Up for auction are TWO Vintage Plumbing Valves by the Combination Pump Valve Co. And Wolverine Brass Works. The larger unique looking one is most likely from a steam boiler.very cool. This one has been painted silver, but it wouldn't take much to strip it back down to its solid brass core. Excellent Steampunk! The large brass valve is the Combination Pump Valve Company. It is a brass valve that has been painted silver. Some of the paint has come off as seen in the photos and it would not be much of a project to remove the rest of the paint to expose all of the brass. I offer the Valve as found. It is marked: Combination Pump Valve Co. 3/4 6000 LB, L.H. THD. B833, PL-674. I think this is a steam valve. It works. But was not tested with steam, or to 6000 PSI. 1930's Medical DENTAL Quack PUMP or BELLOWS, Cast IRON & STAINLESS - STEAM Punk
Up for auction is a great old medical piece which looks to be a pump or maybe a bellows of some sort. Its of very high quality manufacture and consists of a stainless primary outer cylinder along with its cast iron base assembly. When the handle looking upper crosspiece is pulled upward while the base is held in place. The inner air chamber will fill up with air if the stainless valve is in the open position. Some slight leakage around the inner seal starts bleeding off the air intake if valve is kept closed. Three legged cast iron base with the original thick black paint typical of 1930s era medical instrumentation. Top cap is also cast iron and has a stainless crosspiece which I'm calling a handle. Also a great looking stainless valve assembly located on the top plate. I can't find any markings anywhere but is of very high quality ... moremanufacture- I though probably of German origin but the screw threads which hold the stainless cylinder to the base are imperial 8-32 standard machine threads. So I'm thinking US made. Unit appears to be in excellent overall condition. Pump mechanism does try to hold air as intented. No real damage anywhere. Pretty clean condition. Too. Overall height is about 11-1/2 inches when pump is collapsed. About 15 inches when chamber has air inside cylinder. GREAT STEAM PUNK Piece! Please. This is an original brass filter screen for the draw pipe on a water pump. It measures about 1 7/8 inches in diameter and about 2 3/4 inches tall overall. It has both 3/4 and 1 inch female pipe threads. It has been used and needs a little solder repair or some new screen. The body is cast brass. This is an Antique Walnut Mason& Hamlin Pump Organ. Style 256 No. 111351. It is in original condition and showing it's age. All the parts appear to be there for the main bellows, but they are in need of refurbishing, material and webbing, purchased in 1988 comes with it and are included. The keyboard is there and a couple of the stops are disconnected from the back, but are there. It has scratches and dings and the finish is worn on the top areas. The gold stencilling in the panels is in fairly good condition. The screens are a little worn. The carpeted foot peddles are worn. This would be a great piece for a Steam Punk Creation! The inside is in great condition and this greaser works perfectly. It has 3/8 inch pipe threads which are in excellent condition. It could be polished if you like or leave the original patina as it is. Restored Marsh Steam Pump for Steam Traction Engine
A nice restored Marsh Steam Pump used on Steam Traction and Portable Engines. These pumps are used to pump water into steam boilers and were installed as a primary or secondary pump along with an injector. The lever on the side is used to start pump and can be used to mix steam with injected water to preheat. Or lever can be moved to make exhaust steam vent out so oil used to lubricate pump will not be pumped into boiler. Pump was disassembled and cleaned, painted and new gaskets made. Old IHC Famous Titan Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Fuel Pump Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a pretty nice original fuel pump for an International Harvester Famous or Titan gas engine. It is part number G607 and mounts with two 7/16 inch holes 1 1/2 inches apart on center. It was factory equipment on the 4. 