Waterloo Boy 2 H.P. Type H Hit and Miss Gas Engine, John Deere Engine
Up for auction here is a 2 horse power Waterloo Boy hit and miss gas engine. This is known as the John Deere built Waterloo Boy and has the JD cast in the block. There are no cracks breaks or welds I can find anywhere on the engine. It is not locked up but I have not had it running. It will need a new fuel line. It has the Wizard magneto. Both the mag and igniter are good. The magneto has been rebuilt by Adrians's Magneto Service out of Lancaster. MN. at a cost of $212.00 I have the receipt for the mag rebuild which will be included. This engine also has a good drip oiler, belt pulley, and will come with a tin crank guard that bolts to the engine block. There are 2 nice brass tags that are very readable. Eatons or other contract engines made by Waterloo Boy, needle valve turns freely, 3/4 inch pipe thread, original pick up tube and check valve, it has been repaired where gas pipe threads into carb, but it threads in good, not an easy carb to come by. John Deere Waterloo Boy Type H Hit and Miss Engine Igniter
Up for auction here is an igniter for a Waterloo Boy Type H hit and miss engine. This came off of a 2 H.P. engine but it may fit others as well. The spring is good and the points snap back together as they should. The bracket is not cracked broken or welded anywhere and it includes the mounting bolts and spacers for the magneto. The mounting holes that bolt the igniter to the block are about 2 1/4 inches apart on center. The mounting holes that hold the magneto to the bracket are about 5 inches apart on center. There was a Wizard magneto used on this. I know that some of the Waterloo Boy Type H engines came with a Webster magneto but I do not know if it will fit this bracket. Old 303K8 Waterloo Hit Miss Gas Engine Webster Magneto Ignitor Steam Rebuilt WOW
This is a rather tough to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a Waterloo hit and miss gas engine. It is bracket number 303K8 and is in near perfect condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has been completely rebuilt and has new mica and points. It also has a new roller. Everything is nice and tight and works as it should. It is ready to be put to work on a engine. It mounts with two 7/16 inch holes 2 1/8 inches apart on center. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. The pictures tell the story. Old Waterloo Boy Tractor Hit Miss Gas Engine Celluloid Knife Sharpener Steam WOW
This is an extremely scarce. If not rare, original advertising celluloid pocket knife sharpener featuring the Waterloo Boy kerosene tractor and engines. It also advertises US huskers and silo fillers, Letz feed grinders, and Russell threshing machines. It is quite large and measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter. It is from the Arbuckle Ryan Company in Toledo, Ohio. It is in great condition considering it's almost 100 years old with some minor staining and foxing around the edges. The stone on the back side is in near perfect condition. This would be a very nice addition to your early agricultural advertising collection especially if you like John Deere. You are buying ONE(1) ORIGINAL c. 1911 Steel Wheel Wonder Cement Mixer. Hoist with 5 HP gas engine, 4 inch diaphragm pump with 2 1/2 HP gas engine manual and parts catalog. 32 pages + rear cover. Please note that the rear cover is detached but has the Wonder logo. The Front cover is missing. All other pages are well stapled. A little grimy but completely readable and almost completely untorn or unfold or undamaged. There is a stain on the last page on the inside edge but it does not affect the pic as you can see in the last photo pic before the drawing that gives the latest patent date for the mixer as 1911 with others pending. I have been wanting to buy a parts engine. Waterloo from a man, so I bought these parts, hoping some day to get the engine bought. I do not actually know what these fit, they look Waterloo, and larger than any I have seen. Since the igniter has a tapered hole fit, I have decided that they must be for a KC Faultless engine. I do not know, buyer must decide. I do returns only for fraud, not regrets of purchase, or not being able to use them. I paid a lot for them, and am trying to get a few bucks together, so here they are. I do not accept offers as a general rule. Waterloo boy Hit and Miss Engine on a self propelled running gear
