B&K 707 Dyna Jet Mutual Conductance tube tester. This tester works excellent and was calibrated less than 3 months ago and I have tested several tubes with it and had excellent results also I had the 12AX7 modification done to test 12AX7 tubes on the full meter scale which is a great upgrade and shown testing a 12AX7 in one photo. The face of the tester is in nice shape except it is missing the 9 pin straightener on the panel but I have included a 7& 9 pin straightener shown in the photos and the outer case is not perfect but nice compared to most I have seen with a few minor scuffs& wear but very solid. The operating instructions& tube data settings manual is also included with the instructions and settings for the 12AX7 full scale mod. Hickok 800A Tube Tester Calibrated & Everything Within Specs NO Adapter Needed
Hickok 800A Calibrated& Everything Within Specs Includes 9& 12 pin Compactron Hickok 800A Tube Tester 1971 More Pictures Below Description This later 800A model has a calibration adjustment pot. That can be seen in the pictures, that is not on the earlier 800A testers. The CA-4 adapter is not needed since this can test all tubes up to 9 pin mini, and the 9 and 12 pin compactron. There is an abundance of available information including tube data available at no charge at Bama: Went through all the calibration steps and checked all the voltage specifications and they were all virtually perfect. Plate voltage. Bias voltages at 100, 75, 50, and 22, signal voltage, screen and low screen voltage, filament voltages and checked with 6L6 loaded, shorts test, and calibration tubes. The picture with the DMM is showing the tester set at the line, ... moreand a 6L6 in the socket and the filament/heater voltage reads 6.29 volts with the tube loaded. The line voltage being correct is critical to obtain proper Gm test results and so is the heater voltage. This later versions of the 800A has a calibration adjustment for the AC line test. Adjustable resistor R24/ 100K is used and is the the POT with the blue knob pictured. Many Hickok testers can still be calibrated. But with a tube in the socket the filament voltage drops under 6 volts and you get low Gm test readings. Tested a 6L6 calibration tube that tests with almost exact Gm at 5500 and the tube calls for a Gm of 5475. Tested a 6AX7 calibration tube that tests at 1400 and 1450 Gm and the tube calls for 1400 and 1440 Gm and are pictured. The 6ax7 is not on the roll chart and located in the obsolete tube data. It is all original including the two tubes. The 83 and 5y3gt that were tested on a Hickok 752. The 83 tests at 1050 in both sections and 600 is the min. The 5y3gt tests at 625 on both sections and 400 is the min. This tester has the original grounded plug original to the tester and the roll chart is dated 1971 and turns smoothly. The tester has been modified to test Plate Current using the diode test points just under the meter. Instructions on how this works included. It is important to test idle current when matching power tubes. This tester is the newer vintage of the 800A with the voltage set pot(see blue dial in interior pictures) This tester has been refurbished so that the clunky adjustment rig R15 for bias and reduced screen voltage can be quickly and easily set. The leakage/shorts check dial in this unit feels like there are an extra indent between settings. I have checked out the control and electrically it is functioning as designed and is in good shape you just need to ensure you are looking at where the dial is pointing in particular with that control. Hickok TV-7 D/U Military Tube Tester. I purchased this in March 2013 from C.G. Industries. C.G. Industries had calibrated the unit 12/28/2012. The unit has a small sticker above the meter with their contact information. I have used this tested to test hundreds of tubes I have sold to customers and it's done a great job and served me well. I have decided to sell this unit as I recently purchased a 539c. The tester is calibrated and in great working condition. It includes the original 7.8, and 9 pin socket savers, extra 9 pin and 8 pin adapters, one test lead, and two factory adapters that I honestly have never had to use.