6, 8, 10, and 12hp engines. I believe that it will fit on the 15 and 20 hp engines but the part number would be wrong. It is in great condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. The 1/4 inch pipe threads are in good condition. The plunger moves as it should and is nice and snug in the bore. The check balls are in this pump and it is ready to go to work on an engine. It has a few cosmetic blemishes as can be seen but still looks pretty good and none of the blemishes affects its operation at all. Hi. This is Don. Found this the other day. First time I've seen one up close. Two photos are before I gunked it, I removed the label worried that the gunk could wipe it out. The label seems it will clean up fine, I took my thumbnail over line six at the bottom and made it easily readable, where it looks wiped out on the left side, seems to be some old overspray, and does clean off. I think that label will clean up very well. The flat pulley is 7" dia, up to a 1 1/2" belt. When you spin the pulley it turns the shaft with the crank, when you spin the pulley the other direction, it still turns the other shaft the same way. Just because I gunked this thing, it still needs completely cleaned out inside. I have been letting it sit upside down to drain, but seems to be trapping oil in the top glass tubes. Site glass on the corner looks ... moreokay. The heavy cast pedestal looks specific for a certain machine. The pump weighs 25lbs, and the pedastal is 20lbs. I would ship without it to save cost. This is an old Brass Hand Pump Lubricator made by the Michigan Lubricator Co. of Detroit. As I understand it. These were used to hand pump lubrication into the engine before the engine was started and the mechanical lubricator took over. Seems to be in excellent condition with no damage and everything seems operational. The reservoir tank on this is about 3 1/2" in diameter and 4" tall. These were used on Steam Engines and old Hit and Miss engines. Old Leader Hit Miss Gas Engine Ignition Switch Water Pump Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a very rare original pressure operated ignition switch for a Leader hit and miss gas engine powered air compressor or water pump. It is in exellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 4 1/4 inches wide at its widest and about 4 inches tall. It needs a new torsion spring on the needle but this should be pretty easy to make. It is made almost entirely of brass and has the original name tag on it. It has 1/4 inch female pipe threads and they are in great shape. These ignition cutout switches are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one for an authentic restoration here's your chance. You are bidding on a wonderful antique C. PERKES BRASS& CAST IRON BILGE HAND PUMP. It is in EXCELLENT near PRISTINE condition. The old timer I purchased this from said his father would use this pump to fill the steam engine tractor that they used. You put your foot through the hole in the cast iron base. It is a beautiful piece to look at and made mostly of brass. It still has the rubber seal in the pump so I am sure it works! This was also commonly used as a bilge pump on boats. You just need to pick it up to know that the quality is amazing. The last patent year is 1901. S PECS: The pump body is 2.00" O.D. by about 10" long. Inside diameter(where the plunger moves) is 1.84" I.D. The plunger inside appears to be leather. And is in good shape considering its age. Overall height retracted is 24-1/8" tall, with stroke ... moreextended about 33" tall overall. Nice comfortable two-hand wooden handle is 8-1/2" wide. This item weighs in at a very solid 10 lb 1 oz(4563 g) The water inlet is 2" from the floor, and the water outlet fits the female end of a standard 3/4" garden hose. We did not test whether or not it pumps water- didn't want water inside messing up shipping/padding- but the plunger operates up/down as it should. And one can feel air pressure on the outlet when pumping. But you should assume that it needs work/maintenance to be operational/reliable as a bilge pump on your boat or ship. Pumping action is essentially smooth; probably even more so if some grease were added to the plunger inside- but we've left that to you, if you so choose to do so. If you have any questions. Sussman Aqua Gold Industrial Steam Iron with Pump Untested
This is a Sussman Aqua Gold Industrial Steam Iron with Pump. From a local storage unit from a shop that went out of business. Read details below before bidding. Cosmetics-Cork handle on the iron has a chuck missing from the bottom area. See photo. Dirt residue. Wear, and corrosion from use. Some edge wear and nicks on the flat plate part. Pump section is clean overall with some scratches and missing the side serial label. Black hose that connects from the pump to the iron has a patch. See lots of pictures of what you are getting. Operational Condition-This type of item is not my area of expertise but did my best in check it out. When you turn on the yellow pump part it runs loudly. I plugged in the iron and it