And it works a LOT better than the vertical. These are various parts that got separated from their original assemblies. They are mostly mounting screws and bolts from various parts of the V-50. I divided all these type of extra pieces into two nearly identical lots per a request. This is the#1 lot. I let a less than careful assistant"help" me disassemble the press. And this is the result. I will only consider'best offers' on this item if you want to buy both lots, or other items at the same time. Both lots will fit in a small flat rate box, so there would be no additional domestic shipping cost if you buy both lots of(mainly) screws and bolts. If you buy both lots, or other items at the same time, request an invoice BEFORE paying. The press was completely refurbished around 1980 and was used pretty much continuously for the next 15 years. When I got the KSBA. The vertical was then used only sporadically until about 2003. After 2003, it was used virtually never, maybe 2- 5 jobs a year. Insurance will be included for items less than $20.00 only if you demand and pay $2.00 for it. Shipping weight will be about 6 pounds. For international buyers. It appears that it would be least expensive to put the one set into two small flat rate boxes(each with a 4 pound weight limit) but I can't get the ebay shipping wizard to agree to two small boxes, so I put a large flat rate box for shipping. Part#22680 and the Control Valve Rod Assembly, parts#22476, 22475, 22477, TP-108, TP-100. This is the long steel shaft that most of the parts in the first VA parts page are mounted on, and the long control rod assembly that goes inside the bushing. They are in very good condition, with some superficial scratches and rust on exposed areas, but the very good condition is the product of lots of oiling. If you are looking for a very nice thick steel pipe to carry around in your car or truck for self defense(and you can claim to law enforcement that you are just transporting a press part) this is the one, but you need some upper body strength to wield it with dexterity. Remember, even John Henry had a 12 pound hammer, and this is a little heavier. The parts that go on the right end are also for sale on a different post. They are the Separator Frame Cam and Shaft Collar. The press was completely refurbished around 1980 and was used pretty much continuously for the next 15 years, when I got the KSBA. The largest one was used for report covers, the ... moremiddle one for letterheads, and the smallest one for envelopes. The heavy black arrow is slightly below type high on all three, as it was heavily made ready to maintain the solid, and has pressed down into the wood over the years of use. However, you can see that they are all in good condition, being sharp and clean, but will need considerable make ready to print as well as this proof. These were used by a market research firm. The idea was that information was collected(the open arrows) and collated and interpreted for the client(the solid black arrow) The large one is the configuration used by the company, but you can turn them to whatever direction you want, hence the two small ones pointing in different directions. These are 3 letterpress printing cuts(plates. Dies) mounted about type high on hardwood used in my grandfather's print shop years ago. They are line cuts, no halftones, and so are suitable for printing on all types of paper, from high gloss to chipboard. They are used and have no significant damage. The image shown is a proof print made with the cuts. If you don't want these for printing. They would make interesting mounted artworks, paper weights, or craft items. I usually ship USPS. As one of them was misnumbered by the factory, and one doesn't appear to be in the parts book. These parts all came off of the impression cylinder when I removed it. These parts are from the left side of the cylinder. The part#22051(not listed in book) can be seen on page 10 of the parts book, but no attribution is there. I would call it a left cylinder mounting bracket as it is the one that the two large mounting bolts go through to hold the left side of the cylinder in place. The part misnumbered by hand at the factory as#23853" as shown in the photo) is listed in the parts book as#23859, Ratchet Pawl Lock Collar. The three springs are#22265, Thrust Collar Springs. The other collar I can't easily find in the parts book, but it goes with these other parts. When the cylinder is removed, these parts just slide off the side. All parts here are in good to very good condition. The press was completely refurbished around 1980 and was used pretty much continuously for the next 15 years. When I got the KSBA. The vertical was then used only sporadically until about 2003. After 2003, it was used virtually never, maybe 2- 5 jobs a year. There is some grease. Oil, and dried ink on the associated assemblies, but I cleaned them enough for you to see what good condition they are in. I lubricate my equipment very well because I am penurious. The rack is in great shape except for a few dents on the corners of some teeth I caused when removing it. Otherwise, the teeth look and feel new. Chalk up one for compulsive oiling. Keep in mind that the impression cylinder AND the cylinder frame have to be removed from the front to install this part. A few smaller assemblies also have to be removed to get to the 4 huge cylinder bolts. Which require a 15/16" hex key. The cylinder weighs a LOT less than I thought it would. I estimate it at only about 100 pounds, which can be handled by one strong guy(me) or two normal strength guys. The rack cannot be removed from the back, but ALL the installation screws and bolts that hold it in are only accessible from the back. The press was completely refurbished around 1980 and was used pretty much continuously for the next 15 years, when I got the KSBA. The vertical was then used only sporadically until about 2003. RARE ANTIQUE ADAMS COTTAGE PRINTING PRESS
The Adams Cottage Press is in very good condition as shown by the photographs. Very few seem to be in existence today. Historians believe it was this type of press that was transported during the Civil War to use in the field for printing. It was lightweight and easy to use for its time. The date of the press is clearly noted on the photo- Patented March 19. 1861. The history of this exact press is not known. A press similar to this one is believed to have been used at Appomattox Courthouse during the surrender of Lee's Army to the Union to print parole forms for the Southern Troops. Size of the press is approximately 25" long, 14" wide, and 5" deep and weighs approximately 85 pounds with the wood base attached. Also shown is information about the press from the 1860's.

