I have not attempted ANY sort of repair. I have not opened the camera or tried to manually fix the shutter. Again. Everything works but the shutter has been sticking.

Full-frame digital, and cropped-sensor digital SLR cameras- basically every Nikon camera body ever made with an internal autofocus motor. It does not autofocus on some of the newer, low-end bodies that require the autofocus motors to be in the lenses themselves; for example, the D3100. This lens has incredible versatility from short telephoto to long-range telephoto. I have used it very successfully in wildlife and sports photography across the USA and Africa on Nikon N80(film) and Nikon D100, Nikon D80, and Nikon D300(digital) bodies. It is an older camera. But still takes good photos. The reason I am parting with it is because I finally upgraded to a D7000 and no longer need this camera. Camera comes with: battery. Neck-strap. D70 manual, a nikon carrying bag, Nikon lens cleaning cloth. 2GB Lexar Platinum II 80X CompactFlash, Nikon battery charger, Nikon neck strap, Nikon Picture Project Software, a cleaning brush. The problems I have encountered with it it does not like certain CF cards(usually no name or knock off brands) it will give an CHA error. But if you stick high quality cf cards like the one included it is fine. The other issue is the power on/off button it works but it is not smooth. It can be a bit stiff. The USB port cover is missing but usb port works great.See pics. On the view screen there are light superficial scratches from use There are fine lines in the view finder. The camera needs to probably have the sensor cleaned, it had been professionally cleaned a few years ago. I have taken pictures with it and only see the dust in lighter photos. If you know how to clean the sensor this a bonus if not your local camera shop can clean it for like $50. The camera also does not do well in low light unless on tripod, it's not like todays newer Digital cameras. Also I found this camera does work in autofocus mode but I found it faster, much more accurate in manual focus mode. Even though the camera is functional I am selling it as is it.