This is a waterloo boy hit n miss motor. I'm not sure what year it is or what the exact model is but it is in very nice shape and has very good compression. It hasn't been started in 3 years though but ran great when it was put into storage! The motor has a different carburetor on it and it looks like the carb came off of a smaller tractor but it does work great on the motor. The ignition has also been changed. It has a 12 volt electrical system with alternator for charging. And it also has a coil and points for the spark. It all works really good and it ran and started really good. The motor is mounted on a home made self propelled drive train and is hooked up to a older four speed transmission and then that is hooked up to a older car rear end. It all works good and it gets lots of attention in parades and shows! The main steering ... moreare that goes from the steering gear to the tie rod is also broke and will have to welded back on to drive it again but that will be a very easy fix. NICE Unrestored Waterloo-Boy 1-1/2 HP hit & miss stationary engine one lunger
Here is a very nice and unmolested Waterloo Boy 1-1/2 horsepower engine with an igniter ignition. I do nit have a gas tank but I'll throw in the coil that seems to put off a good spark at the igniter contacts. I had it running for a little while as I didn't have a proper tank to use. It is a quiet and sweet sounding engine and in good shape. It held water fine outside of a bad petcock which needs replacing; I filled it up and looked it over and there are no cracks, compression is ok but it was sitting a long time and already got better while running it. It has been in the family a long time. I can have a vehicle going out from Massachusetts to Chickasha Oklahoma, leaving around the 15th of March and can possibly arrange to meet up along the way or have someone meet up at the Chickasha Prewar meet from the 19th to the 21st. NICE 2 1/2hp Banner hit & miss gas engine on trucks runs excellent Waterloo L@@K
You are bidding on an exceptionally nice. 2 1/2hp Banner engine on a nice cart. I have been told by three fellow engine collectors, that the cart is early, and 100% original. Even has the original wood tongue. I am not a Waterloo expert, but I think they are correct. The engine itself is practically new mechanically. The gears have NO slop and the piston looks like new, same with the valves. I don't come across many engines that have this low of hours. The battery box is 100% original, and has the correct square gas tank built in. Original starting crank is also included. The engine is 100% complete(minus an oiler, one in pictures is not included) with factory crankgaurd, muffler, and pulley. Flywheels run straight as an arrow, and compression is super. I know it sounds like I'm making this engine out to be more than it is, but it ... morereally is in great shape. Only selling to fund another purchase. Only repairs are a weld on the head, and a small dab of solder on the carb which I don't understand why its there. If your looking for an engine that is totally unmolested except for the paint job, you will be hard pressed to find one any nicer. No suprises or rebuilding of any kind required with this engine. Feel free to ask questions. I can deliver this engine to Portland, IN swap meet or show, as well as Coolspring, PA show in June for $35. The total length of each weight is 6" The weights pivot and move freely on the pins just as they should. These weights were removed from a Sandow engine that showed in the early 80's. CYLINDER HEAD SANDOW WATERLOO CONTRACT 4 HP HIT MISS STATIONARY NICE ORIGINAL
I HAVE FOR SALE AN ORIGINAL Cylinder Head from a SANDOW engine. I believe this head will work on other Waterloo and Waterloo" CONTRACT" style engines such as( Majestic. Banner, T. Eaton, American Boy, and the list goes on) This cylinder head was removed from a 4 HP engine, but might fit other HP's and models so please let the pictures and measurements be your guide. The total diameter of the head is 8 1/2" There are 4 holes that bolt the head to the block which are approx. 4 1/2" on center. The valves are free and functional. The threads are all in great shape. NOTE: At some point in this heads life it took on some hard water and has an old blacksmith weld/ repair that was done many years ago( PIC 2 and 5) This head was removed from a Sandow engine that showed in the early 80's. This head was not some ones pipe ... moredream to fix and not use again. As seen in PIC# 4 the repair is not pretty in the inside, but it worked. I think you could easily clean up the outside of the head even more and not even notice the repair with a new layer of paint. Also included with this head is some of the plumbing for the carb. Original 2 1/2hp Waterloo Hit Miss Gas Engine Starting Crank Steam Tractor NICE!
