Nice Antique John Deere Type E 3HP Hit Miss Stationary Gas Engine on Cart Truck
This is a very nice original John Deere Type E 3 Horsepower Statinary Hit& Miss Gas Engine from a local collection. The engine was cosmetically restored when the owner purchased it. But he doesnt know what work was done to it internally. We believe every part to be original to the engine and it turns over fine and has good compression. We dont see any chips, cracks, or repairs and the engine seems to be in great original condition. According to the Serial Number 311215 it was manufactured in 1930. The cart or truck is not original John Deere equipment, but is from the same period. Fairbanks Morse or John Deere Engine Clutch Pulley Assembly Hit and Miss
Up for auction is a Clutch Pulley that came off a zc-52 Fairbanks Morse engine. It is in great shape. Im not sure why. But the links are disconnected but all seems to be well. It looks like the clutch pad is good as well. Fits 1-3/8" shaft. It is really heavy. Thats the reason for the high shipping cost. Fairbanks Morse or John Deere Hit and Miss Steam Engine low tension coil
Up for auction is a Low Tension Coil for hit and miss engines i believe. I really dont have experience with these. It came with some other parts i purchased. All i know it that it is tightly wound. It doesnt have corrosion the screws are good and it seems to be in very good shape. Not sure how hot it is but its pretty simple so im sure there cant be much wrong with it. John Deere 3 hp Type E Hit and Miss Engine Block
Up for auction is a 3 hp John Deere type E engine block. This was on a running engine that I parted out because I have to many 3 hp engines already. The block bore is excellent with no pitting at all. I bought the engine from a local collector and he takes great pride as well restoring these old engines. The block was sand blasted and painted with John Deere brand Antique green with decals from Lightning Magneto the best quality John Deere engine parts around. The only thing is the plug was siliconed in place because it had a crack in the threads and that is very common on these old engines when the water froze and cracked the block. The crack was professionally repaired and can't even tell it was fixed. I was told to put or use hydrolic oil in the water hoppers by a long time collector as it will never freeze and crack the block and ... morestill cools the engine. I have done that ever since and highly recommend it as you never have to worry about water freezing. The block will ship USPS and insured. 1944 John Deere Model E 1 ½ HP Hit and Miss Antique Gas Engine
Up for sale is a barn find John Deere hit miss engine. When I got this engine it had a stuck exhaust valve. Took it apart and was surprised how nice the internals were. All springs are in good condition except for the one for the fuel mixture screw. There is an old Crack in casting which doesn't effect the engine. It will need a new gas tank and the mag tested. This would make a good survivor engine or a fun restoration project. There are no visible cracks to the cylinder or water jacket. Located 20 min east of Philadelphia PA. I am selling the motor for a friend and he said it ran great when it was put into storage a few years ago and shouldn't take much to get it running again. I have the ignitor that has a very good repair. the base has a crack in the back(pic 6) only thing that seems to be missing is the pushrod and magneto even if not pictured I have them. otherwise all gears.Piston,rod,bearings all seem to be in good shape. 1 1/2 HP John Deere Hit and Miss Engine on Original Factory Cart
Up for sale is a nice little 1 1/2 HP John Deere hit and miss gas engine. This is a nice complete engine on the original factory cart. The original factory Deere carts are even rarer than the engines! I've sold these carts for $600-$700 before. But this one is in excellent condition and goes with the engine. The serial number is 319964 making it a 1930 model. I don't see any missing or broken pieces on this engine. No repairs that I can see. I also looked and didn't see any freeze cracks. That all being said, this engine is 83 years old and has to be sold as it due to the age. I turned it back and forth a little bit and the engine seems to be nice and smooth and tight(no knocks) but I didn't want to turn it over before the magneto and rocker arm/valves are loosened and oiled. I took this engine out of a shed where it had been ... moresitting for probably 40 years. It is a nice original barn fresh engine that would make an excellent project for someone. It shouldn't take a lot of work to have it up and going. The fuel tank even looks really good from the outside. About the only thing I can see that is worn is the pulley. It has some holes in it from having a belt wrapped around it and being wet, but it shouldn't hurt anything for just being a show piece. Old John Deere Garden Tractor Lawn Mower Round Fenders Hit Miss Gas Engine NICE!
This is a real nice set of original fenders for a"round fender" John Deere garden tractor from the 1960's. They are in excellent original condition with only a few minor dings. It has the original seat pan on it but this has been welded at the bottom corner. These fenders fit on a frame that is 10 3/4 inches wide and may fit many different model tractors. I'm pretty sure they are for a 110 but measure your tractor to be sure. They have nice original paint on them and the original decal. I prefer not to ship these as they are bulky but can deliver them for free to LeSueur. MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year for free. Original John Deere No. 4 Big Horse Drawn Farm Machinery Mower Cast Iron Hub Cap Tractor Hit Miss Gas Engine Industrial. It has the JD logo and lettering"No 4 BIG" and part#Z859H cast on it. The cap is 7 1/2" dia. not counting the 3 mounting bolt holes. No cracks welds or repairs. Could be used to make a muffler cap for a hit miss engine. See Photos! This auction is one hub cap. Four matching John Deere cast iron wheels. They are 12 3/4" diameter with a 1 1/2 tread. The bore is 1 3/16" There are no cracks or repairs, great for your cart project. The grease zerts will need cleaning if you plan on using them.

You are bidding on a very high quality. Scale model of a 1 1/2hp John Deere E hit& miss engine. The engine is in fantastic shape and is mounted on a nice set of trucks. It has great compression and starts right up and will run all day. This is not an easy to build or simple model in any way. Many hours of work went into making one of these. Every part that the full size engine has, so does this one, including everything inside the crankcase. Even the gas tank is the curved tin, like the originals. It's totally complete, even has the muffler and tin pulley. Like any other model, the magneto obviously isn't functional but the detail on it is just incredible. The flywheels measure 6" The side cover even has the brass serial number tag, just like the real thing. Even the needle valve is totally correct to scale of the original. ... moreTake a look at the pictures and I'm sure you will agree, they don't get much better than this. I have seen these ignitor fired JD's advertised for upwards of $4,000. This auction is no reserve and it sells to the highest bidder. The man that owned this, took great pride in all of his models. Nothing too special, but it's great for storing the engine to protect it when not in use. I can deliver this engine for FREE to Portland, Indiana in May or August, as well as Coolspring, PA in June. John Deere Root Vandervoort Triumph Hit Miss Engine Brochure EXTREMELEY RARE
Up for auction is one of the RAREST pieces of John Deere literature EVER produced. This is a sales brochure for John Deere stationary(hit& miss) engines made by the Root VanDervoort Co. At the time Deere did not make their own engines so they had Root Vandervoort make them for Deere. This is in the early 1900's before Deere purchased Waterloo Boy(Yes this piece predates Waterloo Boy's, note: the very early Deere logo) This piece has all of the engines offered through John Deere at the time. This piece has some slight wear but is great considering it is around 100 years old. These absolutely do not come up for sale often. I paid A LOT of money for this piece years ago but was I just was so happy to even find it after looking for years and years. Very nice original 1 1/2 horse power John Deere Model"E" Head. The head has"E93R" cast in raised letters. No cracks. Breaks or repairs. The head has some original paint. Also has the original valves and springs. The valves are nice and have small amount of play in the guides. The needle valve turns and carb also has the choke plate. The choke plate is not original.
