The mounting threads aren't perfect but they are pretty nice and hold a bolt very well. The trip finger has very little wear on it. There is VERY little wear in the bearings and it will last for many years yet. It has the original brass name band on it. These magnetos don't turn up that often and they usually require several hundred dollars worth of parts or repair. Old Brass Webster K Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Magneto Steam Tractor Oiler HOT!!
This is a very nice original brass bodied Webster K magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It oscillates very nicely with no noticeable wear in the bearings and has excellent magnetic pull as the magnets have just been recharged. It puts out a HOT, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. There is very little wear on the trip finger and I don't think that this magneto has seen very much use in it's life. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern. It has a brass body and brass bearing plates which is so much nicer than the pot metal bodied magnetos! It has the original oilers on the bearings and the original leadout cover. It has a new leadout wire on it. It is missing the original name band but these are ... moreavailable rather inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. These magnetos are tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and often require several hundred dollars worth of work so if you've been looking for one that needs nothing here it is. Old Webster JY IHC Famous Titan Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Steam Tractor HOT!!
This is a real nice original Webster JY magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for one small ear of the body being chipped off. The piece is there and it would be tough to notice with a little space age adhesive. I didn't notice it when I took the pictures. This is a BIG magneto that has many applications in the gas engine world, most notably the big International Harvester Famous and Titan line. It mounts on a 2 1/2 x 2 13/16 inch bolt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape. It has new springs and three new rollers on it. It has been recharged and puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It has the original leadout cover on it but it has some chips out of it. Old Bates Edmonds Bulldog Hit Miss Gas Engine Webster Magneto Ignitor Bracket
This is a very hard to find original Webster magneto mounting ignitor bracket for a Bates and Edmonds Bulldog gas engine. It is bracket number 303K138 and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs and is in near perfect condition. The movable shaft has no wear at all. The roller is in perfect shape and everything works as it should. The points are in great shape and should last a very long time. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes about 3 3/16 inches apart on center. The barrel measures 1 13/16 inches in diameter. The only thing this bracket needs is a flip top oil cup for the movable shaft which is available rather inexensively from several of the hobby suppliers. This ignitor bracket is for all of the Bulldog engines from 2 1/2 through 12hp. It may fit others as well. Measure your engine to be sure. If you need one for ... morea project or a restoration they don't get much nicer than this one. These brackets are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and it will likely be a long time before another one turns up. The pictures tell the story. Don't miss it. Good Luck.

This is a real nice original Webster M-31 magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in good condition but the oiler caps are missing and one oiler hole has a part chipped off. The threads on the bottom are in good condition. This magneto has many applications in the gas engine world. It has the original name band on it. It has almost no noticeable wear in the bearings or on the trip finger. These magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets. It would even make a great spare on the shelf. This is a rather tough to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a Waterloo hit and miss gas engine. It is bracket number 303K8 and is in near perfect condition with no cracks. The Webster Oscillating Magneto was only used on single cylinder low compression engines for the period 1910-1920. I can not find any info on the engine maker. here is some info from the web. Serial#87868 1/2 Horse Power Gasoline Engine manufactured for the Empire Cream Separator Co. Bloomfield, New Jersey by the Alamo Manufacturing Co. Hillsdale, Michigan. 1/8" Bore X 4 5/8" Stroke- Rated H.P. at 500 R.P.M. This engine line was typical of many in that it wore the name of one company as'their' engine and yet was actually built by some other firm. This offer is for the Webster magneto shown. All the parts move freely but probably the whole thing needs to be cleaned. It was covered with oily sawdust. I tried cocking and tripping the starting lever. But did not see a spark at the breaker points. The points are opening and closing. There are no parts that are rusted tight. There is no damage or repairs. The bracket has two 17/32 holes, 2 3/8 inches apart. I have seen this same bracket listed for a Galloway engine. The whole unit is complete. Old International Harvester Famous Titan Webster Magneto Ignitor Bracket 12-20hp
