I believe this is part of a setup to air up the tires with the engine as it says that the engine must be run very slowly. This is a very nice original brass bodied Webster K magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It oscillates very nicely with no noticeable wear in the bearings and has excellent magnetic pull as the magnets have just been recharged. It puts out a HOT, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. There is very little wear on the trip finger and I don't think that this magneto has seen very much use in it's life. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern. It has a brass body and brass bearing plates which is so much nicer than the pot metal bodied magnetos! It has the original oilers on the bearings and the original leadout cover. It has a new leadout wire on it. It is missing the original name band but these are ... moreavailable rather inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. This is a real nice original Webster Model M magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is missing the two oil cups for the bearings but these are available rather inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. It has many applications in the gas engine world like Stover, Hercules, Economy, Sattley, Sandwich, and MANY others. It has been gone through, checked over, and magnets recharged. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It mounts on a 1 1/2 x 2 inch bolt pattern. The mounting threads aren't perfect but they are pretty nice and hold a bolt very well. The trip finger has very little wear on it. This is a real nice original Webster JY magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for one small ear of the body being chipped off. The piece is there and it would be tough to notice with a little space age adhesive. I didn't notice it when I took the pictures. This is a BIG magneto that has many applications in the gas engine world, most notably the big International Harvester Famous and Titan line. It mounts on a 2 1/2 x 2 13/16 inch bolt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape. It has new springs and three new rollers on it. It has been recharged and puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It has the original leadout cover on it but it has some chips out of it. This is an original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a Worthington or Ingeco hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is bracket number 303M63 and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the retaining clip on the back of the advance/retard lever. This should be an easy repair. Other than that it is in near perfect condition. The movable shaft has no wear at all on it and the points look like new. The roller is in perfect shape and everything works as it should. it even has the original priming cup on it. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes about 3 1/2 inches apart on center. The barrel measures 1 13/16 inches in diameter. This ignitor bracket is for a 1 1/2, 2 1/2, and 4hp Worthington and Ingeco engines. It may fit others as well. Measure your engine to be sure. Old Barnes Brass Cylinder Water Pump Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a really neat original Barnes hand water pump. It was made by the Barnes Manufacturing Company in Mansfield. Ohio. It stands about 21 inches tall and is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a brass pump cylinder that would polish up nicely! Everything moves as it should. Old Sunlight Generator Briggs WMB Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Magneto WOW
This is a really neat and unusual Sunlight 110 volt portable generator. It was made by the Sunlight Electrical Manufacturing Company in Warren. Ohio. It has a Briggs and Stratton WMB engine on it for power. The engine is kick start and turns over nicely with great compression. The generator turns over nicely and seems to be in good condition. It is missing one of the doors on the back side but the other one is there for a pattern to reproduce one. The original gas tank is there and is in decent shape with a couple of small dings. Surprisingly the engine has it's original muffler which is almost never seen! I think with just a little cleaning this could be a running setup. I personally have never seen another one but I'm sure there's a few out there. Old Biddle Hit Miss Gas Engine Dynamo Tachometer Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler
For the enthusiast. This auction features a vintage Biddle tachometer. This is a really neat original early hand held tachometer sold by the James Biddle Company in Philadelphia and made in Switzerland. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is tested and fully functioning. It is in the original case and has all the original included parts. It has a switch on it that you can move to check shaft speeds from 0-6000 rpm's. These early tachometers are almost impossible to find and are indispensible tools to have when running engines or belt driven implements. This one is in excellent condition and ready to go to work. The covering on the original case shows typical wear. But easily forgiven. Previous owner had some hand-written notes which are included.