EICO 667 Dynamic Conductance Tube & Transistor Tester Repaired Tested Calibrated
Here is a clean. Calibrated and tested EICO 667 Tube Tester. It works because I tested it and fixed what was broken. Testing revealed several problems including an intermittent tube socket which had to be replaced. The only thing I wasn't able to test was the 7 pin Nuvistor socket because I don't have any of those tubes. I checked the socket wiring and it looked OK, so that socket most likely works as it should. I checked the transistor test function with both PNP and NPN transistors. It worked just like new. Most people looking to buy a tube tester rarely consider the transistor function. But the EICO 667 has a pretty decent transistor tester built in. It checks both the Iceo(collector to emitter. Open base) leakage current and the Beta. This works especially well for signal transistors. The EICO 667 Dynamic Conductance Tester is ... morean excellent tube tester which provides much more reliable results than the typical emission tester. I have a weak EL34 tube in my parts box that tests good on almost all emission testers. This 667 correctly rejects this tube as bad. See picture. Overall this tester is in very good condition. It has minimal marks on the faceplate and meter lens. The switches and controls all work well and the tube sockets are nice and tight. The roll chart works well and the meter is smooth and repeatable. Take a look at the photos. They do a good job of describing the unit's overall condition. There are 10 sockets on this tester's panel and it can test many tubes that will fit in the sockets including 5& 7 pin Nuvistors. 7& 8 pin sub-miniatures, 7& 9 pin miniatures, 9+1(center) pin miniatures, Octals, Loctals, Compactrons, and some Novars(top-evacuated) The Novar socket is also used to test panel lamps. This tester can test many audio and transmitter(sweep) tubes. Comes complete with an assembly manual, schematic and two test data charts. Also included is an"as-built" schematic which is a little different from the one included in the assembly manual. The tester is in good to very good condition(see pictures) and works as designed. All sockets. Controls and transformer voltages have been tested, and the line setting has been calibrated. The CTI TC-20 is designed just like the Heathkit IT-17& IT-21 series of tube testers, and the test data charts are interchangeable between them. Here is a very nice PACO tube tester. It's the Model 612 tube and battery tester. I haven't done much with PACO gear(though I'm totally dependent on their C-20 capacitor tester) But based on the shiny chrome faceplate this looks to be a later production run of the venerable 612 emission tester. This is a nice tester. It beats my trusty old EICO 625, that's for sure. I toyed with the idea of swapping out the 625 for the 612 for my quick bench tester. still might happen. We'll see how the sale goes. This tester has the following sockets: Octal Loctal 7& 9 Pin Miniature 4. 5, 6& 7 Pin Large Base Acorn Subminiature(8-pin pencil tube) 7 pin in-line Subminiature It will test most. Many items on ebay have stories to tell. Some are happy. Some are sad. This is one such item. If you're not interested in my making a short story long. Skip ahead to the executive summary. Back in the days when vacuum tubes reigned supreme. Knight, a division of Allied Radio, was the maker of many wonderful test instruments. The KG-600 series of tube testers was a proud member of this family. This fine Knight Tube Tester was born a Model KG-600. But soon after the release of the KG-600, many new tubes hit the scene, most notably the Novar and Compactron types. Knight engineers quickly and very ingeniously designed an upgraded tester, the KG-600A, that was just like the 600 but would also test the new tubes. The ingenious part of the design was that the 600A and subsequent 600-series testers didn't add any more lever switches. The ... moreKnight engineers figured out how to make the same old 10 lever switches perform tests for the additional 2 pins in the Compactron tube base(12 total) Most, if not all, tester manufacturers went with a 13 lever design. 13 lever switches would allow for 12 pins plus a grid cap. Some prior owner of this fine instrument realized how easy it was to upgrade the KG-600 to a KG-600A. Because the same KG-600 circuit with its 10 lever switches was able to test the new tubes. All you had to do is add the new tube sockets and wire them properly. And wire them properly they did. With the exception of drilling the Compactron socket chassis hole a bit too large, they did an excellent job of it. They even installed a KG-600B roll chart in the instrument. This new roll chart had an enhanced grid test procedure that also included a gas test. It was an excellent idea. Here's the sad part. For some reason, the meter lens was removed when the new tube socket hole was drilled. When I bought this tester, the meter movement was packed with tiny iron filings- like what you would get when drilling a hole in the steel chassis. The needle was stuck! And the 83 is stamped. Tested both and both tested as good as new on Hickok 752; 1000 on both sections of the 83 where 600 is the min. and 650 on both sides of of the 5y3 and 300 is the