This is an original valve cover wing nut for a 1 1/2hp or 3-5hp International Harvester type LA or LB gas engine. It is in good condition for it's age. Has perfect threads and is ready to be used on an engine. It would clean up and paint very nicely. These original wing nuts were often replaced with a standard wing nut so if you need an original cast iron one here's your chance. The pictures tell the story. Old IHC LA Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Valve Cover Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler
This is an original valve cover for a 1 1/2- 2 1/2hp International Harvester type LA gas engine. It may fit the 3-5hp engines as well. It measures about 2 3/4 inches deep to go over the head and valves so measure your engine to be sure. It is in good condition for it's age with no dings or dents of any kind. The swinging tab door works as it should. It would clean up and paint very nicely. The only flaw that I've noted is a small"tear" in each side the could easily be welded and blended before painting. These original valve covers are tough to find in any condition and this one just needs a little elbow grease to be perfect. The pictures tell the story. Here is a nice. Hard to find valve cover for a 1 1/2- 2 1/2hp IHC LA and also LB throttle governed engine. It has two rust holes as you can see, but the rest is very solid and nice. International IHC LA or LB 3-5 HP Water Hopper Extension Hit Miss
Very difficult to find International 3-5 HP Water Hopper Extension. Will fit LA or LB. Has a few holes from leaves and muck sitting in the water hopper and the upper cast vent cap has a piece broken out as shown. The hopper is easily repairable by a good auto body shop by cutting out the rust holes and welding in new metal. The cast vent cap is also repairable with some effort to fabricate the missing piece and some brazing in of the new piece. The engine in the picture is NOT for sale nor is the hay baler. I just showed them so you would see it installed on an engine. Don't let this item get away- when is the last time you saw one for sale?

Original IHC International 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 LA LB Hit Miss Tin Hopper Extension
Nice original 1 1/2-2 1/2 horse power International Model LA or LB tin hopper extension. The lip that goes around the inside is slightly rusty. The rest of the tin is solid. This is the only part that I have. I don't have the rubber seal or the clamp that holds the extension on to the engine. This unfortunately won't fit into a flat rate box. It is about 7.5 inches tall. Nice original 1 1/2- 2 1/2 horse power IHC Model"LB" connecting rod and piston with rings in very good condition. The piston is excellent and looks very good. The connecting rod has"27196-D" cast in raised letters. Also has the IHC logo. No cracks. Breaks. Very good Babbitt. The wrist pin seems nice and tight. Not all beat up. Overall a good usable connecting rod and piston. The piston is 3.7 inches long. The diameter of the piston is 3.120 inches and the wrist pin is 3/4 inch in diameter. Up for auction today is a fuel or gas tank for the LA and LB engines. This one is for the smaller 1 1/2- 2 1/2 hp size. Comes with cap. Top is in good shape with just one small ding as seen in the pictures. The bottom does have some holes. Holes along with the rust inside the tank will need to be fixed and cleaned before use. This tank is for those who want to keep the original look tank on their engines. With a little repair you could have a good tank on your engine. NICE hot IHC LA LB magneto 1 1/2 - 2 1/2hp hit & miss gas engine farm L@@K!!!!
You are bidding on a very nice and hot. Magneto for a 1 1/2- 2 1/2hp IHC LA and LB engine. This mag will also work for the 3-5hp but you need to switch the gears. There are two cracks in the cover, but no other issues or damage that I can see. All I have done to this mag is check the spark, which is really nice. Excellent impulse! No corrosion on the body at all, this mag I don't think ever saw the elements. If you need a good hot mag and don't want to pay stupid money for a rebuilt one, you may want to bid on it. NO reserve! International Harvester Original IHC LA LB Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto H1 3-5 HP
Here is a nice magneto for an LA/LB IHC gas engine. The model on case housing is 8551DX! The mag can be used on any size engine. But the gear is probably for the larger size engine(3-5 HP) 3 1/4" diameter. You can switch out drive gear for conversion to smaller HP engines magneto if needed! If you have a bad mag or your mag is missing- this is a nice original mag. Try to remember that these magnetos are also close to 60 years old or more and I try to select the nicer ones! From the start the mag was completely disassembled/ glass bead blasted/ inspected and cleaned. Then clear coated with high temp paint, then base is painted with IH red prior to assembly and baked@ 250 degrees for 40 minutes for durability while completely apart! Then parts in the mag are replaced as needed. The mag impulse was removed and inspected/ cleaned/ lubed(snaps ... morenice) Front and rear bearings cleaned and repacked with high quality grease. Magnet and ignition coil is very strong! The mag has nice points, nice IHC logo coil cover. When I finished the rebuild, I tested the mag and ran it on a tester. It had a real nice hot blue spark. Its is ready for work or play! The mag in the picture is the one you will receive and I do not reuse pictures! Nothing broken. Welded, repaired or in need of repair. Please see the pictures!
