Vintage Two Bar telephone magneto; brass gear and end cap
This is a vintage two bar telephone magneto. It has a solid brass gear and brass end cap. Gear spins easily. But I do not have the crank. Measures approximately 4-1/2h x4-1/2w x3d. Has two mounting screw holes at about 2-1/4" from either side, spaced about 1-3/4" apart. I do not know if it is complete. It may need contacts, maybe not. I do not know how this magneto worked for sure. It may just need a battery to work. Buying as-is.

Original 1 1/2hp BRASS TAG JOHN DEERE Type E Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Magneto
This is a pretty nice original barn fresh 1 1/2hp John Deere Type E hit and miss gas engine. It is the early brass tag version and has the original serial tag and correct side cover on it. It is unmolested as can be seen. It has some original paint on it and I think there's more to be found under the grease. It turns over nicely and the exhaust valve is stuck open. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except for POSSIBLY a crack in the bottom of the water jacket. It's very hard to tell and it isn't pushed out. It doesn't leak and if in fact it is a crack has probably rusted shut over time. It's very hard to notice. The engine has the factory cast iron belt pulley and muffler on it. The original gas tank looks to be in great shape as well. This should be a pretty straightforward project and ... morewill be a very respectable original engine when it's done. These original brass tag John Deere's don't turn up very often so don't miss it. I can deliver this engine for free to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. I can also ship it quite reasonably through Fastenal. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it's paid for and I accept many forms of payment. vintage ROBERT BOSCH small brass Trip Flick Magneto hit miss engine
This is a small sized German Bosch flick magneto. It is a high tension magneto. I think the model is a Be1f. Although there is no model number stamped on the body. It has a brass base. But has been modified at the bottom. That strap will unscrew easily. The leadout is damaged at the top. Apart from that, the rest of the magneto is complete(except spring) and in good condition. NICE single bar brass Webster magneto & Hercules bracket hit & miss engine L@@K!
You are bidding on a very nice single bar brass Webster magneto. It is missing one spring. And the magnet. I've had probably over 20 magnets the last few years, of course I don't have one now, but they are easy to find at any good size engine swap meet, or here on ebay. The mag is in excellent shape other than that. These single bar brass websters are hard to find, and this one is in great, umolested original shape. Also, I'm throwing in a Hercules/Economy 1 1/2, and 1 3/4hp Webster bracket, 303M1. Somebody has spark plugged it, but all you would need to do it screw a pipe plug into it tight, grind flush, maybe build up the back a bit and machine your holes. NO welds or other damage to the bracket. Very easy hour of work for an amateur machinist, and you'll have a nice bracket, all you need is the stationary and movable electrodes, ... morehard to find them unwelded. You are bidding on one of the least worn Webster mags I have ever owned. As you can see it's just the housing. And endplates. The armature shaft has literally almost no slop in it. If you have a 2 bar pot metal Webster with a bad housing, or worn brass mag, you could do nothing better than to switch all your part onto this mag. Nothing bad to say about what is here, you won't find nicer. Very costly to have worn websters rebuilt, and I'm my opinion this is just as good, or better, no bushings to ever spin or come out and no internal binding. This is one you won't regret buying later. Nice two bar brass Webster low tension magneto hit & miss gas engine farm L@@K!!
You are bidding on a nice. 2 bar brass Webster low tension magneto. It has pot metal endplates which doesn't hurt a thing, and you can switch them back to brass for cheap from many engine parts suppliers. There is a cracked magnet as you can see. The armature is stuck, but I would imagine it's going to be easy to free up, I haven't even attempted it, so it may even turn with a wrench. Brass body websters are not easy to find, and this one needs work, but these mags are almost fool proof, I've had probably a couple hundred now, and only one or two have needed a coil or a charge. If you don't want to pay major bucks for a rebuilt, don't let this slip by! One stud is missing but threads are excellent. 4 new studs wouldn't hurt. Old WILLIAMS Brass 1 1/4" Steam Tractor Engine Throttle Hit Miss Magneto NICE!