min. With a 6L6 in the socket the filament voltage is 6.39 VAC. A new three-prong cord was added and the original plug will be included. One issue is that the cap wire is cracking near where it is plugged in to the tester. But works fine. One half of a hinge is missing on the top of the case. The tester is also measuring Gm very close to other Hickok testers we have. 6000a, 750, and a 752. The Hickok 799 Mustang is Hickok's only Solid State tube tester that they produced. This particular unit has had one upgrade which is a new capacitor on the meter. The one removed was good and will be included. The tester is calibrated per the calibration instructions and works perfect. The unit itself is in great condition as you can see in the pictures. The Hickok 799 Mustang includes the instruction manual(dated 1965) and tube data that is in addition to the tube data on the unit itself. EICO 625 Tube Tester, Repaired Recapped Calibrated Tested, Accurate All Works
The EICO 625 Tube Testers are easy to use. Accurate and reliable. That's what made them so popular. Another reason the EICO 625 was so popular is because it will test a lot of different tubes. And if the sockets it has aren't enough. Then adapters are available that will test almost every consumer tube ever made. This unit comes with a bound copy of the Instruction Manual. Assembly Manual and lots of test setup charts. One of the charts has an exhaustive list of tubes and includes tubes tested with an adapter. I repaired. Recapped, calibrated and tested this instrument. I cleaned the sockets and switch contacts. Everything works. The switches and sockets are tight and the meter is smooth and repeatable. It calibrates to line very nicely and identified my weak EL34. Good tubes tested good. Short and leakage indicator has a new neon ... morelamp and works well. The roll chart mechanism isn't the best I've seen but quite workable. It looks like the roll chart has sat for a long time in one position and one section of it has some dark spots. Everything is still very readable. On the plus side. This is the most recent roll chart I've ever seen. It's the EICO 625-10. It also has a green roll chart window. The window is nice, but I don't think it's an EICO original. The knobs and grid caps are in good shape. Overall this unit is clean. But has tarnish and marks. The faceplate also has marks. The 5Y3GT is a JAN Ken Rad and both are as good as new. With a 6L6 in the socket the filament voltage is 6.31 VAC which is critical for correct Gm test results and calibration. Many Hickok testers will drop below 6 VAC with a tube in the socket causing inaccurate Gm results. The 6L6 being tested in the pictures shows a Gm reading of 5500 which is the exact same result on a calibrated Hickok 750. A new three-prong cord was added for protection. Up for sale is a repaired. Tested and working B&K Dyna Jet 607 Tube Tester. This unit is B&K's clone of the Sencore Mighty Might VII(TC162) You can see an excellent write-up of this unit at TubeSound's website: Overall. This tester is in decent condition and works. The lid has a crack in one of the corners and the case has seen some use. The case is a hard plastic and has held up well. For details of overall condition, please see the pictures. I tested every socket except#8 for which I don't have any tubes. I checked the wiring to#8 and it looks fine. In the unusual case that you need to test a 5BC3 tube. I'm pretty sure this socket will also work. The lockout switches and all controls work as they should. Everything tested worked as it should. I calibrated the short and grid leakage circuits. The short and power lights ... morework. The leakage and quality tests worked as expected for all the tubes I tested. As described in the TubeSound blog. I checked the test voltage-load combinations for all LOAD settings A through J. All voltages and resistive loads were well within spec. The original meter was broken and I replaced it with a new meter. It had the same rating but a different faceplate. So I made a faceplate for it to match the B&K original. The grid clip is also a new replacement and not original. Included with the tester is an original Setup Guide which is in good shape. A little dirty from use but very legible. Also included is a bound copy of the Instruction Manual. The manual includes a calibration procedure, parts list and schematic. The manual is easy to read, but the schematic is hard to read. B&K 707 TUBE TESTER FULLY CALIBRATED READY TO USE
The unit is rough on the outside. But it is a very solid case. To look new it could be painted or recovered. On the inside as you can see from the pics, it is very clean, actually looks unused. The tester was in storage for a few years and so before I decided to sell it I had it calibrated. Before it was calibrated all of the capacitors were replaced and all od the resistors were checked for out of tolerance. There are two#55 lamps in there in bayonet sockets that have proven to be faulty after some time so to remedy this the bulbs were soldered into the sockets. Then it was calibrated to spec and tested with many tubes of known condition. It was right on the money. Included with it will be a copy of the original tube manual. Works perfectly and is priced to sell.