got really hot. Here we have a very nice Vintage The Deming Co. Salem, Ohio, Triumph#3 Model AA1270, Steam Engine Water Pump, Lever Operated in Excellent Condition. This is a large hit& miss style engine and pump, 30" long, 24" tall, and 9" wide without a lever. Steam holes are all 9/16" x 18 thread and may need tapped as there is some slight rust in them. The water holes are both 2" coming out of the pump. Lever actuation moves snugly as it should, but we do not have a lever to go with it. This is a wonderful show piece or could be put back to use. I believe this steam pump dates around 1900-10. All got painted except the end cap as shown. This is a good sized engine and pump, 23" long, 16" tall, and 9" wide without a lever. Steam holes are all 7/16" x 14 thread and clean. The water holes are 3" on the bottom and approx. 2" on the top. Lever actuation moves, and 39" lever is included. There is an old repair on the bottom lever yoke as shown in the photos, everything is holding together, but I'm sure it will need repaired. Up for auction is this great looking old antique Brass And Glass Pump Oiler! This is a Wm. Powell Oiler and measures about nine inches tall! Everything works and all I see is a small chip near the top on the glass but it will no interfear with the seal. The valve has a wooden knob and it works but it does have a scratch on it but not bad. Vintage Engine This is cast iron engine of some sort. I have found no names or markings. Just model numbers on different parts. There does not appear to be any breaks or damage to it, missing obvious parts and I believe it is frozen. Wheel will spin but wont turn the shaft to make any parts move. Steam Engine ,original Water Pump , Could Be A Fair Banks, Worthington ?
A steam engine water pump.No name on castings. Has what looks like( PD 62 C) stamped on top cover. On the bottom of pump cylinders is FB on one cylinder and 223 with a B under that number, on the other cylinder. Check photos. Under top cover one of valves stem or bolt is broken check photo(3) with pump apart. Pump was prepared for mystice seaports boat,later deemed to large. Check photos for some parts replaced,bore appears to be about 3 3/4" with new parts machined for the bores, check photo mounted on pallet. Pump doses need part mentioned above replaced. Old Original Marsh Steam Engine Tractor Water Pump Hit Miss Gas Magneto Oiler
This is a pretty nice original Marsh steam pump built by the American Steam Pump Company in Battle Creek. Michigan. It is in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can find or know of. Everything on it moves freely as it should. The only flaw that I know of is that it needs a piston on the big end and the cover for that end along with a few fasteners. These should be easy to make and then you'll have a perfect pump. It measures about 17 inches long and about 12 1/2 inches tall. These pumps certainly don't turn up very often in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking one don't miss your chance on this one. It's a pretty nice one. Ant. Brass Steam Engine ? Pump ? Hit Miss Fresh from an old shed. Check pics
Hello: Just found this in a very old shed. Not sure what it is. Looks like it might be a steam engine converted to a pump. Just a wild guess. You be the judge. It measures 25" long. 9" wide. 9 1/4" overall height. the Brass Fly wheel is 9 1/4" diam. 5/8" wide and total weight is 38 lbs. It is all most all Brass except for the base and screws and bolts and round piston rod. It was partially apart and not bolted to the base. I bolted it to the base with modern bolts. It turns over smooth and one of the outlets on top sucks and the other one blows. I think it could be used as a pump or very nice display or show. I couldn't make myself throw it in the scrap Brass. This is a real nice original#45 Oilwell Supply Catalog. It is often considered the bible of oil well supplies and goods. It measures about 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches and has a whopping 1388 pages! It shows everything that the company offered from the Black Bear engines to steam engines. Pumping powers, drilling rigs, derricks, pumps, lamps, lubricators, pulling rigs, hardware, steam generators, and the list just doesn't quit! It is heavily illustrated and is an awesome reference for this equipment. It has specifications for many of the items and would look great displayed with your oil field equipment at the shows. It would be a fine addition to your early oil field or industrial literature collection. It is in excellent condition with a decent binding and only a few loose pages but they are all there.