This is a real nice original brass steam engine throttle made by thWilliams Company in Cincinnati. Ohio. It is in good used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind and only has minor wrench marks on the hexes. It has 1 1/4 inch pipe threads which are in excellent condition. The lever or handle is about 7 1/2 inches long and has a nice Victorian look to it. Everything works as it should and I believe it is ready to be used on an engine or other project. These original throttles don't turn up very often so if you need one for a project don't miss this one. It would even make a great spare on the shelf for a future project. You are bidding on a nice 2 bar brass Webster magneto. It is missing one spring. Which is only a dollar or two to buy new from many different engine suppliers. All 4 studs are perfect. Front cover is pot metal, but back is brass. You can buy a brass cover for $15-20 if thats important to you. Top magnet is cracked, and armature is stuck. Brass Websters aren't easy to come by or cheap when you do find them. This one probably needs some soaking and tlc to get freed up and working. Old Brass CC Steam Traction Engine TRI COCK Valve Tractor Hit Miss Magneto Oiler
This is a rather hard to find original brass tri cock valve that was used on a steam engine or other piece of machinery. It is marked CC and in good used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know about except that it is missing the stopper pin as pointed out in the last photo. This shoudn't be real hard to remedy. It has 1 inch female pipe threads on the T leg and 3/4 inch female pipe threads on each end of the through part of it and they are all in good condition. The valve seems to work as it should. These valves are quite pricey new and the new ones just don't have the right look to them for period machinery. Old Brass Bosch DU4 CCW Horseless Carriage Magneto Hit Miss Gas Engine HOT!!
This is a real nice original and VERY hard to find Bosch DU4 magneto with COUNTER CLOCKWISE rotation. It has an all brass body and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a 23 tooth drive gear on it an turns over nicely with excellent magnetic pull. It has almost no noticeable wear in the bearings. It has been gone through by a VERY reputable magneto shop and cleaned, recharged, adjusted, and reassembled. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern. It puts out a hot, FAT, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It has one small chip on an ear of the distributor cap which doesn't affect it's performance, only cosmetics. It has the original points cover on it with the stud in it to hook up a ground wire. These early brass bodied magnetos were used on early automobiles ... moreand tractors. The counter clockwise rotation models are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one here's your chance. When they do turn up they usually require several hundred dollars worth of repair work. Not this one! It's ready to be put to work on an engine or put on the shelf as a spare. Original ACCURATE OL IHC MOGUL 8-16 Tractor Magneto Brass Mag Steam Ignitor
This is a very hard to find Accurate OL single cylinder low tension magneto. It was factory equipment on the International Harvester Mogul 8-16 tractor and possibly others. It is an oscillating or trip magneto It is in used. As found condition and will need to be refurbished. It has a brass body which seems to be in good condition except that one of the ears has been tweaked. I think this could be straightened. The armature is stuck from sitting and doesn't move. The original trip bracket for the tractor is still on the armature. I think this magneto may also be used on the IHC Mogul sideshaft gas engines with a different trip on it. These original Mogul magnetos are tough to find in any condition and this seems to be a good starting point! They hardly ever come to market so don't miss your chance on it. The band is original. However it has been repaired. The bearings have almost no play. The magneto has very good spark. I tried it before I removed it from the bracket, which I may be listing later. Has the original studs and nuts for mounting it to the bracket. The mounting pattern for the studs is 2 inches X 2 inches. It has new springs. Everything works and moves as it should. Old LUNKENHEIMER PARAGON #4 Hit Miss Gas Engine Brass Glass Oiler Magneto Steam
This is part of an original Lunkenheimer#4 Paragon oiler for a gas engine or other piece of machinery. It is missing some parts but the pieces that are there are the hardest ones to make! It measures about 2 3/4 inches in diameter and 4 3/4 inches tall overall. It has super original patina as can be seen. The top is stamped with the company name and size. Old WILKINSON Domestic Sandwich Hit Miss Gas Engine Brass Glass Oiler Magneto
