Old Gould Shapley Muir Hit Miss Gas Engine Cylinder Head Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a very hard to find original cylinder head for a Type K Gould Shapley and Muir gas engine. It is in excellent complete condition and includes the valves. Springs, and butterfly. It is free of any cracks, breaks, or repairs other than one slight crack that is pointed out. This has likely rusted shut over the years but would be easy to repair it from the inside with a little space age adhesive. The valves move freely and they look good as do the seats. There is very little wear on the throttle shaft. The head is part number 2KE131 and mounts to the cylinder on a 3 3/4 inch square bolt pattern. It is about 6 3/4 inches in diameter overall. I'm pretty sure that it is for a 2hp engine but measure your engine to be sure. I believe these late GSM engines were built by Rock Island and the parts may interchange. These heads are often broken ... morebeyond repair or missing so if you need one for any reason here's your chance. They certainly don't turn up very often! The pictures tell the story. Breaks, or repairs and still has most of it's original paint on it. It fits in a 3 1/2 inch cylinder recess and has a number 3 casted into it. The valves move freely and can likely be reused. The head mounts in an irregular pattern.the top three holes are 2 7/8 inches apart on center and the bottom three holes are 3 3/4 inches apart on center. Old Early 6hp Fairbanks Morse Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Head Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a real nice original cylinder head for an early 6hp Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It is the early style for the engines with an ignitor or plugoscillator ignition. It has been professionally repaired and looks great! The valves have the original springs and intake guard and are nice and tight in the guides and they have been gound. The throttle shaft is nice and tight and the water injection needle works as it should. This head mounts to the cylinder on a 5 inch square bolt pattern. There is one small repair spot by the pushrod guide that could be dressed down a bit if you'd like but I'm sure it would be fine just the way it is. I believe this head is ready to be used on an engine. These original heads for the early engines are pretty tough to find and they are usually broken badly. All of the hard and costly work has been ... moredone on this one! If you need one to replace yours or just would like a spare on the shelf they just don't get much nicer than this one. Fuller & Johnson Vintage Hit Miss Light Plant Engine Cylinder Head #2
Cylinder head for a Fuller& Johnson Western Electric#15B electric light plant. Part# 2V3A. It is in good condition with no broken fins and came from a running engine. One mounting ear for the mixer has been broken off and a glob or weld stuck on. This has been drilled and tapped for the bolt and while not pretty it works and has done so for many years.

Old Stover K Hit Miss Antique Gas Engine Motor Head Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler
This is a fantastic original water cooled cylinder head for a Stover hit and miss engine. It is part number 6K2 and mounts with four holes on a 3 1/4 inch square bolt pattern. It is about 6 inches in diameter and is in perfect ready to use condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. The valve guides and seats look perfect. I believe this is for a 2 horsepower engine but my fit others as well. Please measure your engine to be sure. This would be a perfect opportunity if your head is missing, broken, or repaired. Cylinder heads that are in perfect condition like this one rarely turn up in the wild or even at swap meets. it would even be a great spare on the shelf. The pictures tell the story. Maytag 92 Hit Miss Show Engine, Horse Head Exhaust, Crowd Pleaser!
Maytag model 92 hit miss engine set up for shows. It has a cast iron horses head that shows exhaust smoke coming out of the nostrils. I used a red carper to give a better view of the smoke. But it is hard to capture on a digital camera. In real life it shows very well. I have taken this engine to several shows and it is a real crowd pleaser especially to the casual spectator. I have had people come up and remark on this engine while ignoring much more elaborate and valuable machines. Flywheel serial is 350723 which dates it to 1929. The engine is complete, starts easy and runs fine. Since this engine is not painted the standard color I will provide the paint specs. Ship to USA 48 states only.