The TV-7 series of military tube testers is recognized as some of the most practical and useful testers available. The D/U was the last of the TV-7 series. These are very portable. Hickok 539-A / 539A Tube Tester - serviced and calibrated
Hickok 539-A Tube Tester calibrated This Tube tester was serviced with new resistors. Caps and complete adjustments for correct signal levels and meter bridge setting etc. I also replaced the 83 Rectifier Tube with Solid state replacement to reduce the load on the transformer. 539 A is the earlier version of 539B/C and has almost the same features like Self bias terminals and Plate Current Measuring terminals etc. Also signal level can be switched unlike entry level 600 A or 800A versions. This model can be a versatile Hickok like 539B or C without fancy price. Plate Voltage. Screen, Grid Bias and Grid Signal levels were checked after adjustments. also the Meter bridge was adjusted for correct meter reading for Micromho based on Daniel Schoo 539 C calibration method on all ranges. I also checked a known calibration sample 6L6 for correct ... morereading along with few 12AX7 tubes. All are showing correct reading. I also use Brent Jesse Recording Sample calibration 6L6 tube for checking this tester. Few points to note. This tester will not be shipped overseas due to fragile as well as size of the tester. The wood was the original 539 A box but the covering was really not worthy of this tester when I got it. So I removed the decayed covering. The wood box is not of great quality( as Hickok boxes were meant to have the covering to make it look better than bare wooden box. The buyer can get it covered using Tolex or suitable material. I had done such a work on 800 A model and can guide the buyer if he wishes to do on his own. This tester is over 50 year old and hence the top looks its age. However I had replaced the power cable with 3 pronged safety 3 wire power cabling. The earth is connected to the top Metal plate to avoid issues with power input. B&K 707 Mutual Conductance TUBE TESTER - RE-CAPPED CALIBRATED & 12AX7 MODIFIED
Here is a mutual conductance tester you can be proud of and count on for decades to come. A beautiful refubished, calibrated, and improved B&K 707. This one was from Glendale Union High School, Phoenix, AZ(see pic of original condition) and has not seen much use- a great thing! Very well preserved and super clean from that dry climate. It has been carefully cleaned and polished. Completely re-capped with Sprague Atom and Illinois(4 caps) resistors checked, meter circuit checked, tubes checked and 83 tube replaced with silicon diodes, unit fully calibrated(adjusted shorts detection; leakage circuit, grid emmision, signal voltage; dc bias& balance all according to B&K instructions) checked DC plate voltage& DC screen voltage. Then 12AX7 and 6BQ5 modified. This 12AX7 modification brings the correct bias voltage to the new 12AX7 ... moresocket(number 24) for test results we want and expect to see- ranging from 0 to 120. Not 0 to 30(with 22 min good) as is stock. A wonderful modification as no one likes the design defect of the 22 min 12AX7 testers(all B&K, Hickok, If you want to test the old way though, it is still there available on socket 8. Either way you test each side of the 12AX7 with test buttons 1 and 2, no need to reset any controls. 6BQ5 new bias also brought to 6BQ5 test socket to give you a more accurate test. Meter lens polished. Nice outer case cleaned, chrome/nickel plated corners, hinges and latches polished. 4 new rubber feet attached to the case bottom so no more worries of damage when putting it on a surface. Military TV-7A/U Mutual Conductance Tube Tester - Refurbished, Calibrated
This tester was my own for many years. It has not seen difficulty duty. It has no dents or dings. But the paint is of course nicked in places due to its time in the Army. I've included a fresh(Oct/2014) calibration. The 83 rectifier tube tests almost as new. All controls are intact and not chipped or broken. Calibration using Nelson Cal tubes was excellent. I also tested it against my Hickok 752A tester and my TV-10D/U tester. All sockets are tight. You won't find a better example of the TV-7A/U anywhere. Calibrated EICO 667 Tube Tester Must See 6550 EL34 6L6 7868 KT88
This is a model 667 tube tester made by EICO. Tester was just calibrated per the manual. It measures Dynamic Conductance on tubes. I tested a few tubes and it works. Notice the 7868. KT88, and 6L6 tubes under a test. All filament voltages were also tested. This front panel is clean(only slight corrosion) and appears to have seen little use because the tube sockets are still tight. This will test octal loctal, 7, 9, 10 miniature, 5, 7 pin nuvistors, 9, 12 pin compactron and pilot lamps. I did not try to test any transistors on this. The case has some scratches, paint flakes, and some rust(nothing a little paint would fix) Meter works very smoothly as it should. This is a B&K Dyna-Jet 707 dynamic mutual conductance tube tester. It was just calibrated per the manual. Notice the different tubes under a test(6L6G. EL34 7868) Also look at the shorted 6L6 tube with the Shorts Light glowing. See arrow on the photo) The fabric looks great for age with only a few minor scratches. The front panel shows some wear. TV-7A/U Military Tube Tester with Digital Meter Serviced & Calibrated Dan Nelson
