Old 1877 Crosby Brass Steam Engine Tractor Train Whistle Hit Miss Magneto WOW
This is a rather unique early Crosby brass steam whistle. It measures about 2 1/4 inches in diameter at it's largest point and about 8 1/4 inches long. It is completely made of brass or bronze except for the lever which is cast iron. There are three separate chambers in the top part of the whistle. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of and other than a few dings and minor dents to give it age authenticity. It was made by the Crosby Steam Gage and Valve Company in Boston, Massachusetts. It was patented on January 30, 1877. I'm not sure if the top finial is original or not as it doesn't thread on any further although the threads on the stem and in the nut are in good shape. The valve works as it should. The unfortunate part of this whistle is that it has been cut off just below the valve. I'm sure ... morewith a little time an talent this could be corrected. This is real nice original WEBSTER MAGNETO M1 off of a 1 1/2. 1 3/4,or 2 hp HERCULES or ECONOMY hit and miss engine. It will work on many other engines that use an M1 magneto. This is one of the nicest looking M1 magnetos I have had. Studs are all nice and tight with the original nuts on them. Has the brass band. New springs. Not rusty. This mag is hot and I removed it from a running engine. Mag was starting and running the engine great. I have the bracket listed in another auction. There are n o cracks. Breaks, chips, or welds. This is the small 2 bolt Magneto for the 1 Hp and 1 1/2 Hp Sparta Economy Gas engines.These magneto's are extremely hard to find! This Magneto mount's near the back of the engine between the flywheel and block near the crankshaft. Old Wico AX Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Motor Steam Tractor Ignitor Oiler EK PR
This is a extremely hard to find original Wico AX high tension magneto for a hit and miss gas engine. It is fresh out of an early collectors estate and is untested. The case looks to be pretty good with a few minor blemishes and the leadout looks to be real nice. These AX's are the big brother to the Wico EK magnetos and were a bit earlier. They were made for an extremely short period of time! They were used on some of the Novo. Hercules, Economy, and Domestic engines and possibly a few others. I believe that of the parts to rebuild them are available as they are the same as PR parts. It mounts with two holes 1 1/8 inches apart on center. If you've been looking for one here's your chance. Old Fairbanks Morse J Allis Chalmers Tractor Magneto Hit Miss Engine Steam Oiler
This is an original Fairbanks Morse Type J4B73 four cylinder flange mount magneto for an Allis Chalmers tractor. Power unit, or other application. It is clockwise rotation and the impulse works perfectly. The magneto is fresh out of the estate of an early Allis Chalmers collector. It is untested for spark. It does need a distributor cap as there are a couple issue areas on it but it would probably work the way it is. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs anywhere else on it. It has some orange paint on it but this seems to come off fairly easily. The pictures tell the story. These original magnetos don't turn up that often. Don't miss your chance on it. Good Luck.

Motsinger auto sparker D.C. magneto for ignitor fired engines hit and miss
Very nice old Motsinger D.C. generator auto sparker. Serial number 3410 with Pat. dates feb 8. 1900/ 1903. This generator produces well over 6 volts and is enough to run through a low tension coil to the ignitor to run a hit and miss engine. These were made in Pendleton Indiana by Motsinger, so you started on batteries and then engaged the generator to run the engine thus saving hard to get batteries in the early days. There is some pitting on the back plate of the drive wheel but does not affect the function and the mounting holes are 4 3/4 inches on centers. These generators are getting hard to find in usable condition, being over 100 years old and many have parts missing but this one is complete. I have tested it but is sold as is. Fuller & Johnson Vintage Hit Miss Sationary Gas Engine Magneto Gear
Magneto pinon gear for a Fuller& Johnson engine. This is the old style with the magneto being driven by the cam gear. Fits 2 1/2. 3, 4 and 5hp model N and K engines. This is not magneto brand specific. Accurate. Elkhart, Sumter or Splitdorf they all used this same gear. This gear is in fair condition. The only reason I say this is because a few teeth have moderate pitting where they were meshed with the cam gear. Rest of the teeth are near new with hardly any wear. It's still solid and will work just fine.

