Old Gould Shapley Muir Hit Miss Gas Engine Cylinder Head Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a very hard to find original cylinder head for a Type K Gould Shapley and Muir gas engine. It is in excellent complete condition and includes the valves. Springs, and butterfly. It is free of any cracks, breaks, or repairs other than one slight crack that is pointed out. This has likely rusted shut over the years but would be easy to repair it from the inside with a little space age adhesive. The valves move freely and they look good as do the seats. There is very little wear on the throttle shaft. The head is part number 2KE131 and mounts to the cylinder on a 3 3/4 inch square bolt pattern. It is about 6 3/4 inches in diameter overall. I'm pretty sure that it is for a 2hp engine but measure your engine to be sure. I believe these late GSM engines were built by Rock Island and the parts may interchange. These heads are often broken ... morebeyond repair or missing so if you need one for any reason here's your chance. They certainly don't turn up very often! The pictures tell the story. This is a rather hard to find original owners manual for an International Harvester Farmall 400 Diesel tractor. It measures about 8 1/2 x 10 3/4 inches and has 106 pages. It has some moderate wear and staining from living in an old farm shop for many years but all of the information is complete and readable. This is a very hard to find original service manual for a Massey Harris 25 tractor. It measures about 6 x 9 inches and has 64 pages. It is in good used condition with minor wear and staining from living an old farm shop for many decades. All of the information it contains is perfectly readable. It covers every aspect of servicing and maintaining this tractor. It would be a great addition to your early tractor reference library especially if you like Massey Harris. It was factory equipment on the 4. 6, 8, 10, and 12hp engines. I believe that it will fit on the 15 and 20 hp engines but the part number would be wrong. It is in great condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. The 1/4 inch pipe threads are in good condition. The plunger moves as it should and is nice and snug in the bore. The check balls are in this pump and it is ready to go to work on an engine. It has a few cosmetic blemishes as can be seen but still looks pretty good and none of the blemishes affects its operation at all. 1800's Steam Engine w Flyball Gov. w(Video Running)
This is a very nice large model of a steam engine. It was built in the 1800's by HW Johnson. The engine has the original paint. Stripping, HW Johnson name and patina. When I received the engine the gov. was shot and I had it rebuilt and repaired. Now the engine runs beautifully and it has the best sound I have ever heard from a engine its size(listen to it in the video) Here is a short video of the engine running on 10psi of air and the compressor is turned off, you might have to copy and paste the link. The measurements are: base 24"x12" the engine is 20"long x 11"tall x 10"wide. The fly wheel is 10" in diameter. There is a crack in the wood holding the flywheel which makes the flywheel seem to wobble but it is just the movement in the wood. Glue should fix it just fine. This is a very unusual original sales brochure for Hercules gas engines. It is a foldable pocket brochure that has been unfolded and laminated sometime in the past to protect it from wear. It measures about 7 x 10 1/4 inches and shows the 1 3/4 Style E. F, and G, connected to different kinds of pumps. It also shows the portable tilting table saw outfit as well as the drag saw. The back of it shows the complete list of nationwide repair parts service stations and it also has a list of"dealers who have large stocks of repairs" I have seen lots of interesting and rare original sales literature but have never seen this particular piece. It is in good condition for its age with the exception of the missing piece in the lower right corner which doesn't affect much more than the eye appeal of the piece. This is a very nice ORIGINAL sales catalog for Gilson hit and miss gas engines. It is catalog G-7 and measures about 6 1/8 x 9 1/4 inches with 32 pages. It shows all of the features and variations of the Gilson engines that were available back in the day. It is in good condition with only minor wear and soiling. It has a slight water stain along the top edge but this in no way affects the information it contains. This is an original early style diesel fuel injector for an International Harvester tractor or power unit. It mounts with two holes 2 3/4 inches apart on center. The barrel is about 1 13/16 inches in diameter. It seems to be in good used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is the original injector used in the MD, WD-6, WD-9, ID-6, ID-9, TD-6, TD-9, UD-6, UD-9, TD-14, TD-18, UD-14, UD-18, and probably others. Do your homework if you're looking for one. This is an original valve cover for a 1 1/2- 2 1/2hp International Harvester type LA gas engine. It may fit the 3-5hp engines as well. It measures about 2 3/4 inches deep to go over the head and valves so measure your engine to be sure. It is in good condition for it's age with no dings or dents of any kind. The swinging tab door works as it should. It would clean up and paint very nicely. The only flaw that I've noted is a small"tear" in each side the could easily be welded and blended before painting. These original valve covers are tough to find in any condition and this one just needs a little elbow grease to be perfect. The pictures tell the story. This is a pretty hard to find original starter for a vintage Ford car or truck. It is in good condition as can be seen with only one