Offered at auction is a drip oiler manufactured by Gits Brothers of Chicago IL. The oiler is 2" in diameter X 5" tall and it has a 1/8"NPT lube line connection. The oiler is complete with both the reservoir and sight glasses intact. The on-off control and the feed rate control are in place and appear to be completely functional. THIS IS AN ESSEX DRIP OILER THAT I REMOVED FROM AN OLD CINCINNATI MILLING MACNINE MANY YEARS AGO. THAT MACHINE ALSO HAD THE BRASS PLAQUE FROM THE WWII WAR PRODUCTION BOARD. THAT MEANT IT WAS A MACHINE USED FOR WAR PRODUCTION AND ONLY HAD THE SPEEDS OR ACCESSORIES NEEDED TO DO ONE JOB. THIS OILER IS 1 1/4 INCH IN DIAMETER AND OVERALL OF 4 INCHES. THE FLIP ON AND OFF MECHANISM WORKS WELL AS DOES THE THREADED CAP AND THE PLATE THAT SLIDES OVER THE REFILL HOLE. IT'S A 1/8 INCH PIPE THREAD ON THE BOTTOM.