Military TV-7A/U tube tester. The tester was fully serviced and calibrated by Dan Nelson in March 2014 and has been an excellent tester but I have 2 of them and only need 1 so I am selling this one. I had the didital meter installed for better accuracy and took photos of the invoice from Dan so you can zoom in and see for yourself what was done and the digital meter is by far the best way to go on these testers and I love it and as you can see it was not cheap but well worth the money. The switch& socket panel is in excellent shape with very minimal to no wear and the outer case is better than most. Also it has been upgraded to the 3 prong grounded power cord for safety. It is missing the tube test data book. The rings for the book and the adapters for the odd ball tubes that I have never needed anyway so I removed them so they were out ... moreof the way and now cant find where I put them and you are better of to get the latest updated copy of the test data from here on Ebay anyway as it is much easier to read and has more data and they are cheap. From my personal collection. Here is a mutual conductance tester you can be proud of and count on for decades to come, a beautiful refubished restored and calibrated B&K 747. This one is originally from State of Connecticut, Dept of Education and has clearly not seen much use. Very well kept and super clean, no rust nor corrosion to be seen. Last of the 747 testers, late production date on this one is July 1982(as seen in the closeup. This 747 was very recently fully calibrated(adjusted according to B&K procedures- shorts detection threshold. Leakage circuit, and grid emmision circuit. Then checked and/or adjusted for correct signal voltage, DC bias& balance, DC plate voltage& DC screen voltage- again according to B&K procedures. Importantly, the electrolytic caps were all replaced with USA manufacture Illinois caps. This ... morewill assure the new owner of stability for decades. Resistors were also checked and/or replaced for correct values. This 747 does not need to be 12AX7 modified. Test results read full scale on the meter now. Plate Voltage is 150 and SPEC is 150 +- 2 Signal Voltage is 2.5 and SPEC is 2.5 +- 2 High Screen is 129.5 and SPEC is 130 +- 2 Grid Bias Voltage@ 100 is 40.2 and SPEC is 40 +- 2@ 22 is 2.99 and SPEC is 3 +- 2 Low Screen Voltage is 57 and SPEC is 56 +- 2 Short tests works. All filament voltages are good and with a 6L6 in the socket the voltage was 6 volts which is critical to get accurate results. A lot of Hickok testers can be calibrated, but when a tube is in the socket, the voltage drops too low for accurate test results. Many of you who are real tube aficionados will instantly recognize the brand-name Hickok. The big Hickok"laboratory" models. The 752 series and the 539 series(along with the military version of same, the TV-7 model) are widely considered the most durable and accurate testers ever sold to the general public. They were also sold to the US Government by the thousands, to be used in critical applications, such as planes, tracking equipment, etc. so you know they had to be built to work, and keep working. There are many stories out there, some apocryphal, I'm sure, about these testers surviving floods, mud-slides, extreme rust, extreme heat, you name it, then being plugged in- only to find out they still ... moreworked. Oh, make no mistake, they do and did break down- but it usually took a lot of use and/or abuse to cause that. This tester has some very nice features. Including a test for(relative) remaining tube-life, the ability to test dual-triodes without changing settings, the ability to set exactly accurate plate-voltage that the tube was designed for, the ability to measure the tube's reading in micromhos, test and measures shorts and leakage in the tubes, and much more. One thing it will not do: it will NOT cook your dinner for you(you need a significant other for that) well, maybe it would cook your dinner ONCE- but then, you'd need a new tester.Seriously, though, this really is considered a professional unit. This is a very nice Hickok 800A. Which is the later and more desirable of the 800 series. The case is very presentable, though has some normal wear. The tester deck is quite nice and crisp detailing as you can see in the pictures. The electrical condition is excellent and has been recently calibrated and tests very close to my Dan Nelson calibrated TV7’s. In the pictures. You’ll see line voltage being set and then testing a 6L6(tube not included) T he roll chart moves well from end to end with the typical Hickok tightness at the either end. You’ll have to look long and hard to find another 800A in this nice condition and surely have to would pay much more. The 800A was purchased as a backup and since I don’t normally use it. Here's a nice Eico 625 tube tester. Many were kits. Others were factory-wired. This particular one works great; I tested 12v tubes, 6v tubes, and in the pics a 5Y3; the results were accurate. If you're into matching audio pairs/quads, this isn't the instrument for you; you'll need to fork over a few hundred bucks more for a mutual-conductance tester. However, if you want to get the old Magnavox, Zenith or Philco playing again, this tester will surely help. NOTE: IN THE PICTURES. THE SCREWS ON THE FACEPLATE AREN'T THERE. The 5Y3 tested new and balanced. This tube cannot be replaced with a solid state replacement without loosing accuracy. Calibration double checked with 6L6 and 6sx7 Calibrating Tubes. Then Tripled checked matching tubes on a Calibrated Hickok 533A.

Nice B&K 707 tube tester with 12AX7 modification. Recapped and calibrated
I have recapped this unit and checked all the resistor values. Unit has been calibrated and also has the socket 24 modification to properly test the 12AX7 tubes. See Pictures. Includes only what is shown. This unit also has the factory mod that installed a Silicon diode in place of the rectifier tube!

You are bidding on a RCA WT-110A vacuum tube tester. This tester was recapped and calibrated by the previous owner last year. I have owned this tester for a few months and can attest that it works very well. This tube tester uses cards to set up the parameters for the testing. All the cards are located in the tester. And you flip them into the card slot below the panel meter. No more fiddling with dozens of knobs and levers. Included with the tester is a card punch. The schematic and the manual. It will be packed well for safe arrival.