small crack in the back cover. I don't believe this will affect its performance. It has not been tested but has come from an old service garage where it has sat on the shelf for many years. It does turn over. I will not guarantee the correctness of the application but the box that it has lived in for decades says that it will fit the 1956-1961 6 and 8 cylinder 12 volt applications. It will fit the Thunderbird except the 430 engine. It will also fit the 1956-60 truck. The 1956-58 Mercury, and the 1956-7 Lincoln. The label also says"Special" on the bottom of it. Here is a real nice original magneto gear for an International Harvester Type M 3hp gas engine. It is part number 9779T and measures about 3 1/8 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch face. It has a 3/8 inch hole for the magneto armature shaft and the keyway is in great shape. It has 36 teeth and they are in great shape. They have no noticeable wear at all. This gear has no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is ready to be put to work on an engine. There are some very minor fatigue cracks in the gear but they are hard to notice and won't cause any problems. Old Fuller Johnson N Hit Miss Gas Engine Ignitor Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler
This is an original ignitor for a Fuller and Johnson hit and miss gas engine. It is part number 2N88A and fits the 1 1/2 through the 12hp engines. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes 2 3/4 inches apart on center. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the tip of the movable shaft by the point. This should be an easy repair. The movable shaft has VERY little wear. The trip parts on the outside end of the movable shaft are missing but these would be pretty easy to make. The spring that's on it is not original it's just to hold the movable shaft from falling out. This would be a perfectly usable ignitor with just a little bit of work so if you need one for a project don't miss it. They don't turn up that often even at swap meets! The pictures tell the story. This is an excellent original Detroit Model G 6 feed mechanical lubricator for an early prairie tractor. Automobile, or hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is missing the cover over the outlets but this shouldn't be real tough to make. The shaft turns freely as it should and I see no reason this lubricator shouldn't work. It has a cast iron body and measures 4 3/8 x 10 inches and is about 5 3/4 inches tall. It is about 16 inches long overall. It mounts with four holes in cast iron bosses on the back of the body on a 2 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch bolt pattern. These original lubricators were used on some of the early prairie type tractors among others and are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one for a project don't ... morelook past this one. This is a gas tank for a hit and miss gas engine. I'm not sure what brand of engine it is for but if you know please educate me. It measures about 2 5/8 x 5 7/8 inches and is about 16 1/8 inches long. It has two 1/2 inch female fittings at two top corners. It has a 1/4 inch female outlet on the bottom about 3 1/4 inches back from the front. The tank seems to be very solid with no rust and I almost think it is a newly made tank. The solder is a bit crude but could easily be dressed down. It looks like someone has put sealer in the tank after it was built and although I haven't tested it. I think it would hold gas. This is a pretty nice original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a Sandwich hit and miss gas engine. It was original equipment on the 6 and 8hp engines. It is bracket number 303K31 and is in great condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the small missing piece around the bottom mounting hole This should be a pretty easy piece to make. It would probably even work the way it is with a little ingenuity. This bracket mounts to the engine with two holes 3 1/2 inches apart on center. This is a real nice original cast iron starting crank for a Galloway hit and miss gas engine. It is part number EA-23 and fits on a 1 1/4 inch crankshaft. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is ready to be used to start an engine! Old Ford Model T Fuel Tank Sediment Bulb Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Oiler
This is an original cast iron sediment bulb for a Ford Model T car. Truck, or Fordson tractor. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is complete with the brass drain valve at the bottom. The shut off valve is stuck but I'm sure with a little heat it would come loose. The threads for the fuel line and the the fuel tank are both in great shape. These cast iron originals are very hard to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one to finish a project or just for a spare on the shelf, here it is. The pictures tell the story. Old Ford Model T Fuel Tank Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Oiler Rat Rod NICE!
This is a pretty nice original fuel tank for a Ford Model T car. I believe it was used from 1913-1920. It is in pretty good condition for it's age but does have a few dents that could removed fairly easily. It has has a dent by the filler hold that needs to be removed and the fitting resoldered. It measures about 10 1/2 inches in diameter and about 28 inches long. It has the all brass sediment bulb on the bottom of it. It came for the estate of an early car collector and hasn't seen the light of day in many years. It would be a great way to complete your restoration project! Reproductions like these complete with the brass bulb are about $220. Old 29-32 GM Chevy Truck Hood Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Rat Rod NICE!!
