For sale is a Hickok model 800K Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. I haven't used the tester for several years and since I don't use it anymore. It's up for sale. I tested several tubes prior to listing it on eBay and the unit still works; I calibrated it some years ago. The tester comes with an extra used# 83 tube(tested good using this tester) I'm also including the standard Hickok operating instruction manual and a Supplemental Manual that includes sections on Foreign and Obsolete Tube Types, Schematic Wiring Diagram, and Calibration Procedures. The manual is about one inch thick. The internal Tube Setup scroll is dated 4-1-65. The faceplate has the words“Jefferson High School" and“School District# 1” etched on it. Vintage HICKOK Model 540 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Radio Amp Stereo
Here's an interesting early HICKOK tube tester model 540. It tests early 4 pin tubes through those of the octal era. I have not done exhaustive testing nor did I evaluate all test settings but the instrument did power on and I was able to test a few tubes. Pictured is a 6F6 under test. The resulting meter deflection appears reasonable but the tube tester has not been recently calibrated. The test meter is contained within a carrying case. The handle is tattered but functional and the tolex-like covering is worn in spots but overall not bad. It measures 14 1/2" x 15 3/4" x 7" not including the handle. This tester is being offered AS IS. FOR PARTS OR RESTORATION.

Hickok Model 539A Tube Tester, calibrated, yes!
nice. Restored Hickok 539A the Caddilac of mutual conductance lab-grade tube testers. If you are looking at this, you know what it is and how nice it is! This one has been nicely cleaned up with most of the tube sockets replaced with brand new sockets(4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 7, 8, octal) and the others replaced with very good but used sockets. All resistors checked and replaced were needed, and caps replaced as well. Calibrated, this comes with a copy of the users manual, and has been rewired for safe operation with a modern 3-prong AC plug. Please feel free to ask questions.

ITEM(S) FOR AUCTION This auction is for a vintage 1950’s Hickok Model 532 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester in working condition. It needs a good surface cleaning and probably an interior cleaning as well. I have not opened up the face of it. The power light comes on and all the knobs are functioning as far as I can tell. As is the“rolling” graph or chart at the bottom. I don’t know how to use the equipment and there is no manual, so this unit is being sold“AS IS” with the power-up feature working as shown. I got the needle on the Dynamic Mutual Conductance gage to move by accidentally turning one of the knobs when it was powered up. The manuals shown were found inside the unit and consist of a GE Electronic’s Essential Characteristics 302 page manual and a Hickok Adapter chart. There is also a Hickok CRT adapter and a Vibrator Test ... moreAdapter as shown in the photo. There is also some sort of socket on a wire coming out of the top of the control box and two orange sockets of some sort as shown in the photo. Here for your consideration is a Hickok Model 539A True Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. This is one of the best Tube Testers ever made. This one was well used and was probably the service call tube tester as the cabinet has quite a few scrapes and nicks that are now covered by Black Duct Tape. But the cabinet did a nice job of protecting the tube tester. This large 19” x 17” x 8” tester has 9 sockets and covers 4 pin, 5 pin, 6 pin, 7 pin, acorn, octal, loctal, 7 pin miniature, and 9 pin miniature. This is for a Hickok model 6000A micromha tube tester. This tester looks to be in very good condition. I know nothing about these so ill describe the best I can. The only fault I see is a little wear on the red outside of the case. I did not plug the tester in because I would not know what happens anyway. I can not imagine it not working as clean as it is. I unscrewed the front metal faceplate(note that 2 wood screws are missing but could easily be replaced) and took a variety of photographs of the electronics inside the unit. HICKOK TRACEOMETER Model 156 Vintage Tube Radio Tester Equiment
In this auction is this interesting piece of tube radio testing equipment. It is a Hickok traceometer model 156. This was used to find problem points in tube radio circuits. It seems to function as a voltmeter and ammeter combination. It still has all the old test probes which are often missing. This piece does have some rust on the bottom so I did not plug it in to test it. I am selling it as is and most likely not functioning. This unit measures 16x11x13 inches high and is pretty heavy.