This is a printing press built between 1873 and 1909. It is in good shape for it's age. It has the split ink disk which operates the way it is supposed to. There is a very old welded repair on the frame that doesn't seem to affect the operation. There is a set of three new composition rollers and two chases. Please email me any questions. 8x5 Kelsey Excelsior model U and supplies A late model of the Kelsey Co. letterpress Found in good condition. Disassembled, cleaned, painted, tested. everything moves and adjusts easily. No brakes or welds I would recommend bolting to a board or table for long runs. other then some ink staining- disk and other flat surfaces are in great shape. Paint color is called dark metal metallic with some parts painted black. Comes with a lot of stuff; see photos. New rubber rollers with locked trucks. New Box car base. One chase. Has a counter mounted to press. A lot of different press packing. Long and sort fingers[grippers] normally removed for box car base and use foam gauge pins some included. new gripper spring. Short fingers are new also. There is a set of mixing ink. 10 colors and white if I remember. I prefer not to open to look it is double ... morerapped for ground shipment only, may have to be removed for air shipment. In any case there is no guarantee on ink making it ok only press. It is well packaged and ready to go. There will be some shipping insurance on it normally it only pays if they loose it not damage. I do ship presses all over the world and have not lost or broke one so far. Fed-ex and UPS are easy to deal with. Shipping is for cost final weight and insurance is done in person dropping it off. This listing is for a 10 x 15 Chandler& Price Letterpress(C&P) with a manufacture date of 1911. It is a great press( piece of history) but we can’t keep it as we just don’t have the space. More pictures can be seen here… This press comes complete with 2 Chases and brand new Rollers& Trucks that were used once just to pull a test print. It has a working Kimble motor that can be wired for either 110v or 220v. The press currently sits on a pallet ready for loading at ground level. I don't remember what they came off. Probably a Kelsey of some sort but not sure? Possible a 3x5 Kelsey? Check the measurements on your press and buy them for what you think you can use them for. Rubber is shot and needs to be recast so the value here is in the trucks and core rods. The third scan shows them next to a ruler for measurement. They are 8 1/2" long. I have a PAIR of Chandler and Price Letterpresses OVER 100 years old EACH! These were both working presses just about 3 years ago and we saved them from being sold for scrap. It has been previously used was tested and works well. It is one of its older models. It is a hand operated platen letterpress. It has two rollers that only lack the spun rubber that goes on them that allows you to print on the machine. Cosmetically the machine is in good working condition for its age. We cleaned it up as best we could on its metal/steel parts. Heavy duty and well built. Finding out more information on the machine simply requires utilizing the internet. Weighs almost 70 pounds before packing. The rubber rollers that need to be recovered for the press can be found online as well. This is a Baltimore No 7 card size hand inked letterpress. It has about 75% of the original black japanning and gold pin striping and embellishments. The inside of the chase is about 2-1/8 x 3-3/8 x 3/4 inches and is removable. The top inking table is 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 inches. The letterpress is 9-1/4 x 4-3/4 x 3-1/2 overall. The base is 9-1/4 x 7/8 and has a small hole for and aft for screw attachment to a desk top or larger wooden base.
