Old Original 1 1/2hp Hercules Hit Miss Gas Engine Crank Guard Steam Tractor NICE
This is a rather hard to find original cast iron crank guard. Fender, or shield for a 1 1/2hp Hercules hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts to the crankcase of the engine with two bolts 5 inches on center. It has been primed at some time in the past but this could be undone very easily or leave it as it is. It looks like there's a lot of original paint underneath. These original crank guards are pretty tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets as they are usually attached to an engine! This would be a great piece to finish your restoration or just to have on the shelf as a spare. It could be a while until another one turns up so don't miss it. The pictures tell the story. Hercules Economy Hit n Miss Engine JK 1 1/2hp Fuel Filler Spout
This is a Fuel Filler Spout for a Hercules or Economy"JK" Hit n Miss 1 1/2hp Engine. It is cast iron and in very good condition with no damage breaks or repairs. The picts do show a mud dauber nest in one mounting hole. I haven't cleaned or prepared this in anyway. The metal cap on the spout flips easily and has no damage. This is a very unusual original sales brochure for Hercules gas engines. It is a foldable pocket brochure that has been unfolded and laminated sometime in the past to protect it from wear. It measures about 7 x 10 1/4 inches and shows the 1 3/4 Style E. F, and G, connected to different kinds of pumps. It also shows the portable tilting table saw outfit as well as the drag saw. The back of it shows the complete list of nationwide repair parts service stations and it also has a list of"dealers who have large stocks of repairs" I have seen lots of interesting and rare original sales literature but have never seen this particular piece. It is in good condition for its age with the exception of the missing piece in the lower right corner which doesn't affect much more than the eye appeal of the piece. Old Hercules Economy Hit Miss Gas Engine Exhaust Rocker Arm Steam Tractor NICE!
This is an original cast iron exhaust rocker arm or lever for a Hercules or Economy hit and miss or throttling governor gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 2 5/8 inches tall and about 4 3/4 inches from the center of the push rod to the center of the exhaust valve. I believe it is from a 5hp engine but measure your engine to be sure. These are often broken or repaired on engines so if you need a better one here's your chance. The pictures tell the story. Old Hercules Economy Hit Miss Gas Engine Cast Iron Flat Belt Pulley Steam Oiler
This is a real nice original cast iron flat belt pulley for a Hercules or Economy gas engine. It mounts to every other spoke of the flywheel on a 9 1/2 inch bolt pattern. It is 8 inches in diameter and has a 4 1/2 inch face. It is in perfect condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is ready to be used on an engine. I believe it fits on all the engines 2 1/2 to 12 hp but measure your engine to be sure. These original pulleys are very tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one here's your chance. It's always nice to have a pulley on your engine so you can run belt driven implements. The pictures tell the story. They just don't get much nicer. Good Luck.

Here is a trip finger bracket for a 2-1/2hp to 12hp Hercules or Economy engine. This bracket is to be used with a Webster mag setup. There is a little wear on the shaft that sticks out for the trip finger to slide on to. The wear shouldn't hurt anything. It would be easy to fix if needed. Many of these get broken from someone over tighting the set screws. This one is in great shape and has no cracks, breaks, or welds. Hit and Miss engine up for auction. I believe it is a Hercules Economy Engine with a possible 2- 3 hp. The fly wheels move freely and the piston goes back and forth smoothly. This engine needs restoration or possibly used for parts. It is missing the mag and bracket. It could be modified with a coil and battery from what I've been told. Hercules auxillary engine from a 1917 White truck with a Star drilling rig. This engine powered the Star drilling rig belt driven flywheel. This engine was removed from the Star drill frame due to the wood frame erroding badly. This engine is complete and in excellent condition for its age. This is a real nice original Webster M-31 magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in good condition but the oiler caps are missing and one oiler hole has a part chipped off. The threads on the bottom are in good condition. This magneto has many applications in the gas engine world. It has the original name band on it. It has almost no noticeable wear in the bearings or on the trip finger. These magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets. It would even make a great spare on the shelf. Up for bids is an antique hit and miss engine. Wizard, Hercules Electric Co. Auto Sparker Magneto. Guys, this is way to cool. This has been sitting in my basement now for over 20 years! I never new it had so much brass! It appears to be complete except for the oil fill hole caps as can be seen in the pictures. The Brass Name Tag! Brass bottom, brass body and even brass balls on the governor! This spins freely by hand. It appears to have a little bit of bearing wear. It even has the often missing friction drive governor and is loose. Buy as is with no returns, but buy with confidence! Old Hercules Economy Hit Miss Gas Engine Mixer Carburetor Steam Tractor Oiler
This is an original fuel mixer or carburetor for a Hercules or Economy hit and miss gas engine. It is in good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has 3/4 inch pipe threads and I believe it is for a 1 1/2 and possibly a 3hp engine but measure your engine to be sure. It is missing the fuel needle which can be obtained quite inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. The choke plate moves as it should. The pipe nipple in the mixer may need to be replaced as it looks to be bent but this would be pretty easy to do. These mixers don't turn up very often and this one just needs a little elbow grease to be perfect. The pictures tell the story. If you need one here it is. Good Luck.

