Great John Deere 1 ½ HP Hit and Miss Antique Gas Engine
Up for sale is a John Deere Model E 1.5HP Hit Miss Engine. Serial# 331730 I think it is a 1934 or 1935 year vintage. She s tarts great and runs off of the original magneto. It is a older restoration but still looks great with very little use. I just changed the oil in her so she is ready for farm or to be hooked to an ice cream maker. If you have any?s please ask. Here is a link or her running. It includes the nice oak skids but not the cart. Its in fantastic condition for its age. It also has the crank case breather which is a very nice feature that keep oil leaks to a minimum. The fuel tank is good and makes great power. What you see is what you get. John Deere 4039 diesel engine 4039DF001 motor. Low hours
This John Deere 4039 diesel engine is on a trailer that i purchased. It is a leaf sucking trailer& i was told by the mechanics at the city garage. That the clutch went out, but the engine ran before that happened. The clutch is MIA. The fan blades are bent and it's obvious that the fan ate the radiator. I am scrapping the radiator. You will also get the vickers hydraulic pump, which is mounted to the engine(white) Anyway. I have changed the fuel filter and got fuel through the filter& to the injection pump, but have not had any success getting it from the injection pump to the injectors. It cranks over freely. I will try again when i get more time, but worse case scenerio is, the injection pump may be bad. I forgot to take a photo of the hourmeter, but i will in the next couple days and add it to the photo gallery. I will update ... morewhen i either get it running or cannot get it running. If i cannot get it running. I will lower the price significantly.

Up for Auction is a Nice Igniter For Type E John Deere 1.5. 3, 6 Horse Power Hit Miss Farm Gas Engine I wasn't sure what to check for to see if this part is good or not. But there are no cracks or breaks visible. I checked for continuity and there is continuity when the points are closed and not when open. So I am assuming this is fine. Matched Pair grease cups hit and miss engine fairbanks john deere international
I first thought these were identical. But you can see in the pic that the bottom, just above the threads, is finished a little differently, so not sure if it should be called a matched set or not. A quick word on the meaning of NOS: these are items that have never been used. But they have been lying around for a while. Parts that deteriorate with time may need to be replaced, like shaft seals. Valves may be lightly stuck. The paint may be chipped and it may not quite match the color of the rest of your tractor, anyway, so figure on stripping and painting the part to match your paint job. I will describe any deterioration as best I can for you.
