitry of the Fast-Check has been engineered to provide for all the possible combinations of pin connections of future tube types. It will check over 700 tube types. Knight 600 Tube Tester Calibrated, Tested, Working, Good Sockets, Nice Checker
This listing is for a fully working. Repaired, calibrated and tested, vintage tube tester. It's the model 600 from Knight(Allied Radio) Best I can tell. This is the version between the 600A and 600B tester. It has all the functionality of the 600B with the silk screen that resembles the 600A. What's important is that it has sockets for 9-pin Novar& 12 pin Compactron tubes so it will test a lot of tube types. Here's the list: Large base tubes: 4. 5, 6, 7& 8(octal) pin tubes. Miniatures: 7. 9& 9+1(Not many testers can handle the 9+1, 10-pin tubes. Loctals. Novars. Compactrons. Nuvistors. I tested all of the above tubes with this tester except the Nuvistors and the 9+1 miniatures. I checked the socket wiring for these tubes and it looks good so I think they will work as well. The roll chart is a good one in both how it ... moreoperates and the tubes it includes. It is missing some of the antique tube types and the much newer Compactron& Novar tubes. To help you with that. I'm including a bound and printed copy of the manual. The manual is not original. Included in the manual are the instructions, schematic, construction book, tube supplements, and tube chart for obsolete tubes. The manual is complete an not missing any pages. The test data included in this manual is as complete as I've seen. The roll chart works well. All the switches and controls work well and the sockets are good. This tube tester is the portable style as opposed to a bench instrument. That means it has a closing case with a handle that you can take with you on service calls. You probably won't be doing much of that. But it's still nice to have the closing case because this tester stores much better. As you can see from the pictures, this unit is in good condition. The case has some wear and a gouge on the bottom. The handle, hinges and latches are good. The exterior hardware has some rust. The faceplate shows normal wear but not very much. Very Nice TV-7-U Military Tube Tester New Tube Set Voltages Checked Extras
I am selling a a very nice TV-7-U military tube tester with a copy of the military manual. Supplemental Data, and Voltage Alignment Instructions. I picked this one up from a local HAM operator who has had it for a long time and recently had it gone over by another tech buddy in his HAM club and both tubes were replaced and it checked out AOK. It has not been sent off to have a high price alignment but I have every reason to believe it is working properly. I have tested a number of tubes including 6L6 and many audio tubes and I am getting the readings I would expect comparing them to my Hickok and Triplett testers. The case has a dent or two but the paint is very nice and the inside is clean and all sockets are tight. Has a socket saver in the octal socket. The tube chard book is nice and I am including a copy of the military manual and supplemental ... moredata and voltage alignment data. I do not see any tube socket adaptors that may have been with it but it certainly tests the bulk of the tubes you will test and if you are looking at this listing you know the value of a very nice TV-7-U. Hickok 6000A Tube Tester/Checker Works Well and Nice
This is a working Hickok 6000A Tube tester. It's in pretty nice condition overall. Outside has the usual scrapes and tears, inside has far less blemishes. The meter lens is cracked as seen in pics but does not interfere with operation and looks worse in the pic than in person, the grid cap lead has a chip out of the side but works as it should. The handle was broken but repaired with a super strong aircraft glue and is holding solid, at the same time I reinforced the inside of the box with aircraft glue and it is nice and solid. The corners have loose fabric that will probably glue down nicely but I don't have glue to suit that purpose. I did check the calibration and everything is within factory specs according to sources online. I do not have a manual for this tube tester but it can be downloaded for free on the web. I do have a ... moreprinted copy of the updated tube chart that are not listed on the roll. The roll chart works well but does get tight near the ends. If you are not familiar with these tube testers I highly recommend that you download a free copy online; this tester will probably do far more testing than you think. This is a mutual conductance tube tester. But will also function as a simple emissions tester, diode tester and transistor tester. This item will be double boxed for shipping and fully insured. The face of the actual tester is very clean, with the only notable issue being a fine crack about 2" on the meter lens, along with some minor scuffing and scratches. Not as bad as it sounds, as the meter can still be read just fine. The meter is made by Simpson for Heathkit and works properly.