Hit miss engine Stover CT2 cylinder head,cracked
Stover CT2 cylinder head.HAS 2 CRACKS SEE PHOTOS.Can be brazed or JB weld.This head did not leak from the engine before it was rebuilt. I had another head so I used that. The exhaust valve has an oversized valve stem thickness and a heavy spring that is not original but worked fine.You would need to get an intake valve and spring and retainer. Stover part#6CT2. VINTAGE MAYTAG S299 CAST IRON CYLINDER HEAD hit miss engine
For your consideration is a vintage cast iron cylinder head with casting number S299. I believe it's from a 1937- 1952 Maytag dual cylinder engine. Please note that two small pieces of the fins are broken from the top. The threads are good. The cylinder interior has just a little bit of ver y light rust that will clean off easily(it had formed just in the last week or two when I had it sitting on my porch) This head is not perfect but it should be usable. 3 hp Gade cylinder,piston and head, Hit Miss
Cylinder. Head, and piston,for Gade engine.Bob Camble said this fits a 3 hp Gade. I think the bore 4 1/4" The bore is pitted, I am sure some one would sleeve it. I see no broken fins. No tag. The inside of the piston is pitted, but the outside looks smooth. The head has stuck valves. The head studs are all twisted off at the nuts. Although this is not great deal, and it is a little rough, it is a very hard to find part of a valuable engine. I can put this on a pallet. And take to Fastenal or deliver to Portland if I go, or to LeSuer if I go there. I usually go to Mt Pleasant in May.I have been seen at Coolsprings, Arden, and Zolfo Springs. I can ups it,but their insurance is no good for me. I no other parts for the Gade.Just castings for rocker arms for 2- 2 1/2.And 1 1/2, and mufflers. Some of Charliebrowns rules! GALLOWAY HEAD 5hp 6hp or 7hp ? Hit and Miss Old Gas Engine
Here is a head for a Galloway engine. I think it would fit an engine around a 5hp to 7hp in size please check the measurements against your engine so you can know if it will fit or not. The valves appear to be in good shape. The exterior surface is a little weathered but it would look much different if it were wire brushed with an angle grinder. Most importantly there are NO cracks. Breaks, or welds. Check out the pictures and see if you need it. Mounts to the engine with 6 holes Each hole is about 3-5/8" to 3-11/16" apart on center from the next closest one. The outside diameter of the head is about 9-5/16" The diameter of the raised area by the valves is 5-1/2" NO Cracks. Breaks, or Welds! If you pick this part up at my house 7.25% sales tax will be added to the purchase price. If it is shipped or delivered out of state ... morethen there will be no sales tax. Very nice original 1 1/2 horse power John Deere Model"E" Head. The head has"E93R" cast in raised letters. No cracks. Breaks or repairs. The head has some original paint. Also has the original valves and springs. The valves are nice and have small amount of play in the guides. The needle valve turns and carb also has the choke plate. The choke plate is not original. I suspect these are off of some sort of antique tractor or hit and miss engine or something along those lines, or possibly some early automobile as well. 1hp STOVER K ?? HEAD AND ROCKER ARM Old Gas Engine Hit and Miss
I think that this is a head and rocker arm for a small Stover engine such as a 1hp Stover K. It appears to be in great shape. The valves are stuck. There are no cracks. Breaks, or welds that I can see or know of. Take a look at the pictures and see if you need it. It mounts to the engine with 4 holes 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" apart on center The hole that the carb slips into is 1-1/6" The raised area in the middle of the head where the copper gasket goes is 3-1/2" Part# E4 If you pick this part up at my house 7.25% sales tax will be added to the purchase price. If it is shipped or delivered out of state then there will be no sales tax. If you have the proper exemptions then also there would be no sales tax. Here is a cylinder head for a 1hp IHC Mogul engine. It is in great shape. The valves work smoothly and the guides seem tight. The throttle valve also work smoothly and is tight. I HAVE FOR SALE AN ORIGINAL Cylinder Head from a SANDOW engine. I believe this head will work on other Waterloo and Waterloo" CONTRACT" style engines such as( Majestic. Banner, T. Eaton, American Boy, and the list goes on) This cylinder head was removed from a 4 HP engine, but might fit other HP's and models so please let the pictures and measurements be your guide. The total diameter of the head is 8 1/2" There are 4 holes that bolt the head to the block which are approx. 4 1/2" on center. The valves are free and functional. The threads are all in great shape. NOTE: At some point in this heads life it took on some hard water and has an old blacksmith weld/ repair that was done many years ago( PIC 2 and 5) This head was removed from a Sandow engine that showed in the early 80's. This head was not some ones pipe ... moredream to fix and not use again. As seen in PIC# 4 the repair is not pretty in the inside, but it worked. I think you could easily clean up the outside of the head even more and not even notice the repair with a new layer of paint. Also included with this head is some of the plumbing for the carb. The valves are free& springs seem good.Looks to have casting# of ZAC362. Included is just the parts in the picture, In good USED condition& no CBW. Here is a Fairbanks Morse Z cylinder head. Looks to be in good shape with valves and springs, 7 5/8 diameter and 4 3/8 bolt hole spacing. I don't see any cracks, breaks or welds. All items sold as is. What you see is what you get.
