Vintage Kelsey & Company Letterpress Chase
You are bidding on a vintage Kelsey& Company letterpress chase. It measures 11 1/2 in. by 7 3/4 in. out side and 10 1/4 by 6 1/4 inside. A 1 inch notch is on the top to latch it on the press with 4 adjusting screws on the bottom and two on one side. There is an aluminium runner on one side that is removeable that i do not know how it stays on when put into the press. All used and in great shape.

Here is a vintage Kelsey& Co Excelsior Mercury tabletop letterpress. Model N, size 3x5. Made in Meriden, Conn, USA. It works freely, oiled, maintained well. Has the rollers. The rollers were restored at some point and works great. The ink pan turns every time the handle is pulled. It measures 19" long, 15" high and 10" wide. It's ready to go and start printing, works good. Comes with some ink, the ink roller and some type and type holder. The ink is used. This was used for making retail tags. Rare Vintage KELSEY EXCELSIOR MODEL N 5 x 8 TABLE TOP PRINTING PRESS Up for auction is the rare vintage antique KELSEY EXCELSIOR MODEL N 5 x 8 TABLE TOP PRINTING PRESS. It has been previously used was tested and works well. It is one of its older models. It is a hand operated platen letterpress. It has two rollers that only lack the spun rubber that goes on them that allows you to print on the machine. Cosmetically the machine is in good working condition for its age. We cleaned it up as best we could on its metal/steel parts. Heavy duty and well built. Finding out more information on the machine simply requires utilizing the internet. Weighs almost 70 pounds before packing. The rubber rollers that need to be recovered for the press can be found online as well. Great looking vintage antique Kelsey 3" x 5" tabletop printing press for cards, postcards, letters. The piece dates to the latter part of the 1800s and has the appropriate look and patina. This is the smallest tabletop press that Kelsey made. It is missing a few parts, including some springs and a round ink plate. There may also be other parts not with the machine; I just don't know what is supposed to be with it. I will let those of you who know these pieces to assess its state and condition from the many photos. The overall mechanism of pushing down on the lever and things moving smoothly in synch seems to be working well. I know these are sought after by many and are getting harder ... moreto find.
