Vintage Kelsey & Company Letterpress Chase
You are bidding on a vintage Kelsey& Company letterpress chase. It measures 11 1/2 in. by 7 3/4 in. out side and 10 1/4 by 6 1/4 inside. A 1 inch notch is on the top to latch it on the press with 4 adjusting screws on the bottom and two on one side. There is an aluminium runner on one side that is removeable that i do not know how it stays on when put into the press. All used and in great shape.

Kelsey & Company Mercury Model 6 X 10 Excelsior Printing Press
This auction is for an as found 6x10 Kelsey and Company Mercury Model Excelsior Printing Press. It was used in a Vermont church for printing their printing needs. It is un- tested and I do not have any knowledge with this type of equipment. The lever operates and it seems to draw the plate and rollers up to the ink plate but on return the roller carriage sticks at the top. It looks like it It does need to have the rollers replaced.It comes with everything that they had. as shown in the pictures. There are actually additional type set that are not pictured. Antique Kelsey & Company Model 3 X 5 Excelsior Printing Letter Press
First off. I don't know much of anything about printing presses, but I will describe as best as possible. The is an antique Excelsior Letter Press that prints a 3" by 5" card. It is marked on the handle as well as the base. Size is about 8&1/2" by 19, and it weighs about 32 pounds. The plate with the letters in it has a patent date on the bottom- hard to read, but I think it is 1893. Condition is as found and as shown. While I don't know if it's missing anything else, it is missing the flat round plate. The print rollers look quite dry and I would guess that they need to be replaced. Other than that, it looks good to me. Please look at all of my photos for best idea of quality and condition. That's all I can tell you about this. Very nice looking old printing press for 6X10 pieces. I weighed it on my scales and they weighed over 68 pounds It is for pick up only. I do not know if it works or not. I don't even know if it is all there. It looks to be. But I am not sure. Please check out the pictures and ask any questions that you may have and I will try and answer them for you. Mercury Model 5x8 Excelsior Kelsey & Company Platen Press
Used. In good mechanical condition. No breaks, no welds. Ink table spins freely. Both roller cores need new rubber. I found it in our warehouse yesterday and got the two owners to agree to sell it. I oiled it and took the rollers off, because the rubber was dried up, so I could try it out. It operated smoothly. This morning, I heard one of the owners of our shop say that he believed that it was one of the best ones that you were going to find, whatever that meant. It looks like it hasn't been used much to me. We can't find anything missing except the rubber on the roller cores. The cores and trucks are included. It weighs about 57 lbs.