This is a pretty nice original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a larger International Harvester Famous or Titan gas engine. It is bracket number 303J3 and will fit the 12. 15, and 20hp engines. It mounts to the engine with two 1/2 inch holes 3 inches apart on center. The magneto mounts on a 2 7/16 x 2 13/16 inch rectangular pattern. The points look great and the movable shaft has very little wear. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs on the body of the bracket. The only flaws I've noticed is that the small braze on the back of the advance retard lever and the spring that holds this lever in place is missing. Both should be pretty easy to remedy. Also, someone has cut down the"barrel" at some point probably to adapt it to a different engine but this will not affect the performance of the ignitor. These original brackets ... morefor the big IHC Famous engines don't turn up very often in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one don't miss your chance on this one. This is real nice original WEBSTER MAGNETO M1 off of a 1 1/2. 1 3/4,or 2 hp HERCULES or ECONOMY hit and miss engine. It will work on many other engines that use an M1 magneto. This is one of the nicest looking M1 magnetos I have had. Studs are all nice and tight with the original nuts on them. Has the brass band. New springs. Not rusty. Nice strong homemade magneto magnet charger. Will charge any magnet with north and south poles. May have to make adapter blocks for diffrent magnets. Coils are pretty thick. Makes a magnet very strong with a couple flips of the heavy duty/current switch. Has nice aligator clips for your 12v battery. Connections are good with shrinkwrap. Mounted on old pine plank board. Webster magneto shipwreck artifact from the Flora M. Hill in Lake Michigan off Chicago IL. Retrieved in 1979 and my dive buddy was Bill. Author of below article. This was a part of the cargo the Hill was hauling. Here is the story for you and photos from the Chicago Library of the Flora M. Hill stuck in the ice. I found this magneto myself and am offering it to you as an artifact, paperweight, book end, conversation piece. This is a magneto for a stationary engine, they call them'hit and miss' engines. Any questions, please let me know. Has been cleaned and pained where the black parts of iron are. This was a rusty mess when found. On brass top it says Podlesak Patents Webster Magneto The Webster Electric Co. Racine Wis USA. Hard to put a price on anything shipwreck related here in the midwest. You can't take anything off a wreck ... moreanymore. I donated 90% of my shipwreck finds to Jim Lockwood Scuba Museum, so if you want to take a look when you are in Loves Park IL, you can see a lot more shipwreck items there. The ship sank on March 11. 1912, just more than a mile from the safety of the Chicago harbor. She was originally constructed as the DAHLIA and was used as a lighthouse tender on the Eastern Seaboard by the U. S. Government. Built in 1874. The ship was 130 feet long and 26 feet wide. During the process of being rebuilt in 1910, the vessel was fitted with heavy iron plates in order to help protect it against damage by the ice during the winter. After being renovated, the ship was purchased by the Hill Steamboat Line, brought into the Great Lakes and put into service between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Old MAGNETO Webster Type K Tri-Polar Oscillator Hit and Miss Engine 2-bar parts
I'm selling this old engine magneto. This is a"2 bar" WEBSTER Tri-Polar magneto. Type K-60, Serial no. 657179. It is an important part that was fixed on an antique"hit and miss" gasoline engine. Barn find. Sold"as is" for parts of restoration. A couple good parts could be saved here. It is stuck. So we can't say if it is"hot" or not. The front bearing plate is cracked/broken; the back bearing plate seems OK. This kind of gray metal alloy was kind of fragile. The copper brass band is missing. The oil cups covers are missing. It has surface rust here and there. As you can see on few pictures below. There were 3 bolts at the bottom. That I took off to take my pictures; they are included in the deal. Old Webster AMM Magneto Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Steam Tractor Oiler NICE HOT!!
