The only flaw that I've noted is that the pin holding the advance/retard tab is worn. I'm sure this could be peened and work just fine. Antique Gray Hit & miss gas engine Wwebster magneto ignitor bracket 303m26 Rare!
Hello, I have for your consideration is a very rare 1-1/2hp Gray hit& miss gas engine Webster magneto bracket part number 303m26. These brackets are extremely hard to find. I have only seen one other. The bolt spacing is roughly 2-3/8" on center. There are no cracks. Breaks, or welds on it anywhere. It is only missing the spring steel piece for the advance and retard lever. Has a real nice priming cup included with the bracket. The movable shaft seems real nice tight for its age and the points look good too. Everything appears to work as it should and I see no reason why it wouldn't be able to be bolted on with a magneto and be ready for use. Nice original brass body Webster magneto in very good condition. This magneto usually came on the larger hit& miss engines 6 horse power and up. The magneto is in exceptionally nice shape. The band is original. However it has been repaired. The bearings have almost no play. The magneto has very good spark. I tried it before I removed it from the bracket, which I may be listing later. Has the original studs and nuts for mounting it to the bracket. The mounting pattern for the studs is 2 inches X 2 inches. It has new springs. Everything works and moves as it should. Antique Alamo,Rock Island Hit&Miss Webster Magneto&Bracket Old Gas Engine 303K18
Nice original Webster magneto and bracket in very good condition. This magneto came on Alamo. Empire and Rock Island engines. 2,3,4,6,9 and 12 Horse Power according to Wendel's notebook. The bracket is 303K18. The magneto is a double magnet type K 26. The trip finger has been built up with weld and reground. The mag has new springs. It has the original brass band, however it is a little beat up. The pot metal is very nice with no age cracking. The bearings are tight with very little play. It has very good spark. The mounting holes to the engine are about 2 3/4 inches from center to center. Everything works and moves as it should. No cracks, breaks or welds. A nice magneto to complete that old engine. Old FAIRBANKS MORSE RV ZD Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Magneto Steam Tractor Oiler
This is a rather hard to find original Fairbanks Morse RV-1 magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It was used on the Fairbanks Morse ZD and some of the Z engines and could probably be used on several others. It mounts with two holes 3 3/4 inches apart on center. This magneto is stuck and doesn't turn but the pot metal case and distributor cap seems to be in great condition. The back cover has some wear on it but should work fine the way it is. I'm sure with a little elbow grease this could be a nice working mag. These magnetos don't turn up very often and usually the pot metal is in very poor condition. If you've been looking for one here's your chance. The pictures tell the story. You won't be disappointed in any way. Good Luck.

Old 303J51 FIELD BRUNDAGE Hit Miss Gas Engine Webster Magneto Ignitor Steam NICE
This is a rather tough to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a large Field Brundage Wolverine or Sattley hit and miss gas engine. It is bracket number 303J51 and according to the paper that I have fits a 15hp engine but will probably fit others as well. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes 3 inches apart on center. Please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application. This is a large ignitor bracket and takes the JY Webster magneto. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except that it needs a retainer spring to hold the advance/retard lever which are available quite inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. Field Brundage 15 HP Webster Magneto Bracket Hit&Miss Old Gas Engine 303J51
Good original Field& Brundage 15 horse power magneto bracket in good condition. The bracket has the part number"303J51" in raised cast letters. Which according to Wendell's notebook is for a 15 HP. Field& Brundage engine works. Still has some original paint. The adjusting screw is chipped where the screw driver is supposed to go. The movable shaft is tight with very little play. The points are worn, however still work. This bracket is for a Webster magneto and the mounting holes for the mag are 2 13/16 inches center to center x 2 3/16 inches center to center. This bracket is supposed to have a JY Webster magneto. The mounting holes to the engine are 3" from center to center. Everything works and moves as it should. No cracks, breaks or welds. This is a very hard to find original exhaust rocker arm for a Waterloo hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It measures about 5 3/8 inches long and 1 5/8 inches"tall" with a 1/2 inch hole in it and is in excellent used condition. