Maytag 92 carb. breather. I have cleaned it up for you to bid on. It looks pretty. I work mostly on the older Model 92s that do not require the Breather. I soaked it in carb. cleaner for 30 min. and sprayed it through and through with canned carb. cleaner. Had a nice flow through. This is a pro built ½ scale Olds engine made from Paul Breisch castings. This engine features a 1 7/8” bore x 2” stroke. 8” dia. Flywheels. The engine itself measures 15” long x 10” wide x 9” high. The display box with the lid on measures 20” long x 11 ¾” wide x 16” tall. It weighs 66 lbs. with the lid on the box. This Breisch casting normally has the letter“B” on both sides of the water jacket. For looks the“B” was removed and the area was smoothed before painting. I have owned this Olds since around 2002 and it has been proudly on display in my living room since then. Prior to the making of the video that I have posted in this ad. This engine had never been run. After admiring it for so many years I just had to hear it run before selling it. I also wanted to make sure it did run properly before listing it for sale. A 1922 John Deere Waterloo Boy 3HP Model H Hit & Miss Old Gas E Engine D B
This relatively late John Deere produced 3 HP Model H Waterloo Boy gasoline engine has a serial number of 228.881. Both of the fragile original brass tags are in very nice original condition. According to the site this engine was built in 1922 with production ending in 1923 when John Deere introduced the Model E 1-1/2. 3 and 6 HP gasoline engines. This engine is stuck and is missing the mixer. Igniter, fuel tank, governor cover, connecting rod guard, intake valve spring and cylinder drip oiler. As is often the case, someone a long time ago substituted a spark plug for the original ignition system. This engine is worthy of a restoration so any help in locating these missing parts would be greatly appreciated. The speed control lever still moves but everything else seems to be seized up. The cylinder head has been frozen and broken and arc ... morewelded with nickel rod. The cylinder water jacket and water hopper appear to be fine with no cracks or welds. The very fragile and often broken original rocker arm is fine. The pivot for the rocker arm is broken but both of the pieces are present. One piece is still bolted to the cylinder head while the outer part is attached to the original rocker arm. I have looked very carefully at both flywheels and am very confident that neither one have any cracks in them anywhere. Someone drilled and tapped a pair of holes in the back of the top of the water hopper to attach a pair of strap iron pieces that may have held a gas tank at one time. These straps also attached to the back of the engine base where the connecting rod cover originally attached. I removed the straps because I am sure they are not original to this engine but they are included if the new owner wants them. This engine still has traces of it's original John Deere paint intact and appears to never have been repainted. If you collect John Deere tractors or engines. Maytag antique gasoline engine model 82 hit and miss! Great Condition!
This listing is for a model 82 Maytag. The engine is in good condition with the exception of some flywheel pitting on the very outside rim. Someone filled in the pitted spot with JB weld and smoothed it out. Other than that the engine is great. It has the original pulley and exhaust flange which are both usually missing. The engine has good compression and spark. No cracks. Breaks, or welds anywhere.

vintage BOSCH AB 33 Trip Flick Magneto hit miss engine Fairbanks Morse Model Z
This is an American Bosch AB33 high tension magneto. As used on the Fairbanks Morse Type Z engines. This magneto is in average condition. The armature is stuck and the points are rusty. Two of the magnet screws are missing. Otherwise the magneto is complete with the point cap, but would need a bit of work. The flick arm is 2-3/4" long from the center of the armature to the tip. Made by Bosch Made in the USA I'm happy to answer any questions. Or to combine any of my other items for postage. Cheques Local buyers. The engine is missing the fuel pump, breather, and mag, the mixer needle valve handle has a chip also. Engine has the original pulley too! Would make for an easy restoration project! Antique Old Briggs & Stratton Engine Model PB Hit Miss Gas Motor Tillotson Carb
This is an antique Briggs and Stratton model PB gasoline engine which was recently discovered during a barn clean- out. This motor is in'as found' condition and has not been cleaned or worked on. It does not run and is being sold for restoration or parts use. It appears to be mostly intact and does turn by hand. The exterior has it's share of dirt and rust and looks to have some cooling fin damage(see pictures) The model tag is attached to the shroud and in good shape. The ignition wire is present but not attached to the old champion spark plug. And the exhaust pipe looks to be half gone. The Tillotson carburetor is intact although it swivels easily on its' mounting. Please study the pictures carefully, as I have little knowledge of these engines. This motor is made of cast iron and is heavy for its size. It weighs in at over ... more65 pounds and when packed in the custom made plywood shipping box, is over 75 pounds to ship. The carburetor is not correct, but it works perfect and will never give you any trouble. I have ran this engine by squirting gas into the carburetor and it runs very good. Hits hard and coasts as long as I've seen a small engine coast. Gas tank is built into the base. If your looking for a cute, true hit and miss flywheel engine, this is it. Original muffler! I can deliver to Portland, IN show for $25 or strap to a pallet and deliver to Fastenal for shipping for $25 as well. Shipping should run $100-$175 depending on where you are. You are bidding on the vintage pumpjack you see in the photos. I found this in a local barn our church group was cleaning out for a fellow parishioner. There are some small cracks on the connecting arms that I’ve pictured. I’m selling this as found. This part of Nebraska is very arid which probably accounts for the lack of rust. just dust, we’ve got a lot of that! The pulley moves easily. I don’t know a lot about this item. RARE Vintage MODEL STEAM ENGINE Old Educational Toy Display Antique Hit & Miss
This neat 1890's to early 1900's era Educational Steam Engine Counter Display or Early Teaching Model was very nicely made of mostly painted cast-iron with nickel-plated brass. Aluminum& steel components along with a solid wood base by the Columbia School Supply Co. Indianapolis Indiana/IN/IND. founded 1895) It measures about 3-5/8 inches wide(the wooden base) by 11-1/2 inches long and is one of the hardest to find old steam engine teaching models. All parts/linkages/etc. move freely and properly including the Piston. When the Flywheel is turned you can see the sliding valve move inside of the visible Valve Chest.pretty cool! I've heard that their early models had a visible glass cylinder to let you see the Piston move inside the glass cylinder but was changed to a solid(aluminum) cylinder in later production due to glass ... morecylinder fogging/scoring& breakage problems. Good used example which has minor wear. Sliding Valve transparent cover(plexiglass) 4 brass hold-down nuts are replacements. Missing Flywheel to Piston Pushrod Linkage. model hit and miss engine (built by an old timer machinist)
I bought this while on vacation in Florida. its runs great. it sets on its own stand/toolbox with 1 drawer under it it has the battery and coil in the box(sealed) Tis engine is headless meaning that the intake and exhaust valves ar in a manifold on the side of the head. it has an incomplete water jacket but it can run indefinitely and not get hot I was into this stuff until my partner in crime(my dad passed away.After that the gas engine shows just wasnt fun for me anymore this can go to somebody else, but it was 1 of my favorites I cant just give it away. a couple of hours and you will have a nice engine. set it on your table at a show and the people will swarm you good luck the flywheels are no more than 6 inches across and overall the engine is no more than 10 inches long I weighs about 20 lbs this was not a cast kit meant to look like ... moresomething else, it was machined from memory and trial and a lot of error