This is a real nice original Webster AMM oscillating magneto for a hit and miss gas engine. It has several applications in the gas engine world and is in good used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs except that on of the mounting holes has a crack in it. It still holes the stud just fine and could easily be remedied with some space age adhesive. It has very little wear in the bearings. The original brass name band is on it and very nice. It has the original leadout cover on it. It mounts to the ignitor bracket on a 1 1/2 x 2 inch bolt pattern. The body is in excellent condition unlike some of them that you see. The magnets have just been recharged. Even with the frayed leadout wire it puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. This wire along with one of the oil cups should be replaced ... morebut that's pretty easy. It also has some red paint overspray on it that should be removed. The trip finger is in excellent condition with VERY little wear. These Webster AMM magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so don't miss your chance on this one. Old Hercules Economy Hit Miss Gas Engine Webster Magneto Ignitor Bracket Steam
This is an original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a 1 1/2hp Hercules or Economy hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is bracket number 303M1 and is in good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except that it needs a new holder spring for the advance lever and an oiler cup which are available from several of the hobby suppliers. This should be an easy repair. The movable shaft has very little wear on it and the points look great. There is some pitting on the top of the flange but this would fill easily and not be noticed if you were to paint the bracket. It doesn't affect the performance of it. With a little time and attention this could be a perfect ignitor bracket. It mounts with two 7/16 inch holes about 1 3/4 inches apart on center. This mag is hot! I tripped with a screwdriver and got a brite blue spark at the points! My dad purchased this mag years ago along with some other gas engines. It didnt fit any of the engines he bought, or any we have bought since. I believe it fits a nelson bros. 1 1/2 hp. little jumbo? i am not certain this is what it is for, or it may fit others. Old BRASS Webster K Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Antique Motor Steam Tractor HOT!
This is a pretty nice original BRASS bodied Webster Type K oscillating magneto for a hit and miss gas engine. It has several applications in the gas engine world. It is in good used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. The original mounting threads in the brass body are perfect. It has some mild wear in the bearings and will run for a very long time. The rear cover is likely a replacement from back in it's working day. The magneto mounts to the ignitor bracket on a 2 x 2 inch square bolt pattern. The body is in excellent condition and has nice original patina. It would also polish up nicely if you so choose. It also needs a new name band which are available from several of the hobby suppliers rather inexpensively. The magnets have just been recharged. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine ... moreif it is set up properly. The trip finger is in good condition with some mild wear. These brass bodied Webster magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and the brass ones are so much nicer than the pot metal ones so don't miss your chance on it. Original Field Brundage Sattley Hit Miss Gas Engine Webster Ignitor Magneto WOW!
This is an original Webster magneto mounting ignitor bracket for a Field Brundage or Sattley hit and miss gas engine. It is in used condition with a very old and hard to see repair on the mounting flange and is ready to be used on an engine. It was used this way for many years after the repair. It is bracket number 303K11. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes 3 inches apart on center. It should fit on the 3. 5, 7, 9, and 12hp Field Brundage engines. It may fit on other engines as well but please measure your engine to be sure. There is very little noticeable wear on the movable shaft but the points could stand to be replaced. Everything seems to work as it should and it even has the original priming cup on it. The advance roller moves freely as does the lever but the tab that holds it in position on the back is broken. large ignitor for unknown gas engine with a 3 magnet webster magneto. my old book says the larger magnet webster is for engines at least 12 hp. looks complete except for one mounting bolt on bottom of ignitor. brass name plate on mag missing. appears to have no brass on mag. it is all free. it is not cleaned. i learned my lesson about cleaning up parts along time ago. you get it right off the shelf. has primer threaded opening on the left side of the flange. the ignitor mounting holes are 3" apart. wish i knew what it fits. my dad had 100 engines and it didn't fit any of them. as for most 100 year old parts. Please look good at the pics, no returns on this one

You are bidding on a very nice single bar brass Webster magneto. It is missing one spring. And the magnet. I've had probably over 20 magnets the last few years, of course I don't have one now, but they are easy to find at any good size engine swap meet, or here on ebay. The mag is in excellent shape other than that. These single bar brass websters are hard to find, and this one is in great, umolested original shape. Also, I'm throwing in a Hercules/Economy 1 1/2, and 1 3/4hp Webster bracket, 303M1. Somebody has spark plugged it, but all you would need to do it screw a pipe plug into it tight, grind flush, maybe build up the back a bit and machine your holes. NO welds or other damage to the bracket. Very easy hour of work for an amateur machinist, and you'll have a nice bracket, all you need is the stationary and movable electrodes, ... morehard to find them unwelded.