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has some wear on the adjustment bolt and on the other end from the valve but that gives it authenticity. I'm not sure what size engine it is for and it may fit several sizes so please do your homework to make sure it fits your application. This is a rather hard to find original ignitor for a 1 1/2. 3, and 6hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It is in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind on the body or moving parts. It is part number 8959T casted into the body and mounts with two 1/2 inch holes 2 1/2 inches apart on center. Everything moves and functions as it should but it needs a spring and possibly a new mica tube on the stationary electrode. These are available quite inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. The points are in good shape. There is minor wear on the movable shaft. With a little elbow grease this should be a perfect ignitor! These original ignitors hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one don't miss your chance on this one. This is part of an original Lunkenheimer#4 Paragon oiler for a gas engine or other piece of machinery. It is missing some parts but the pieces that are there are the hardest ones to make! It measures about 2 3/4 inches in diameter and 4 3/4 inches tall overall. It has super original patina as can be seen. The top is stamped with the company name and size. Old WILKINSON Domestic Sandwich Hit Miss Gas Engine Brass Glass Oiler Magneto
This is a very nice original Wilkinson oiler for a hit and miss gas engine. This style was originally used on the Domestic and Sandwich engines as well as others probably. It has a vent tube and a check ball in the base which means it was meant for the cylinder of an engine. It measures about 2 3/4 inches in diameter and 6 3/4 inches tall overall. It has 3/8 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape. There are some light wrench marks on the flats of the base. It has super original patina as can be seen. It will need new gaskets and a new top glass but that's the fun part. The top is stamped W.H. Wilkinson and the size is XB2. It is missing the filler plug but these should be available from the hobby suppliers. It would make a real nice and correct oiler on your engine or a great spare to have in inventory. This is an original body for a John Deere or Associated hit and miss gas engine magneto. It is in used condition and has had one end repaired several years ago but it looks like a good job was done. It looks like epoxy was used and it looks like it would work great the way it is. The rest of the body is in excellent condition and shows no signs of deterioration like most of these bodies do. The mounting holes are in good shape. One has perfect threads in it and the other one has threads that aren't perfect but will hold a bolt just fine. This is a real nice original rotary magneto mounting bracket for a Fuller and Johnson hit and miss gas or throttle governed gas engine. It is part number 2N-190. It mounts the the main bearing studs on about a 3 1/4 inch bolt pattern. It will fit a 3hp N engine and probably fits others as well. Please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It looks like a crack in the platform by the part number but this is actually a casting flaw from the factory. Old PICKERING Steam Engine Tractor Governor Drive Pulley Hit Miss Magneto Oiler
This is a rather hard to find original drive pulley for a Pickering or other make of governor. These governors were commonly used on steam engines and some larger gas engines and tractors. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 3 1/2 inches in diameter with a 2 3/4 inch pulley machined into it. The face for the belt is about 2 1/8 inches wide. It is about 3 3/4 inches long overall and has a 5/8 inch hole with a set screw to tighten onto the drive shaft of the governor. These original pulleys are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they aren't that easy to reproduce! This one is ready to go to work. Old NELSON BROTHERS Hit Miss Gas Engine Fuel Mixer Carb Steam Tractor Magneto
This is an extremely hard to find original fuel mixer or carburetor for a Nelson Brothers throttling governor or kerosene engine. It is in excellent original used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except that one of the screws that hold the air damper horn on has been turned off in a hole. This should be a pretty easy fix with just a little patience. The mixer body is part number DA-75. The throttle shaft is nice and tight with very little wear. Both fuel needles are very nice and move as they should. This mixer mounts to a hole in the engine's head. The"horn" that goes into the head measures 1 1/2 inches in diameter. I think this is for about a 4 1/2 or 5hp engine but may fit other sizes as well. Please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application. This is an original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a Worthington or Ingeco hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is bracket number 303M63 and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except that it needs a new return spring and a cotter pin. This should be an easy repair. Other than that it is in near perfect condition. The movable shaft has no wear at all on it and the points look like new. The roller is in good shape but needs to be freed up but everything works as it should. it even has the original priming cup on it. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes about 3 1/2 inches apart on center. The barrel measures 1 13/16 inches in diameter. John Deere Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto with 1 1/2 HP Gear & Cover Nice condition
