Old Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Fuel Gas Tank Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler Ignitor
This is a gas tank for a hit and miss gas engine. I'm not sure what brand of engine it is for but if you know please educate me. It measures about 2 5/8 x 5 7/8 inches and is about 16 1/8 inches long. It has two 1/2 inch female fittings at two top corners. It has a 1/4 inch female outlet on the bottom about 3 1/4 inches back from the front. The tank seems to be very solid with no rust and I almost think it is a newly made tank. The solder is a bit crude but could easily be dressed down. It looks like someone has put sealer in the tank after it was built and although I haven't tested it. I think it would hold gas. If you need a tank for an engine project and this one will work don't miss it. The pictures tell the story. Old Ford Model T Fuel Tank Sediment Bulb Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Oiler
This is an original cast iron sediment bulb for a Ford Model T car. Truck, or Fordson tractor. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is complete with the brass drain valve at the bottom. The shut off valve is stuck but I'm sure with a little heat it would come loose. The threads for the fuel line and the the fuel tank are both in great shape. These cast iron originals are very hard to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one to finish a project or just for a spare on the shelf, here it is. The pictures tell the story. Old Ford Model T Fuel Tank Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Oiler Rat Rod NICE!
This is a pretty nice original fuel tank for a Ford Model T car. I believe it was used from 1913-1920. It is in pretty good condition for it's age but does have a few dents that could removed fairly easily. It has has a dent by the filler hold that needs to be removed and the fitting resoldered. It measures about 10 1/2 inches in diameter and about 28 inches long. It has the all brass sediment bulb on the bottom of it. It came for the estate of an early car collector and hasn't seen the light of day in many years. It would be a great way to complete your restoration project! Reproductions like these complete with the brass bulb are about $220. These originals don't turn up very often and they look so much better than the reproductions so if you need one don't miss this one. It will likely be a long time before another one ... moreturns up! Fuel Gas Tank for Hit Miss Stationary Gas Engine Round old tin tank Weber Marine
This offering is for a nice old fuel tank for some old hit miss stationary gas engine. In a quick glance at the Big Yellow Book I noticed several engines using a tank apearing to be similar to or the same as this tank. Dimensions are as follows 7"X7" The fill plug which is not loose is 3/8" and the outlet bung is 1/4" with a 1/4"X1/8" reducer in it. I can not see any holes. But if there are any a quick coating of tank sealer would take care of the issue. The main issue I see is a area on an edge that took a hit. You can see it in one of the pictures. The dent is on the bottom so at least it will not be facing up. Other wise as you know finding good old tanks like this is getting harder every day. Keep in mind that if you want an original looking tank on your engine that its hard to find a tin man let alone getting ... morethem to make a tank in the old styles any more with all the old style flares and lips and so on. Antique Old Smaller Hit Miss Stationary Vintage Engine Gas Fuel Tank on Stand
Antique Vintage Hit Miss This listing is for an Antique Hit Miss Gas or Fuel Tank on Stand This is an old gas or fuel tank for a stationary engine. It is a nice smaller size. The tank is held on the short stand by two straps. I took it off the stand to check the bottom of the tank. Which looks good. There is a fuel gauge on the one side and a petcock& sediment bowl on a different side. There is a drainplug on the bottom accessable through a hole in the stand platform. I have never used this so I do not know the condition of that fuel gauge. There is rust/rusting inside so it would need to be cleaned out. Small shallow dent on the top that is hard to see and I have include a photo to try to show this. The petcock& sediment bowl would be taken off for shipping. Shipping cost is based on the assembled tank on stand. Overall height with ... moretank on the stand is 34 inches to the top of the tank filler neck& cap(It is 30-1/2" just to the top of the tank without the filler neck& gas cap) Overall width on the stand is apprx 20 inches. I have for you r condideration a Reproduction fuel tank for a Taylor or a Challenge 1 1/2 HP engine. I know you can use this tank on any application as long as you have the room. The tank is 15" long.6" wide and 2 5/8" tall or deep. There is a fuel fill cap and also a fuel drain on this. The fuel inlet to carb is a smaller size thread on cap that you would just drill out the size of you fuel lone. The mounting straps are 8" to mount to the rails of your cart. Old IHC 1hp Famous Titan Hit Miss Gas Engine Gas Tank, NICE!
Here is a gas tank from a 1914 engine. It has been modified for a side pickup of fuel at one point but is still a solid tank. I think the carb was changed at one time and it was moved. It is soft solder, so it could be moved and put a plug in the side hole, or use it on another engine such as a Witte or a similar tanked engine. It is a heavy gauged metal. There is a baffle in the tank and some corrosion, but not close to rusted through. The last picture shows the entire engine, this auction is for just the gas tank. Due to health issues, the engine is being parted out, as time allows, we'll add the rest of the parts we have for it. This is a super nice ORIGINAL split gas tank for a Fordson farm tractor. It was found on the loft of an old barn and has been high and dry for many decades. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has the embossed ends with the Fordson name in them and also has the embossed labels for the two different tanks in it. It has the original cast iron sediment bulb and both original covers. Both of the covers are loose and turn as they should. The inside of the tank is nice and clean and the outside just has some very minor surface rust in places. This will fit a 3 or 4 hp Associated engine. It is 12 3/4" X 6" high. The tank is nicer than it looks in the pictures. It is solid and the embossing is good. But the paint is chipping. The cap is not original. 2 of the mounting lugs are mssing and the outlet appears to have been resoldered. Any item over $30.00 must be insured. 1hp IHC MOGUL ORIGINAL FUEL TANK GAS TANK Hit and Miss Old Gas Engine
Here is a fuel tank for a 1hp IHC Mogul engine. I know for sure it is for a 1hp Mogul. I took it out of a 1hp Mogul crankcase. The gas tank is really solid, there are no soft spots. This is an original gas tank, I cannot guarantee it will not leak but it sure looks good to me, I do not see any holes. There is only solder on the tank, no JB weld. Check out the pictures and see if you need it. Great shape and probably ready to use. Original! As a side note the engine this came off of had a serious problem that made it made it unable to run. No problems with this part though! If you pick this part up at my house 7.25% sales tax will be added to the purchase price. If it is shipped or delivered out of state then there will be no sales tax. If you have the proper exemptions then also there would be no sales tax. This is a Damaged/ Repairable Fuel/ Gas Tank for an old Fairbanks Morse Z D Stationary/ Farm Engine. This fits both the 1 1/2& 2 HP version of this engine. I poured about a 1/2 cup of fuel oil into it& The Last Pic is of the only Apparent leak{circled} But you MAY find others upon cleanup. Also.it needs the filler neck soldered back on. I have not attempted to remove the large filler cap.As it is kind of bent up, but if you are patient you may be able to save it. Otherwise you may need to find a different lid. It seems to be in USED Repairable condition, but use your own judgement& look closely at the pic's.This is a part that is pretty tough to locate, in any condition.The pic shown is of actual item selling. Vtg Hit Miss Industrial Galvanized Gas Fuel Can Tank Machine Age Metal
For your consideration is one old galvanized metal gas can. Shows normal wear and use. Has one small dent that pictures do show. Has very little original paint. No visible holes, has original handle and caps. The spout cap does show some surface rust but is still in usable condition. I'm not sure how many gallons it can hold, I think it is a 2 1/2 gallon tank but I'm not sure. Measurements are 11 1/4 inches in diameter and 6 1/2 inches tall. I only ship on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