This is a very hard to find original brass automatic greaser for the connecting rod bearing on a hit and miss gas engine. I'm pretty sure it was factory equipment on the Sparta Economy and early Evansville built Economy and Hercules engines. I've had a couple untouched original engines that both had these greasers on the connecting rod. This one measures about 1 3/16 inches in diameter at its widest and about 2 3/8 inches tall. It has 1/8 inch pipe threads that are in excellent conditon. It has a 00 stamped on a flat of the hex. It is in great condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has some blemishes on the knurling but this could be remedied if you so choose. This engine needs restoration as it is not running. It has points but they need some work. It also needs a coil and battery. Here are the measurements: Cart wheels- 17 1/2" by 3" wide. This is a model SP-HF-15 15KW 400Hz military diesel generator. With only 22hrs! Manufactured by Ho-lGar. Similar to the MEP-013, but had a single connector for a 20kW searchlight. The engine is a 4-cyl White Hercules D198ERX28 diesel. We obtained with a collection of equipment. It had been sitting for quite some time. We started on a full refurb. Primered some the covers, had the radiator cleaned, flushed the cooling system, new coolant and HD oil, replaced a few hoses, new thermostat gasket, replaced the fuel pump, found the starter motor brush assemblies are rusted(its a standard Delco 30-MT starter, parts are available) then ran out of time. It does crank. We have not started it. Ended up buying newer units for our 400Hz generator needs. Mfg in 1968. Documentation TM 5-6115-357-15. Priming Cup Hit Miss Gas Engine Hercules Fairbanks Morse IHC Stover Oil Field
This offering is for one nice little but big priming cup for some old one lunger or maybe a car. 1/4" threads and it stands over 2.5" tall plus the handle. This was in a larger engine of some type. Its a nice primer to look at. Its not worn out. Slight rounding to some of the hex edges but not horrible. It will polish up if you want but I left the patina in case someone wants it all natural. This is a Type AK Webster Magneto# 40961 It Fits Many Different Brackets. It Mounts with 4 bolts 2" X 2" Square pattern please check your Dimentions. Your Applications, This is The Diecast Body, The End Plates feel pretty tight for wear, Bolt holes look good on the bottom. These Are commonly seen On Waterloo Boy Gas Engines. Hercules, Economy, Stover, Sattley, IHC, Witte& Many Other Types of Gas Engines! Usually On The Engines That Are 2 1/2 Hp Or Bigger But It May Have Also Been Used on some of the 1 1/2 Hp Engines also? Old Hercules Economy Hit Miss Gas Engine Starting Crank Steam Tractor Magneto
This is an excellent original starting crank for a Hercules or Economy gas engine. It is part number 277A and is in perfect condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. The cast iron spinner on the shaft turns freely. It fits on a 1 3/4 inch crankshaft and would certainly work on any engine that it fits on but it came from the factory with a Hercules or Economy engine. These original cranks are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one here's your chance. The pictures tell the story.