Here's a nice piece for your John Deere gas engine. This magneto and cover will fit any of the sizes 1 1/2- 3- 6 HP. But the gear is specific to the 1 1/2 HP engine. It even has the original felt oil seal behind the gear! This is a nice complete unit in good condition. The mounting holes are good and the mag turns nice and smooth. No damage or repairs anywhere on this mag that I can see! Many of these engines are missing the mag or have mags with damage. This is a good piece to fix your engine with. It should work with a cleanup and possibly a recharge of the magnets but I haven't tested it. Don't miss out on a really nice piece for your gas engine. Original IHC FAMOUS TITAN MOGUL Clutch Pulley Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto WOW
This is a real nice original cast iron pulley for an International Harvester Famous. Titan, or Mogul hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for two cracks in the spokes right by the hub. I don't think this would hurt anything to use it like this or it would be a great candidate for stitching. The carrier is part number G907 and the pulley measures 24 inches in diameter with a 6 3/4 inch face. It mounts to every spoke of the flywheel on a 7 5/8 inch on center bolt pattern. This pulley should fit the 4, 6, and 10hp Famous, Titan, and Mogul engines. It should fit the 5 and 6hp vertical Famous and Titan's. It should fit the 6 and 10hp M engines. It should also fit the 4 and 6hp Titan Sideshaft engines. Please measure your engine to be sure it works ... morefor your application. Everything is free and works as it should. The handwheel has minor wear and the wood clutch shoes look to have lots of life left in them. These original bigger clutch pulleys are next to impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! This is a very hard to find original cast iron starting crank for a 1 1/2 or 2hp Hercules or Economy hit and miss or throttling governor gas engine. It is in perfect condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is part number 177F and fits on a 1 1/4 inch crankshaft and would certainly work on any engine that it fits on but it came from the factory with a Hercules and Economy engine. The tab that grabs the gib key is in great shape. The spinner on the handle is not stuck. These original cranks are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one here's your chance. Great old original brass Wico EK magneto in very good condition. The mag has nice brass covers. The name plate is aluminum. It also has good spark and the handy stop button. This magneto came on several different models of hit and miss engines. Including. Stover, Witte, Hercules, Economy, Cushman, Nelson Brothers, Lauson and many others. I believe with the small attachment on the trip that this magneto came off of a Cushman Cub. The magneto is in exceptionally nice shape. The top mounting hole in the back has excellent threads, however the bottom hole has most of the threads stripped. Just a few good threads left. Everything works and moves as it should. Old WEBSTER K Magneto Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor BULLDOG Steam Tractor NICE & HOT
This is a real nice original Webster Type K oscillating magneto for a hit and miss gas engine. It has several applications in the gas engine world. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except that it needs two oil cups for the bearings on each side. These are available quite inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers or you may even have some in your parts drawer. It could also use some more cleaning and a new leadout wire but that's the fun part. The original mounting studs are in the holes and the threads are perfect. There is almost no noticeable wear in the armature bearings. The magneto mounts to the ignitor bracket on a 2 inch square bolt pattern. The body is in excellent condition. The magnets have just been recharged. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine ... moreif it is set up properly. The trip finger is in excellent condition with some minor noticeable wear. The original name band on it has some minor blemishes but is definitely the original one. This magneto has the"left-handed" trip finger on it and was used originally on a FAIRBANKS BULLDOG engine where the ignitor trips from the front. This can easily be changed if you so desire. These Webster magnetos with excellent bodies are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so don't miss your chance on it. It would even make a great spare on the shelf. Old 1 1/4" WATERS Steam Engine Tractor Governor Hit Miss Gas Magneto Oiler NICE
