Because many original parts were missing a man converted it to a propane vertical side shaft engine and it runs well. Could be converted back to original if parts were found or made. You are viewing a vintage Maytag. Hit/miss gas engine. It is possibly a 92D single cylinder engine, based on the serial number of 64323. The 72D chart does not have SN numbers that are similar to this as the 92d chart does. It was possibly manufactured between June and July of 1935. Alamo Large 6-7 hp hit&miss Engine
Greetings up for auction is a large Alamo 6-7 HP hit and miss engine.Unfortunately there is no tag, has approx. 6" bore 31" flywheels, rebuilt fuel pump, newer stainless steel fuel tank. ignition system is spark plug fired that has been copied from original it works quite nicely this setup can be seen in one of the Alamo manuals offered by hit and miss enterprises, has a timing advance/detent lever for easy starting,carburetor and choke system all original, has a nice large Oil Rite drip oiler, crank guard has been home built and made of steel but looks good, there is an older repair to the head looks to be a nice job, can probably be dressed down by a good grinder man and painted to look nice, the rocker arm has been welded, I know of no other repairs to the engine, now I'm not weak by any means but I cannot roll the engine ... moreover without using the compression release I would rate the compression as excellent,it DOES NOT blow oil pass the piston AT ALL, the flywheels run true with very little or no wobble,it comes with its own dedicated coil so all you do is hook your battery up and go, there is an extra set of governor springs that come with it can be seen in one of the pictures, the belt pulley measures about 10" dia 7" face, I have taken this engine to one show and left it on the trailer and it drew quite a crowd when the engine would fire the whole trailer would bounce and shake and squeak up down pretty entertaining!I have not had this engine very long I'm moving and am forced to thin the herd other wise I would keep it, anyone wanting to come by and see it run is more than welcome, I would prefer local pickup but if need be I can bolt it on a large pallet shrink wrap it For a $50.00 charge and take it to Fastenal, buyer to pay for all shipping expenses ships to the lower 48 states only please, this engine is sold as is due to old age, watch for other engines I have for sale soon Thanks

Duro Stationary Engine
For sale I have a Duro Pump engine which runs well for its age. This engine is a later duro throttle govern type which has no mixture adjustment on the carburetor. It is regulated with the choke lever. This engine has a larger fuel tank and has a dipstick where as the eariler duros did not. I put new rings in it yesterday but I think I might of put too much oil in it because in the video it smokes slightly. You can see the engine running here. I had the engine on a skid for display purposes so the skid is not included. The buzz coil comes with the engine which will be shipped in a wooden box so it will not get damaged during shipping.

Here is a model AEH 6 hp Wisconsin engine that I had the good fortune to find at a farm estate auction. The low serial numbers on this rare collectible gasoline engine dates it to 1946 and the gas tank on this vintage motor has the remains of a Gibson Lawn Tractor decal. As near as I can tell the carburetor and part of the muffler are the only missing parts on this seldom seen engine that is not stuck and turns over fine. Recent high scrap iron prices have sadly put an end to many of these heavy duty old engines and parts alone are increasingly harder to find. Old Original Dayton Iron Oil Field Hit Miss Gas Engine Yellow Dog Shop Torch WOW
This is a real nice original cast iron"yellow dog" or lamp that was commonly used in the oil fields as a source of light. It was made by the Dayton Malleable Iron Company in Dayton. Ohio and is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. The cover screws off nicely. It could use a new wick as the original is deteriorated quite a bit but these should be available from several sources rather inexpensively. This lamp measures about 4 inches in diameter and about 7 3/4 inches tall. It would be a fine addition to your early engine or oil field display. It will likely be quite some time before another one turns up and it probably won't be this nice. The pictures tell the story. You won't be disappointed in any way. Good Luck.

