I can see the timming mark clearly through the small window( see photo)It fires very well. It turns clockwise. The impulse drive was adjustable BUT someone has welded it in position so it is nolonger adjustable. see photo) The lag angle stop is still adjustable. I put this magneto on my Case SC( TRACTOR IS RUNNING IN PHOTOS) it worked well. But the timming was slow. I had to turn the magneto as far as the slotted holes would allow to make it work. It was still a little slow. This issue can be corrected by changing the lag angle. If I was going to use the magneto on my Case or Farmall tractor. I would change the lag angle on the magneto from 25 degrees to 15 degrees. Changing the lag angle ... morewould advance the timing and should make the magneto sit centered in the slotted mounting holes. On an Allis Chalmers tractor with 30 degree lag angle I would reset the mag to 20 degrees. This should solve the slow timming issue of the welded adjustment on the impulse coupling. new couplings are avaliable at about $40.00. The buyer can get a new one if he wishes and replace it himself. I will not replace the coupling. Pay to have it replaced or take returns on this magneto. I think I have made it very clear about the timming issue. if you have any questions ASK before you bid. And please ask early so I have time to reply before auction ends. The serial number is a little hard to read it is.966634. The spec number is XH2500. I will retest the magneto after it is sold and make sure everything is working before I ship. Old Sattley Hit Miss Gas Engine Wico EK Magneto Bracket Steam Tractor Oiler NICE
This is an original cast iron magneto bracket for mounting a Wico EK magneto on a Sattley hit and miss or throttling governor gas engine. It is bracket number NF225 and mounts with two holes 1 3/4 inches apart on center. The slot for the push rod is 3/4 inch wide x 1 inch tall. I believe it is for a 2hp engine but may fit other sizes as well. Please measure your engine or consult a parts book to be sure it is correct for your application. it is in perfect condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. The only flaw that I've noted is that the pin holding the advance/retard tab is worn. I'm sure this could be peened and work just fine. These brackets are often broken, repaired, or missing so if you've been looking for one here's your chance. The pictures tell the story. They just don't get much nicer. Good Luck.

This was a dealer supplied authorized replacement for the earlier John Deere Ds with a base mounted Dixie Splitdorf magneto and the C& GP tractor of the late 20’s and early 30’s with the delicate and somewhat troublesome Fairbanks Morse supplied R2 magneto. I originally took this off of a 1930 GP of mine when I(call me crazy… replaced it with one of those original R2 magnetos. Although i t has been sitting roughly 15 years on a shelf. But it still throws a pretty hot, blue spark.

Stover Duro antique stationary gas engine with rare Wico magneto. teens-1920s
this has been on display for several years in the Scrapologist Museum. And now has been replaced with a new purchase. Stover Duro gas antique engine with Wico magneto. The Duro's with the magneto are quite few and far between. Turns over with good compression, weak spark, service needed. I did test the coils and the condenser. Both tested good) nothing broken or repaired. When it was apart the fuel pipe was found it the bottom the the tank. This is what took it out of service. Many of these were used as pump engines, I have also heard that some were sold to National sewing machine to run their equipment. I am sure there were many other uses. No broken fins. No I have not run this engine. it ruins the paint. I will plywood crate it. I will Use Fastenal. They only ship terminal to terminal. You will need to search for the store closest ... moreto you and pick it up there. I am guessing at the vintage at 1915 to 1920. This is one of the most complete I have every seen. Old Original Lauson Alpha Wico EK Magneto Bracket Hit Miss Gas Engine Oiler
This is an original magneto bracket for a Lauson or Alpha hit and miss gas engine. I believe it is for the 1 1/2 and 2 1/2hp engines but measure your engine to be sure. It is part number W124. It bolts in as a replacement for an igniter. It has been repaired in one spot but it was very nicely done and is pretty tough to notice. The overall condition is nice. No other cracks.Breaks or repairs. It mounts to the engine with two 7/16" holes that are 2-3/8" apart on center. The pictures tell the story. Take a look! Good luck.

2 very old farm/ranch engines. Both turn over with good compression. Hooked a wire to the large one and has good spark from the Wico C mag. Haven't tested the smaller one. Nice winter projects to restore. Don't know much about them. Large one has a Stromberg carg and original Wards spark plug. Neat old machines. I can ship these for $10 boxing charge plus USPS or UPS charge. Also can store for a few months if you know someone going through Colorado.