This is a very nice original Wilkinson oiler for a hit and miss gas engine. This style was originally used on the Domestic and Sandwich engines as well as others probably. It has a vent tube and a check ball in the base which means it was meant for the cylinder of an engine. It measures about 2 3/4 inches in diameter and 6 3/4 inches tall overall. It has 3/8 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape. There are some light wrench marks on the flats of the base. It has super original patina as can be seen. It will need new gaskets and a new top glass but that's the fun part. The top is stamped W.H. Wilkinson and the size is XB2. It is missing the filler plug but these should be available from the hobby suppliers. It would make a real nice and correct oiler on your engine or a great spare to have in inventory. Original Splitdorf Aero 46C Magneto Brass covers Clean McCormick Deering Tractor
I have for your consideration an Original Splitdorf Aero 46C 4 cylinder tractor magneto. These mags were commonly found on the McCormick Deering 10-20 and others. This mag is amazing original and is loose and free. I have not tested the mag for spark. But rolls through and snaps hard on impulse. The bakelite cap has no defects and all original thumb screws are still present. The brass covers have no cracks and have great patina. Old WICO PR model High Tension Magneto No. 14419.Has a brass cover case. Mostly used on old stationary single cylinder engines. I operated this unit and found it does make a spark to the brass case that I can easily see in daylight. Probably a carefull cleaning of the points and a lube of the moving aramature would boost the spark. It does show that the coil and the condenser is good and the magnet is charged. Nice old Sumter Jr. low tension magneto with brass body and base. This mag is hot and is in nice condition including the bolt holes. There is a chip in the bakelite but has no effect on the functionality of the magneto. Please see second picture. Also. The cover between the magnets that cover the coils is non-original. I made this myself out of high quality brass plate and it is fitted correctly. This magneto has very little wear and is ready to use on your engine. Original ACCURATE R IHC Mogul 6hp Type M Magneto Brass Mag Steam Ignitor NICE!!
This is a very hard to find Accurate R single cylinder low tension magneto. It was factory equipment on the International Harvester 1. 1 3/4, and 2 1/2hp engines. It was also used on the very early 6hp Type M engines and was an optional attachment for the vertical Famous engines, the 2 1/2 and 4hp Famous, and the 1hp Titan and Titan Jr. engines. It is an oscillating or trip magneto It is in used, as found condition and will need some attention before using it. It has a brass body which seems to be in excellent condition except for a slight crack on the inside of one of the mounting holes. This is very minor and will not affect anything. It mounts on a 2 inch wide bolt pattern and the threads in the mounting holes are in perfect condition. It has been completely gone through and has new bushings in both ends. The armature turns over nicely ... morewith excellent magnetic pull and it puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to start and run your engine if it is set up properly. It has a new name band on it but should have an Accurate name band on it to be totally correct. These are available from the hobby suppliers rather inexpensively. These original Mogul magnetos are tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they usually require several hundred dollars worth of repair work! The name band does have a couple cracks in it, but it's still holding together. The only things you could say are missing are two of the spring rollers, and you can buy those brand new for just a couple dollars each. The armature is a little sticky, it probably just needs to be used, and I don't think this mag has been on an engine in many, many years. Studs are all in great shape, and the same length. Here is a Sumter AP magneto. This magneto was used on many different old engines. It has a brass body. It has a good hot spark. One of the magnets has a few cracks in it. For some reason it is very common for these magnets to crack. It will not hurt the operation of the mag. The plaque does have drill holes on the back. The plaque weighs 3 pounds and 10 oz and measures 7" across and 1/2" thick. Here is a very nice Bosch DU4 brass all body magneto. There is no wear that can be felt. All of the mounting holes look good and have perfect threads. It produces a very good spark. There is a very small crack in the distributor cap. I don't think it will hurt anything at all. See the picture where my finger is pointing. Original OTTAWA Log Saw Hit Miss Gas Engine Mixer Brass Carb Steam Magneto NICE!
This is an original cast brass fuel mixer or carburetor for an Ottawa Log Saw gas engine. It's in good used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has 1 inch pipe threads on it and they are in good condition as are the 1/4 inch pipe threads for the fuel line. Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application. The choker and fuel needle move as they should. It may need a bit of cleaning but otherwise should be ready to go to work on an engine. It has a few light wrench marks on it but these could easily be blended if you so choose. These original parts are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets!