Magneto Conversion for John Deere E Hit Miss Gas Engine Mag Ice Cream Spark Plug
This is a FULLY rebuilt Conversion Magneto to fit the John Deere 1.5& 3 HP Type E Engines. We convert the engine from the original low tension magneto-ignitor set up to High Tension spark plug ignition. Gear driven just like the original. Many of these old John Deere Engines are missing their original Ignitor and Magneto or needs extensive repairs which can make it very costly to set the engine back up to run. With this conversion set up we can cut the cost to get the engine running by almost half. There are no modifications to the engine at all. So the engine can be refitted back to original with no problems if you should ever choose to. You simply set this mag in place using the original bolt holes and the original size and length bolts. Bolt the spark plug plate to the Ignitor location. The same mag fits both the 1.5 and 3 three HP ... morejust a different gear for each. The Mags get anything needed. No short cuts. New Cap, Points, Condenser, Coil. And anything else it may need. Two Year warranty against defects in workmanship and or the new or used parts in this mag. Miss installation Voids the warranty. INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL: First if you have any of the old ignition parts in place remove them. To remove the old magneto first remove the two screws that fasten the mag plate gear cover. Then remove the crankcase cover. Now remove the governor cover screws and the governor cover. Under. Or on the bottom of the governor housing which is what the governor cover bolts to there is a 1/4" pipe plug pointing down. Remove it and a pin should slide out allowing the hook up lever to be moved out of the way to allow easy access of the two bolts that hold the Mag in place. You may need to remove the Cam follower as well. You will use the original bolts to mount the replacement magneto. If you do not have the original bolts get some so that when the bolt is placed in position there are three threads extending above the housing. It has the original cast iron handle on it with a part number of G78A casted into it. This would look good on an old engine and it would even look good as a spare on the shelf. Old Powell Hit Miss Gas Engine Brass Fuel Valve Oil Field Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a real nice original old style 3/4 inch Powell gas valve for a hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has mild wear and marks on it from its years of service. It moves as it should and is ready to be used on an engine. It is missing the original handle but these aren't real tough to find. I can also be used without it. The threads are in great shape. This would look good on an old engine and it would even look good as a spare on the shelf. These larger gas valves are getting harder to find every day so if you need one don't miss it. The pictures tell the story. You won't be disappointed in any way. Good Luck.

Old Jackson Hit Miss Gas Engine Sales Brochure Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler NICE!
This is a really neat and pretty scarce original sales brochure for the Jackson gasoline engines made by the A.W. Straub Company in Chicago. Ilinois. It is in excellent condition and measures about 6 x 9 inches and is a fold open brochure. It shows all of the features of the engines and also has all of the specifications for them. The brochure has a rough edge along the open side but this takes nothing away from the information it contains. I have seen and owned a lot of original sales literature for early engines but I've never seen this particular piece. Jackson paper just doesn't turn up very often. It would be a great addition to your early agriculture literature collection especially if you have a Jackson engine! Catalogs in this condition don't turn up very often so don't miss it. It appears to be complete except for the oil fill on the front is broke and missing and the lid spring for the tag lid is gone as can be seen in the pictures. The Brass Tag lid on the back is half ground away but you can still read“2500 RPM No. 22289 Type: J Pat. 1900-1902” This spins by hand but is rough and dry. It appears to have a little bit of bearing wear. This may need to be cleaned up or rebuilt. It even has the often missing friction drive governor but it is stuck. Sold as-is. This is the 1st one by this maker that I've yet seen so I consider it to be somewhat rare. We found this in the attic of a long-closed FORD Dealership that began business in 1915. Found recently with some other junk. I believe it's for the plug oscillator Fairbanks Morse but can't remember and haven't looked at one in a long time so you be the judge. Armature is loose and I feel a pretty decent magnetic pull. Unfortunately the pot metal base is deteriorating. There is a number 350210 stamped in the base. Please see pics. Ask questions if needed. This is a very rare original Sumter Model AP low tension rotary magneto for a hit and miss gas engine& are almost impossible to find This magneto was originally on a 20 HP Fairbanks N. This magneto is missing two magnets and is stuck. I have not tried to disassemble. The base is in very good shape. Good threads in the base. If it wasn't missing the magnets would be complete.