This is a very hard to find original cast iron starting crank for a Waterloo or contract hit an miss gas engine. It has"2 1/2" cast right into it. It is for a 2 1/2hp engine and fits on a 1 1/2 inch crankshaft. It will work on any engine that it fits on but came from the factory with a 2 1/2hp Waterloo. These original cranks are VERY hard to find so if you've been looking for one here's your chance. They always make a restoration more complete and also make starting your engine easier! Unrestored Waterloo Boy hit miss ignitor engine John Deere runs good 2 1/2hp
This is an original un-restored Waterloo Boy engine that was found in a collapsed barn in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It likely was belted to a water pump that was found nearby. The cylinder head has had a very nice braze-over of a frost crack from the old days. And there are no leaks. The repair looks like a complete recovery from a well-earned battle scar. Waterloo Boy Gasoline Engine Co. was sold in 1918 and it's assets and designs became the John Deere Co. The engine is bolted to skid timbers that rest in the engine cart frame rails. The engine on skids can easily be slid off the cart to rest on the ground for solid belt work. Or the belt can be tensioned by staking the cart to ground- owners choice, and a nice option. The cart is made to carry the engine on it's skids. The engine has great compression. Starts easily and is a very ... moresweet/slow runner. The newer fuel tank is galvanized and has no leaks. A 1922 John Deere Waterloo Boy 3HP Model H Hit & Miss Old Gas E Engine D B
This relatively late John Deere produced 3 HP Model H Waterloo Boy gasoline engine has a serial number of 228.881. Both of the fragile original brass tags are in very nice original condition. According to the site this engine was built in 1922 with production ending in 1923 when John Deere introduced the Model E 1-1/2. 3 and 6 HP gasoline engines. This engine is stuck and is missing the mixer. Igniter, fuel tank, governor cover, connecting rod guard, intake valve spring and cylinder drip oiler. As is often the case, someone a long time ago substituted a spark plug for the original ignition system. This engine is worthy of a restoration so any help in locating these missing parts would be greatly appreciated. The speed control lever still moves but everything else seems to be seized up. The cylinder head has been frozen and broken and arc ... morewelded with nickel rod. The cylinder water jacket and water hopper appear to be fine with no cracks or welds. The very fragile and often broken original rocker arm is fine. The pivot for the rocker arm is broken but both of the pieces are present. One piece is still bolted to the cylinder head while the outer part is attached to the original rocker arm. I have looked very carefully at both flywheels and am very confident that neither one have any cracks in them anywhere. Someone drilled and tapped a pair of holes in the back of the top of the water hopper to attach a pair of strap iron pieces that may have held a gas tank at one time. These straps also attached to the back of the engine base where the connecting rod cover originally attached. I removed the straps because I am sure they are not original to this engine but they are included if the new owner wants them. This engine still has traces of it's original John Deere paint intact and appears to never have been repainted. If you collect John Deere tractors or engines. This is a Top Bolster For the Trussed-Axel Cart. For The 1 1/2& 3 Hp John Deere Type E OR The Waterloo Boy Hit& Miss Gas Engines. It is part number K303 It Measures 12 1/2" Wide. With About A 4" Turn Table, 7/8" Center Mounting Shaft 1/4" Pin Hole. Skid Mounting Can Either Be About 8" Or 9" depending On where you Need the Holes drilled. These are As nice As any original. Only difference being That The originals Had A oval Mounting Hole For the skids. These will be drilled to An 8" Mounting width Which would be suitable for the Waterloo Engines Or The 9" for the 3 Hp John Deere. Hit& Miss Heavy Die Cast Engine Model- Waterloo Boy- Green This is a Hit and Miss Die Cast model(is not an actual working engine) from an auction purchase. Very heavy for the size. Green with"Waterloo Boy" label on both sides. This has a die cast brown base& what appears to be a fuel tank. Measures approx. 3 1/2" long. 2" wide& 2 1/4" tall. This item weighs 10.25 ozs. Original Hit Miss Engine Cart Sled Skids Waterloo Boy? John Deere Antique
Great original piece! Check photos for condition and some green paint. I was told the family that had this. At one time had a Waterloo boy engine. Old WONDER Cement Mixer Waterloo Fuller Johnson Hit Miss Gas Engine Sales Poster
This is a really neat original and probably pretty scarce sales poster from the Construction Machinery Corporation in Waterloo. Iowa, advertising their WONDER cement mixers and other products. It measures about 13 1/2 x 20 1/2 inches and is heavily illustrated. It has some wear and tear from being nearly a century old with wear along the creases and staining but it would still look great in a frame and hanging on your wall or displayed with your engines or equipment. I wouldn't think there's too many of these left to be found in the wild as most of them lost their battle with the wood stove back in the day. The pictures tell the story. You'll like it. Good Luck.

Original JOHN DEERE 1924 Dealer Sales Catalog WATERLOO BOY Tractor Hit Miss WOW!
This is a VERY hard to find original dealer sales manual or full line product catalog from John Deere. It is catalog#4 from 1924 and is in good condition for it's age with very minor wear. Soiling, and some very slight water damage(mostly to the cover.the pages are very good with minor staining) It measures about 8 x 11 and has 260 pages. It shows everything that John Deere offered in the agricultural line for this time including the Waterloo Boy tractor, Type E engines, and also Waterloo engines. It shows plows, planters harrows, grain and corn binders, corn shellers, hay presses, the Dain corn cutter, cement mixers, beet tools, cultivators, elevators, wagons and trucks, rakes, hay loaders, mills, grinders, potatoe equipment, and the list just doesn't end. It is HEAVILY illustrated with great detailed photos and would be a great ... morereference piece for the John Deere collector. It also has several color lithographs in it and some neat scenes of all of the John Deere factories at the time. It would be a fine addition to your advertising library. It has been several years since a good early JD catalog like this has been publicly offered and it will likely be several more before another on is available! The pictures tell the story.