This is a real nice original hood and side panels for a GM truck. After consulting with a friend that knows much more about vintage vehicles than I do. That is the conclusion we came up with. It should fit a 1929-1932 GM built truck or possibly a car. It has heavier latches on it so he said it's probably for a truck. If someone knows differently please educate me. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has some decent original paint on it and has a pinstripe down the horizontal bead on each side. It came for the estate of an early car collector and hasn't seen the light of day in many years. It would look great on a home built hot rod or it would be an even better way to complete your restoration project! Here is a real nice original cast iron magneto gear for an International Harvester Type M 3hp gas engine. It is part number 9779T and measures about 3 1/8 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch face. It has a 3/8 inch hole for the magneto armature shaft and the keyway is in great shape. It has 36 teeth and they are in great shape. They have no noticeable wear at all. This gear has no cracks. Old United Autosparker Hit Miss Gas Engine Friction Magneto Dynamo Steam HOT!!
This is a real nice and rare United Engine Company rotary low tension magneto/dynamo/generator for an old hit and miss gas engine. I've had many engine dynamos or generators similar to this one but never one like this! This magneto is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. Even the original base is in excellent condition. The bearings have little wear and will last a long time yet. The magnets have excellent magnetic pull and this magneto puts out a hot, fat, juicy spark that is sure to run your engine if it is adjusted properly. It puts out 9 volts with a meter! It mounts with two holes 3 3/4 inches apart on center. It has the original friction wheels on it that functions perfectly. The bearings have no noticeable wear. Last Saturday. Like all weekends in spring. Summer and fall, I left my home early in the AM to go"saleing" to have a little fun and possibly find a few things to sell on Ebay and make a buck or two. I stopped off at a moving sale that had a lot of interesting stuff re asonably priced. Up on the second floor. I spotted an attic hatch up in a stairwell ceiling. As I always do, I asked the homeowner"Have you cleared out the attic? The homeowner answered"I don't know if there's anything in there, but you're welcome to. That's all I needed to hear! By the time she finished that sentence, I was balancing on the handrail s. Pulling off the hatch-cover and drifting off into Saleing Heaven! cue music) The attic was packed with boxes from the 1970's back to the 1930's! There was WWI military stuff. Fire department ... morememorabilia, old car parts, even harness-makers supplies! By the time I left hours later tired, sore and hungry but happy, I looked like Al Jolson singing"Mammy" Well. My"score" is your good fortune! It's going to take weeks to list all this stuff, so check back every week to see what ELSE I found! This item is a GENUINE EARLY 1900's BLA CK LEATHER ANT IQUE STEAM FIRE ENGINE BUCKET SEAT IN VERY GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION! This seat had literally 1/4" of dust on it when I dragged it out of the attic. I dusted it off with a paintbrush for the pix. The seat. With removable cushion. Measures approximately 20" wide at the front base, 19" deep and 11" tall at the back. The cushion measures 15 1/2" wide, 19" deep. About 3 1/2" thick, and is black leather on the top and sides, with an artificial leather on the bottom. The frame of the seat is oak and pine and still rock-solid. The red-painted and pin-striped bucket appears to be made out of some kind of composite material with a wooden edge, is in very good condition with no cracks. This is a very rare c1880s"UNDERGROUND MINE STEAM ENGINE HOIST TEMPERATURE GAUGE" This beautiful solid brass large gauge was manufactured and stamped by the AMERICAN S& B CORP OF BROOKLYN N.Y. It measures 12" tall and I found it underground on a mine steam engine hoist. It measured the incoming water temperature on a water holding tank and is in excellent working condition. The insertion tube on the back will unscrew if you want to hang this gauge on the wall. The front glass and the mercury tube is in excellent conditin and the frame has a beautiful dark brass patina. If you want it to shine new go for it. This is not my forte. so please ask any questions you may have. Old Original Alamo Empire Rock Island Hit Miss Gas Engine Muffler Steam Tractor
This is a super original cast iron muffler for an Alamo. Empire, Rock Island, Cockshutt, or other hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 7 3/4 inches in diameter and about 4 1/4 inches"thick" It has 1 1/4 inch pipe threads. The part numbers are 4074 and 4075. The only flaw that I've noticed is two of the rivets holding the halves together are loose. These could easily be peened a bit and tighten right up. These original mufflers are very hard to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one to complete your authentic restoration, here's your chance. Up for bid is booklet called"Steam Engine Guide" by Prof. P.S. Rose. This is the 4th reprint from 1961. In the foreward of the book it reads"This little book has been compiled from the Threshers school of modern methods" Evidently it has to do with the steam engines required to operate the threshing machines.