This is a very user friendly Tube Tester if you are in the market for one. This is a very nice Hickok model 600A. I have tested over 8 different tubes on the tester and it seems to work very well. The roll chart is tight and turns freely. The tube cap squeeze clamps are included which look original. two different sizes) The power cord is very good. Based on the overall condition of the casing and the face itself. I would say that this tester has seen very little use. The serial number plate is attached to the case. The handle, latches, and hinges are secure and work as they should. Latches have some surface rust on them. The case reflects less than normal wear for its age. Also included is an Operating Manual and a Supplimental Tube Chart. The line adjust and meter work well also. All of the knobs are tight and function as they should. Purchase includes an additional used paper tube sheet reel. Has a custom black hinged case with rear storage compartment. Front handle, and 2-latches on front; has metal protective pieces on all corners. Approximate measurements of the case: 18-1/2" x 17" x 7-1/4" some dings, but for the age, pretty good condition. Here for considering is a vintage Hickok Model 752 Tube Tester. This tester comes with its original manual. And the accessories that were left in the rear storage compartment of the case. I am offering this as-is, because I am not sure if it is fully functional. It does power up, and I did a line test, and it does work as well(photo 3) All the knobs and buttons do function properly. The roll chart is present, and there are no issues with it. It does scroll up and down, with no problems. The tubes that are with the other accessories are untested, so I am not sure if they are good or not. But they came with this, and will stay with it, if sold. Overall, this is in cosmetically good shape. The metal protective corner pieces, latches, etc. do have surface rust. Latches and handle are intact, and do function properly. This is a Hickok model 539A vacuum tube tester. It is in good working condition. I I tested several tubes and compared the results of the tests with my recently calibrated TV-7. The meter readout is different than the TV-7 but the resulting values/tube strengths were comparable with the TV-7. The case on the 539A has the usual scuffs and dings& the roller has some play in it when changing direction of the roller but for a tester of this vintage but overall it is in very good working condition. Up for auction. The Hickok Cardmatic Model 123 Tube Tester. This 123 comes with cards for all the popular tubes, a technical manual, the owner’s manual and a set of schematics. This Model 123 was just serviced for this auction. I took the 123 to my local repair shop and the following work was done. The main filter was replaced, the sockets were replaced, all controls and connectors cleaned and the 123 was calibrated. The 123 is in good cosmetic condition with the normal signs of age. The repair shop tested the 123 after all repairs were complete and the 123 and all of its functions were working as they should. Due to the age of the tester, this unit is being sold AS IS.

This auction is for a Vintage Hickok Tube Tester T-53. With no reserve. The tester shows some wear and can be seen in the twelve(12) pictures below. The tester is sold as is and I do not know if it works properly or not. When it is plugged in and it is turned on, the light of the meter goes on. When the Line Adjustment knob is moved the light for the meter goes dimmer and brighter. When the line test button is pushed, the meter goes to a little over 1500. When the roller is turned the chart moves from Stop to Stop. I see no light for the chart. The coating for the red wire has some breaks in the coating. This was one of the last Tube Testers Hickok sold, and unofficially it was sold into the 1970s. The interior panel is excellent, showing very little sign of use. This large 19” x 17” x 8” tester has 14 sockets and covers 4 pin, 5 pin, 6 pin, 7 pin, octal, loctal, 7 pin miniature, 9 pin miniature, 10 pin, 12 pin, and 4 smaller sockets for nuvistors and subminiature tubes. Hickok model 546 tube tester checker
Very nice Hickok 546 tube tester. This has been gone through recently and works very well. The metal case could use some cleaning or re-painting but is also in nice condition with no rust. The handle is good and sturdy. I have tested several tubes(an 80. 2A3, and a 6SF7) against my 800 and they test almost identical. The roll chart is in very good condition. I will try to get the postage down a bit by cutting down the box a bit. I don't charge for packaging.

I assume the tester will need cleaning, calibration and possibly replacement of old capacitors. The tester comes with a card punch and a calibration cell. The tester is missing the main socket deck. It was pointed out to me that although the top case is marked"118A" This tester is actually a 118B, since it has the two added"Q Base" adjustment potentiometers on the right side of the power supply. Bought two vintage tube testers from the son of the original owner. Said he kept these around enough years. Selling these and a couple vintage floor radios that has been in his family since he was small. This is a Hickok Model 6000 per the label. It says Micromho. Dynamic Mutual Conductance TUBE TESTER. Serial# on front of the case is 23414504. I see other auctions for a model 6000A but this is definitely a Model 6000 which was I believe an earlier model. Copied some info about the difference. Models 6000 and 6000A. These were the successors to the 600 series. The 6000 has sockets up to 9-pin mini. The 6000A does not have 4.5,7 pin older sockets, but it does have the 9 and 12 pin compactrons. These are nice compact testers and data is widely available. The fellow I bought it from said he is sure it works and that his father ran a radio repair ... moreshop someplace. I do not know how to test this. I plugged it in. When I turn the power knob from off to 125( which I assume is line voltage adjustment) the needle moves smoothly to the center area on the needle gauge and continues higher if I turn the knob a bit higher. There was an old small GM Delco Electron tube in the box( will be included) and when I installed it and pushed the test button the needle swung towards"bad" for what that is worth. I would not conclude much from this since I am sure the other 12 knobs and dials would have some impact on a tube test? I guess you get the idea that I know really nothing more about this tester beyond what I stated. The case is worn and tattered as the pictures show although the hinges, snaps, handle and S/N tag are intact. One could either re-cloth it or build a nice oak case I guess using this original hardware if so inclined. The cord has been folded inside the case for many years and is quite brittle. As soon as it is straightened I would guess it might fall to pieces and should be replaced.
