Let me know if you have any specific part you want me to list, and I'll endeavor to list it ASAP. These are Brass Balancing Shims to balance the cylinder. Usually. You will never need these, but if you have a bad jam, the cylinder impression may become uneven. You can fix this fairly easily by loosening the two large mounting bolts on the side you wish to adjust and sliding the shims down and re-tightening the bolts. That is why the shims are in a"C" shape: they slide down each side of the mounting bolt. There are 5 thick(about 1 point) and 7 thin(about 1/2 point, comparable to 12# paper) ones. They are used, stained, and some are a little bent, but all are usable and in good condition. I am pricing them a little high so one person will think twice about just buying them all up, leaving them available for more people. TELL ME WHICH SHIMS YOU WANT. If you do not specify. I will send you matched pairs of thick and thin until I run out. Remember, I have 5 thick and 7 thin ones. If you are correcting impression from a bad jam. You will probably only need one thick and two thin shims at the maximum, and possibly just one or two thin ones. If you have had a catastrophic jam on one side of the press, you may need 2- 4 thick AND 2- 4 thin ones to readjust it. To check your impression, the easiest way is to remove packing from under your best die cutting jacket so the sheet is barely, or not at all, perforating using brand new perforating rule. The rack is in great shape except for a few dents on the corners of some teeth I caused when removing it. Otherwise, the teeth look and feel new. Chalk up one for compulsive oiling. Keep in mind that the impression cylinder AND the cylinder frame have to be removed from the front to install this part. A few smaller assemblies also have to be removed to get to the 4 huge cylinder bolts. Which require a 15/16" hex key. The cylinder weighs a LOT less than I thought it would. I estimate it at only about 100 pounds, which can be handled by one strong guy(me) or two normal strength guys. The rack cannot be removed from the back, but ALL the installation screws and bolts that hold it in are only accessible from the back. The press was completely refurbished around 1980 and was used pretty much continuously for the next 15 years, when I got the KSBA. The vertical was then used only sporadically until about 2003. After 2003, it was used virtually never, maybe 2- 5 jobs a year. Most scratches and rust are only on the surface. I will tell you if there is any significant issue with a part. Up for auction is a vintage Marsh Model H stencil cutting machine. It has been repainted and is made out of cast iron. Condition: It is in working condition. All letters and numbers are moving free. It has some surface rust and the letter H doesn't cut all the way through. It might need some adjusting. Check out my other items. You never know what I'll find. This is a GG-S-747 1 inch letters. older stencil machine but works good besides letter d and p didn't punch all the way through. Handle is broke part way up but I put a piece of pipe over it and it works fine that way tried to find a new handle to replace it but no luck. It has been cleaned greased and oiled and repainted check pic for better description thanks.

Marsh *Electric* Stencil Machine Model E 1/4" Works Great
Marsh Electric Stencil Machine. Model E. The stamped in value next to it is the serial, so don't pay attention to those thinking they have a"model Q" or any such thing. Cuts 1/4" letters, great for instructions, labeling small devices, etc. A big wheel selects the individual stencil, and then instead of a lever, you hit a switch and a powerful hydraulic ram, powered by a large gearmotor, stamps it. No tentative cuts or any issues there. I believe this model is discontinued, but Marsh exists and still sells manual machines for $1,600 new. I think you can still get parts, if somehow you manage to wear it out or break it. Many places still carry stencil inks, rollers, oilboard and other materials. Machine works great, and some samples are shown. The space is not great, but this is a design flaw, not a broken part. We have ... morescribed vertical lines in paint pen across the card platen as individual character spaces, to increase the speed of operation when adding spaces or centering, instead of pushing the funky spacebar for hours. Do understand it is used. The machine is a bit dirty as it's used in a print shop and things get inked. Due to the weight it has some scratches when it has been moved and bumped into stuff, or where other nearby stuff has bumped into it. It's very, very heavy duty, so none of this matters generally. There's a weirdly thin sheet steel cover over the front. A few dents there, but it works and the electric components underneath are in good shape. The machine was regularly used, cleaned and inspected for good and safe operation. Do not use WD40 to lube it. That varnish thing is true, so use plain old machine oil, and don't overdo it. Ideal Stencil Machine No. 1 Military Industrial 1" WW2 Works! Vintage Antique
Here I have an awesome. WW2 era(I believe) Ideal Stencil Machine Number 1. It makes 1" stencils out of oilboard/cardstock. The machine is complete and does make stencils. It punches strong and prints evenly. The gears that turn the wheel are very brittle. see last photo) They also slip sometimes while turning the wheel(I'm guessing they just need to be tightened) As brittle as they are I do not know how long they will last. But for now they work. And they look like easy gears to get replicated. Other than that. The machine is in incredible shape for how old it is! Could use a little cleaning and oiling, but overall a nice solid machine. I have taken the machine apart into 3 pieces. I will ship in 2 separate packages to avoid damage during shipping.