Offered is a lot of great reference detail material for the vintage 4 Cycle Briggs and Stratton Gasoline Engine. Model 6B-H. Please review my photos, as the Operating Instructions diagrams on some of the pages of the 23 page booklet are detailed. There are additional parts lists and other diagrams within the booklet not photographed. Included in this lot is the original(not a copy) Operating Instructions Manual of 23 pages and 6 by 9 inches. Original Envelope for storage. A blank Registration Card. And. One page Form No. 1296 on one side, noted Form 1186 on the other, and labeled Parts List for a Rotary Mower, which I am not certain if originally came with the 6B-H manual, or not, but maybe helpful. All papers are clean and without moisture odors etc. Only issue I see is the back of the envelope has a few phone number notes written on it ... morein pencil. CONTINENTAL MOTORS* AMERICAS STANDARD" As powerful as the Nation.do you remember when Continental advertised their little engines with this Slogan. What I have here is probably a 1950 Continental AC6 engine. It has been refurnished by the previous owner. But it seems he substituted a couple parts with other. Period correct, but not specific Continental parts. First thing you notice is probably the flywheel shroud which looks more like the one from the Johnson Iron Horse engines. The Air filter is a Clinton piece. Although nice with all the correct decals on it. It still is not the correct one for this engine. The tank. I am not sure, but the brackets he made look nice and the overall appearance is quite nice. The tank is dry, clean and dent free. I believe all necessary gaskets have been replaced, everything was media blasted, primed ... moreand painted. Overall a great little engine to add to any small engine collection, or use it to finish a vintage project such as a lawn mower, little gokart, a washing machine.This is a rope start engine(rope not included) I will take the tank and air filter off for shipping purpose. This is a vitage Kohler 4hp K91-T engine. I had this to a Wheel Horse/Toro shop a year ago they went over the carb and got running good. I had this as a spare for my 1958 RJ Wheel Horse but my engine is fine and decided maybe someone needs it more than I do. Unsure what this was originally off of. Spec# 31107A Serial# 412162. ANTIQUE STATIONARY ONE LUNGER ENGINE VISIBLE ROCKERS RUNS
This is a one lunger visible rocker or valve stationary engine. I don't know who made it but it is in very good condition and it runs. The engine has great compression and it takes a very hard pull to get it started. It has a flat belt drive or a drive for a V belt. I have no idea who made it but i'm sure someone out there does. This is a heavy motor that weighs about 60 lbs. I will ship anyway you like but would prefer Greyhound bus. I will only charge for ACTUAL shipping costs. Old Cretors Popcorn Wagon Steam Engine Hit Miss Gas Tractor Magneto Oiler NICE!
This is an old Cretors popcorn wagon steam engine that was offered by Paul Breisch several years ago. It measures about 23 1/2 inches long and has a 8 1/2 inch flywheel. It turns over nicely and I hooked it up to air and it runs just as it should. It has lots of brass parts that would look great all polished up. I don't know who did the machine work on it but it was done pretty nicely. It does need some"period" looking fasteners but this would be pretty simple. These engines don't turn up very often in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one don't miss your chance on this one. The pictures tell the story. You'll like it. This auction is for a Briggs& Stratton model N. This engine is a good project for somebody. It does have compression and will bounce back a little when spun over by hand to the compression stroke. I can also feel the coil dragging a little bit on the flywheel. One of the mounting holes on the engine base is broke off although the base's for these are not hard to find. Genuine Lister VA 8-1 Start o Matic Stationary Diesel Engine and Generator set
A very rare and complete all original 8hp Lister VA power generation set. This unit is essentially a CS model with a different cylinder and head. It's primary difference is that it is air cooled instead of needing a water tank. The generator develops 220v 50hz single phase AC and DC power for your workshop or battery bank. I have stripped this unit. Cleaned it up, and repaired any faults. This set runs great and works perfectly. It is very heavy at just under 1500lbs. I have it already on a crated pallet and ready to collect or ship from its current location in Salt Lake. Buyer to pay shipping. Freightquote seems to offer the best rates. Rare 1/2 Scale Fairbanks Morse 1A Eclipse Hit Miss Steam Gas Engine Model Oiler
Wow! What a great find. Just picked this up at a local flea market in a box and in pieces. A 1/2 scale Fairbanks Morse 1A Model Engine. It appears to have some work done but needs to be completed! It has a piston and rod and seems to have good compression. The valves are nicely done and cam is good. The flywheels are round and true. They measure 7" diameter. Total engine height is 12" There are no cracks or breaks to be found. The pictures tell the story. I have done some research on these and couldn't find a lot of information. These were made about 25 to 30 or so years ago and not many were casted. This would be a great project for a collector. I will ship to anywhere worldwide. If shipped outside the United States. The engine will be dis-assembled to fit in a flat rate box and will be packaged well.
