This is a real nice sales catalog for the John Deere 420. 620, and 720 Hi-Crop tractors. It measures about 8x9 inches and has 24 pages including the covers. It covers all of the aspects, features, and specifications of the tractors. It has a page or two devoted to the special sugar cane equipment as well as other specialized equipment for the tractors. It has a neat cover and is in near mint condition. It was reprinted in 1990 and I don't think it has been printed since. Originals are nearly non-existent! It would be a fine addition to your early agricultural literature collection especially if you collect John Deere Hi Crop tractors! It would also look great displayed with your tractor at the shows. I have for you r condideration a JOHN DEERE MODEL E HIT MISS GAS ENGINE IGNITER. The igniter has a very old but nice repair on it. This will not effect the performance of the igniter. With a new coat of paint I believe you wil not even see it as it is finished off nicely. The moveable point was replaced once upon a time as the end of that is brazed as well. The overall condition is pretty good. The shaft is nice and tight and should service you for many years to come. I believe this to fill all 3 sizes of the Model E. The holes are 2 1/2" on center. John Deere E Crank & Flywheels Hit & Miss Engine
Crank. Main gear and set of flywheels for a John Deere 1 1/2 HP model E hit& miss engine. As you can see in the pictures the journals on the crank are in good shape. The only problem is the crank side flywheel that has cracks in three of the spokes. The are narrow enough that I can't seem to get them to show up in the pictures I take. Local pickup only as these weight close to 100 Lbs. Hit Miss Gas Engine Mag 1.5,3&6 HP ,John Deere E 1 1/2 hp
here is a nice old mag that has a 1 1/2 hp gear on it.I stated that it fits the 3s and 6s because it can fit,but it would need a different gear. This mag has the end place bushing showing quite a bit of wear, one may want to replace it, and bush the gear end,or if just a one show a year man, leave it as is. The replaceable end bearing is worse than the gear end. I spun the armature with the gear, and with a wire held to the gear, it still produces a nice spark,so it has the value in my mind. It has a good impulse when turning by hand, but I am sure it would benefit from a fresh charge. Engines with worn bores need more spark, if your engine is worn as such. Hit Miss Gas Engine ,John Deere 6 hp E rear axle
Here is an original rear axel for a 6 hp John Deere. I have also seen these on Waterloo engines. I thought I may have had a pair of cracked wheels some where, but can't say at the moment where they are, they may have went South. This axle had the pipe rusted through, so I cut it off, and blew it out with a torch. it will need the holes ground some, and a new pipe fitted in place. It also had the ear on one side broke off, so I welded it up, the opposite side of the weld, had a casting defect, so I welded it up, while the thing was hot. I guarantee my welds, they will hold. Up for auction is a Clutch Pulley that came off a zc-52 Fairbanks Morse engine. It is in great shape. Im not sure why. But the links are disconnected but all seems to be well. It looks like the clutch pad is good as well. Fits 1-3/8" shaft. It is really heavy. Thats the reason for the high shipping cost. John Deere 3 hp Type E Hit and Miss Engine Block
Up for auction is a 3 hp John Deere type E engine block. This was on a running engine that I parted out because I have to many 3 hp engines already. The block bore is excellent with no pitting at all. I bought the engine from a local collector and he takes great pride as well restoring these old engines. The block was sand blasted and painted with John Deere brand Antique green with decals from Lightning Magneto the best quality John Deere engine parts around. The only thing is the plug was siliconed in place because it had a crack in the threads and that is very common on these old engines when the water froze and cracked the block. The crack was professionally repaired and can't even tell it was fixed. I was told to put or use hydrolic oil in the water hoppers by a long time collector as it will never freeze and crack the block and ... morestill cools the engine. I have done that ever since and highly recommend it as you never have to worry about water freezing. The block will ship USPS and insured. Up for sale is a barn find John Deere hit miss engine. When I got this engine it had a stuck exhaust valve. Took it apart and was surprised how nice the internals were. All springs are in good condition except for the one for the fuel mixture screw. There is an old Crack in casting which doesn't effect the engine. It will need a new gas tank and the mag tested. This would make a good survivor engine or a fun restoration project. There are no visible cracks to the cylinder or water jacket. Located 20 min east of Philadelphia PA. This is a nice JD model E 3hp gas engine on a steel wheeled cart. I am selling the motor for a friend and he said it ran great when it was put into storage a few years ago and shouldn't take much to get it running again. The original gas tank is rusted out and will need a new tank. The guy that I'm selling it for just hooked up a different tank to run it. It measures about 8 x 9 inches with 24 pages and covers all of the specifications and features of the chopper. I believe that this may have been John Deere's first attempt at a forage harvester. This brochure is heavily illustrated many of which are working illustrations of the forage harvester. This would be a fine addition to your early John Deere tractor advertising collection or display especially if you have one of these early forage harvesters. The pictures tell the story. I have the ignitor that has a very good repair. the base has a crack in the back(pic 6) only thing that seems to be missing is the pushrod and magneto even if not pictured I have them. otherwise all gears.Piston,rod,bearings all seem to be in good shape. This is a very hard to find original John Deere plow clevis. It is in used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has the JD cast right into it on both sides. 1 1/2 HP John Deere Hit and Miss Engine on Original Factory Cart
Up for sale is a nice little 1 1/2 HP John Deere hit and miss gas engine. This is a nice complete engine on the original factory cart. The original factory Deere carts are even rarer than the engines! I've sold these carts for $600-$700 before. But this one is in excellent condition and goes with the engine. The serial number is 319964 making it a 1930 model. I don't see any missing or broken pieces on this engine. No repairs that I can see. I also looked and didn't see any freeze cracks. That all being said, this engine is 83 years old and has to be sold as it due to the age. I turned it back and forth a little bit and the engine seems to be nice and smooth and tight(no knocks) but I didn't want to turn it over before the magneto and rocker arm/valves are loosened and oiled. I took this engine out of a shed where it had been ... moresitting for probably 40 years. It is a nice original barn fresh engine that would make an excellent project for someone. It shouldn't take a lot of work to have it up and going. The fuel tank even looks really good from the outside. About the only thing I can see that is worn is the pulley. It has some holes in it from having a belt wrapped around it and being wet, but it shouldn't hurt anything for just being a show piece. Old John Deere Garden Tractor Lawn Mower Round Fenders Hit Miss Gas Engine NICE!
This is a real nice set of original fenders for a"round fender" John Deere garden tractor from the 1960's. They are in excellent original condition with only a few minor dings. It has the original seat pan on it but this has been welded at the bottom corner. These fenders fit on a frame that is 10 3/4 inches wide and may fit many different model tractors. I'm pretty sure they are for a 110 but measure your tractor to be sure. They have nice original paint on them and the original decal. I prefer not to ship these as they are bulky but can deliver them for free to LeSueur. MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year for free. Antique John Deere E Hit Miss Stationary Gasoline Engine - 1928 1-1/2 HP farm
For your consideration. Antique John Deere E 1-1/2 HP stationary gasoline hit miss farm engine on wooden skids I took it mostly apart last fall and cleaned it out and put new oil and gas in it. I tried to fix the gas tank- but it is still leaky. This engine needs an oil pan. Appears to be a very old restoration- had it running last fall- has good compression& has a good mag. The water jacket/hopper appears to have been repaired some time in the past. You will also need a spring for the trip finger. The bearings seem to be good. There is an old weld on the rocker arm(picture 6) Serial number(279549) dates this engine to 1928 according to the information I found online.
