Old IHC LA/LB Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Valve Cover Wing Nut Steam Magneto
This is an original valve cover wing nut for a 1 1/2hp or 3-5hp International Harvester type LA or LB gas engine. It is in good condition for it's age. Has perfect threads and is ready to be used on an engine. It would clean up and paint very nicely. These original wing nuts were often replaced with a standard wing nut so if you need an original cast iron one here's your chance. The pictures tell the story. Last time this tank held gas it didn't leak a drop and I have thoroughly inspected it just recently and cant see any pin holes or even rust inside it. This tank is NICE and you won't find one better. This valve cover with drip tube fits an International Harvest Company Model LB 1-1/2 2-1/2 hp gas engine. Measuring from the mounting bolt hole to the back of cover it is 5-3/4" It is 5-7/8" wide and 6-3/8" tall. This cover has been repainted inside and out. There is no pitting. It is very smooth. Good original 1 1/2- 2 1/2 horse power International Model"LA or LB" Head. The head has the four original mounting bolts. No cracks. Breaks or repairs. The head has the original paint and comes with the original carburetor. The carburetor has some erosion and slight deterioration of the pot metal. It still looks like it would be a good usable carb. The choke plate is rusty, but still works. The head has the original valves and springs. The valves are nice and have almost no play in the guides. NICE hot IHC LA LB magneto 1 1/2 - 2 1/2hp hit & miss gas engine farm L@@K!!!!
You are bidding on a very nice and hot. Magneto for a 1 1/2- 2 1/2hp IHC LA and LB engine. This mag will also work for the 3-5hp but you need to switch the gears. There are two cracks in the cover, but no other issues or damage that I can see. All I have done to this mag is check the spark, which is really nice. Excellent impulse! No corrosion on the body at all, this mag I don't think ever saw the elements. If you need a good hot mag and don't want to pay stupid money for a rebuilt one, you may want to bid on it. NO reserve! International Harvester Original IHC LA LB Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto H1 3-5 HP
Here is a nice magneto for an LA/LB IHC gas engine. The model on case housing is 8551DX! The mag can be used on any size engine. But the gear is probably for the larger size engine(3-5 HP) 3 1/4" diameter. You can switch out drive gear for conversion to smaller HP engines magneto if needed! If you have a bad mag or your mag is missing- this is a nice original mag. Try to remember that these magnetos are also close to 60 years old or more and I try to select the nicer ones! From the start the mag was completely disassembled/ glass bead blasted/ inspected and cleaned. Then clear coated with high temp paint, then base is painted with IH red prior to assembly and baked@ 250 degrees for 40 minutes for durability while completely apart! Then parts in the mag are replaced as needed. The mag impulse was removed and inspected/ cleaned/ lubed(snaps ... morenice) Front and rear bearings cleaned and repacked with high quality grease. Magnet and ignition coil is very strong! The mag has nice points, nice IHC logo coil cover. When I finished the rebuild, I tested the mag and ran it on a tester. It had a real nice hot blue spark. Its is ready for work or play! The mag in the picture is the one you will receive and I do not reuse pictures! Nothing broken. Welded, repaired or in need of repair. Please see the pictures!

Original IHC LA LB Hit Miss Gas Engine Cast Iron Belt Pulley Steam Tractor Oiler
This is a rather hard to find original cast iron pulley for an International Harvester 1 1/2/ 2 1/2 or 3/5hp LA or LB gas engine. It is part number 3594-D in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for a small chip on the edge. This shouldn't affect anything and it would be easy enough to fill it in if you so choose. It measures 8 inches in diameter with a 5 inch face and mounts onto the camshaft of these engines with a gib key. It will fit on both the small size and larger size LA's and LB's and is ready to go to work on an engine or on your shelf for a spare. These original pulleys, especially the larger ones like this one, are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so don't miss your chance on it.