Sumter 3-m#16 magneto. Pat date 1915 and the base is pot metal but not broken and the threads look good. It needs a good cleaning but when you spin it and hold the wire against the mag and pull it off it throws a hot spark. It has a 25 tooth gear in great shape. Nice strong homemade magneto magnet charger. Will charge any magnet with north and south poles. May have to make adapter blocks for diffrent magnets. Coils are pretty thick. Makes a magnet very strong with a couple flips of the heavy duty/current switch. Has nice aligator clips for your 12v battery. Connections are good with shrinkwrap. Mounted on old pine plank board. This mag is untested because 1 spring mount is broke and will need replaced. The mag seems to be in good condition. I don't see anything else broke or repaired. I cannot feel any play in the shaft. This is a real nice original Avery Kerosene Tractor watch fob. It measures about 1 1/4 x 1 3/4 inches and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has very nice detail of the 40-80 tractor on the front and the back has an advertising slogan for the company. Old Brass Bosch DU4 Dual Horseless Carriage Magneto Hit Miss Gas Engine HOT!!
This is a real nice original and VERY hard to find Bosch DU4 Dual magneto. It has an all brass body and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is clockwise rotation and turns over nicely with excellent magnetic pull. It has minor wear in the bearings but will run for a very long time yet. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern. It puts out a hot, FAT, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. The only thing it's missing is the points cover which should be pretty easy to find from one of the hobby magneto shops. These DUAL magnetos were used on early autos where the engine was started on battery and then switched over to the magneto. They are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one here's your chance. Old Original Case 4JM Tractor Magneto Mag Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Oiler HOT!!
This is a real nice original Case 4JM four cylinder flange mount magneto for a Case tractor. It is in good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for one small chip on the mounting ring which isn't noticed when it's on a tractor. It is clockwise rotation and turns over nicely with excellent magnetic pull. The impulse works as it should and this magneto puts out a nice, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your tractor if it is set up properly. The distributor cap on it works fine but the center post is a bit worn and will still last a while but could stand to be replaced for longevity. These original Case magnetos are extremely tough to find and they usually require several hundred dollars worth of repair work. Not this one. Old Original Sumter 12 Fairbanks Morse Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Steam HOT!!
This is a real nice original Sumter 12 magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It was factory equipment on the Headless Fairbanks Morse Z engines and also some other Z engines. It could also be used on engines made by other companies. it has the original DJ 142 gear on it for use on the Headless Z. The magneto is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. The base has some minor age cracks but none of these create any problems with it. It turns over nicely with excellent magnetic pull and puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is set up properly. There is very minor wear in the bearings. It mounts with two holes 3 3/4 inches apart on center. The original gear has some minor wear on a few teeth but will work fine the way it is. This magneto has the original leadout ... moretower on it, the magnets charged, and is ready to go to work running an engine. It would even make a great spare on the shelf. This is an old. Original low tension coil for use with an ignitor fired hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It will not work with a spark plug fired engine. It doesn't look that pretty but the main parts are in decent shape and it puts out a HOT, fat, blue spark like someone is welding! I just tested it before I took the pictures. The coating on the wire is in pretty good condition. The iron core is a bit rusted but still works alright. The top slider flap has Pat'd Mar. 15 1887 and the center pin stop holder has Pat'd Dec. 31.89 Near 3 1/4 inches long. Glass bowl in very good condition also, everything slides and works good, needs new gaskets. Threads are good. Old MAGNETO Webster Type K Tri-Polar Oscillator Hit and Miss Engine 2-bar parts
