This Ellison stencil cutter is in excellent working condition but does show normal wear. The lettering on the name plate under the handle is worn and it appears that a piece of rubber for the handle rest is missing. It comes with 30 blocks; 26 two-inch letters of the English alphabet. One four inch capital S, four-inch circle, a three and seven eigths by five-inch rectangle having a three by two-inch oval cut out in the center for masking photos for a 4 x 5 inch picture frame, and lastly a two-inch question mark. The blocks are constructerd of wood and foam in which the steel cutters are imbedded. The blocks are all in excellent condition but do show signs of usage. Marsh Stencil Cutter Model R - 1 inch Hand Operated Letter Number Die-Cut
This auction is for a Marsh Model R- 1 inch stencil cutter only. There are no instructions nor oil board. This stencil cutter was retired from a local school. It has been in storage for a long time. Everything moves freely. But is missing a part underneath that locks a lever in place to slide the oil board in place. Also, when the board is in place(inserting manually holding the lever down) after pushing the lever down to cut a letter/number. the board does not advance after the handle retracts. I'm not sure why this occurs. This hand powered machine will require service. It's currently not in proper working condition. Also, I will not ship this item since I cannot pick it up.