I'm selling this old engine magneto. This is a"2 bar" WEBSTER Tri-Polar magneto. Type K-60, Serial no. 657179. It is an important part that was fixed on an antique"hit and miss" gasoline engine. Barn find. Sold"as is" for parts of restoration. A couple good parts could be saved here. It is stuck. So we can't say if it is"hot" or not. The front bearing plate is cracked/broken; the back bearing plate seems OK. This kind of gray metal alloy was kind of fragile. The copper brass band is missing. The oil cups covers are missing. It has surface rust here and there. As you can see on few pictures below. There were 3 bolts at the bottom. That I took off to take my pictures; they are included in the deal. The 4th bolt hole is damaged& is actually useless, because someone drilled it(all the threads ... moreare gone) This hole has to be repaired if you need the 4th bolt. Original Webster Magneto Bracket Wortington Gas Engine Hit & Miss
Original Wortington Stationary Gas Engine Hit& Miss Cast Iron Webster Magneto Bracket. It has Webster bracket part number 303M68 cast on it. Webster book shows it fits 1 1/2 HP- 2 1/2 HP Wortington engines. This is part of a group of magnetos ignitors and mag brackets from a collector's estate sale. They have been stored inside and are barn fresh as found. This Webster magneto bracket is not stuck and has traces of original paint. Points are very good no ware. No cracks welds or repairs. Old Bosch Type ZAI ED 2F Magneto Motorcycle Hit & Miss Gas Engine
Original Old Bosch Type ZAI ED 2F Magneto Motorcycle Hit& Miss Gas Engine. This is a 2 cylinder magneto missing one of the lead out towers. Hole is plated over. This mag has a 2 3/8" diameter gear. Rotation is counter clock wise looking at the gear end. Mounting bolt holes are on 3 3/8" X 1 7/8" centers and the base plate is brass. Mag turns ok and has good spark. No cracks welds or repairs. Very nice refurbished Webster magneto and igniter bracket. The magneto has fantastic spark. The points are very nice. I believe this will fit Economy and Hercules engines. Old Hart-Parr Gas Prairie Tractor Invoice Hit Miss Engine Magneto Oiler NICE
This is a VERY nice. Fairly rare invoice for the Hart-Parr Company. As you'll notice it says GAS tractors, not OIL. What a great idea to have this framed so it can be preserved for a very long time. As stated in the beginning, it is in very nice condition, in a 10" x 8-1/4" frame. The invoice itself measures 7-1/2" x 5-1/2" Don't take a chance and pass this one up! The pictures tell the story. Up for auction is a used Webster Type M 1 brass body magneto. Will need some work to make functional. Armature turns freely. Two mounting studs are good. 1 is broken and 1 is bent. Coil cover is missing. Springs are missing. Side cover screws are not original. Brass ID band is beat up some, but all there. I combine shipping when possible. Only ship to USA states. A really nice original Henricks Novelty. Indianapolis, Indiana friction drive magneto/dynamo or auto sparker. It spins nicely. Throws a decent spark. Could use to be cleaned inside and re-charged after. I bought a Motsinger for my engine. So I swapped it with the Henricks and I don't need it anymore. It's been on a shelf for 5 years. Time to go. Hit Miss Antique Gas Engine Magneto Magnet Charger Works well.
Old magneto magnet charger. The charger works well. The charger is about 4 inches tall and about 7 inches long. Mounted to a nice heavy 1/2 inch steel plate. Works off of a 12 volt battery. 1 - 1 1/2hp ALAMO, EMPIRE PUSH ROD WEBSTER MAGNETO TRIP GAS ENGINE HIT AND MISS
This is an original complete push rod assembly with complete WEBSTER magneto trip off of a 1hp or 1 1/2hp Alamo. Empire, or Rock Island engine. This whole assembly is in great condition and shows very little wear. All complete and ready to bolt on and use. The rocker part is part number 9957. Everything is really nice and was never rusty at all. One side of the detent catch block has never been used yet. Everything moves and nothing is stuck. You wont find a nicer one. This is a real nice original WEBSTER MAGNETO BRACKET for a 1hp or 1 1/2hp ALAMO. EMPIRE, or ROCK ISLAND engine. Part number 303M51. Nice looking bracket. No cracks, breaks, or welds. Roller and movable both move freely. Clean bracket was never rusty. Original fahnestock clip to hold the magneto wire. I tried a magneto on it and it sparked nice. HERCULES ECONOMY 1 1/2 to 2 hp WEBSTER MAGNETO TRIP GAS ENGINE HIT AND MISS
This is an original PUSH ROD with WEBSTER MAGNETO TRIP FINGER for a 1 1/2. 1 3/4. Or 2 hp HERCULES or ECONOMY hit and miss engine. Complete push rod with return spring. Roller is nice and spins freely but has one small flat spot. Complete webster magneto trip part number 345K30. No cracks, breaks, or welds. Nice looking push rod.