This is a very hard to find original Waters 1 1/4 inch governor. These were commonly used on steam engines as well as a few gas engines. It was made by the Waters Governor Company in Boston. Mass. and is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. The drive shaft with the drive pulley on it is spring loaded and has a pin to hold it in a positive position. The hole for the pin is worn a bit and the pin doesn't stay in tightly without a holder but this could easily be remedied with a better, more square hole to collar that holds it in the positive position. It has little noticeable wear on the gears or on the shaft. Everything seems to move as it should. It stands about 24 inches tall overall. The hole pattern on the flanges is 2 5/8 inches square and the hole on each side are 1 1/4 inches in diameter. I ... morewould say that with just a little attention it would be ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare. These original Waters governors are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they usually need a complete rebuild. This is an original SPLITDORF model 30 magneto. Same as a SUMTER 30 or SUMTER JR. Complete mag. Turns and was never stuck. I took the end cover off and it is very clean inside and never any rust. Had a gear on it when I got it which I kept but when you spun the gear by hand it would flash a 12 volt test light pretty bright so its definetly hot. There is some play in the drive end bushing. Threads in the bottom are perfect. Base is in great condition with no signs of ageing or cracking. Has the original brass name band on it Good solid mag with no issues except play in the drive end bushing. Didnt do any cleaning on the outside to leave it original looking. Original WICO EK magneto I just picked up. Tested it on the bench and it sparked every time. All brass covers with stop button. Looks very clean around the bottom and was never rusty. Threaded mounting holes are perfect. Lead out tower looks brand new. Has the normal little dents and dings on the covers you would expect to see but other than that looks like a real nice magneto. This is an original Webster Magneto Bracket for a small Nelson Brothers Little Jumbo. 1 1/2 or 1 3/4hp. Number 303M47. No cracks. Breaks, or welds. Complete and everything works and moves as it should. Points are good and thick yet. Has a brass priming cup on it. Had a mag on it when I got it and it would spark nice and worked great. Old IHC 3hp M Hit Miss Gas Engine Diecast Magneto Gear Ignitor Fired Oiler
This is an original diecast magneto drive gear for a 3hp International Harvester Type M ignitor fired gas engine. It is original IHC part number 9779T. It has a 3/8 inch hole for the magneto armature shaft and the keyway is in great shape. The gear measures about 3 1/8 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch face and has 36 teeth. It is in excellent condition except that it needs one tooth repaired. The tooth is included and with a little space age adhesive and some creativity I'm sure the gear would work just fine. The last two pictures are with the tooth in place. If you need a magneto gear to complete a restoration or just for a spare on the shelf here's one that will work with a little elbow grease. M1 Webster Magneto Igniter 1 1/2 HP Economy Hercules Gas Engine Hit Miss
Here is a very rare piece! This magneto and igniter is for the small Hercules built engines. M1 is for the 1 1/2 HP engines I believe. This is a nice mag and everything on it is in good condition as far as I can see. I haven't tested it. But it looks like it should work with a bit of cleanup. The band on top of the magnets will need straightening out. Points and mag move fine. Don't miss it as there are not enough of these to go around! SUMTER MAGNETO FAIRBANKS MORSE HEADLESS Z GAS ENGINE HIT AND MISS
This is an original SUMTER MAGNETO from a headless Z Fairbanks Mores engine. The pot metal base of the magneto is cracked and broken like many. This is quite common on these magnetos and reproductions are available in aluminum and brass from magneto parts suppliers. The base bolts on with four screws. The rest of the magneto is steel and brass and is fine. Magneto spins over nice and smooth. Gear is in really nice condition. Has good magnetism. The magneto is hot. I attached a 12 volt test light and it would flash the bulb real bright just spinning the gear by hand. I was actually supprised how hot it was. No other cracks. Breaks, or welds. This is an original FAIRBANKS MORSE RV1 Magneto. Really nice looking original magneto. I'm sure its off some type of Fairbanks type Z engine. Mag turns over nice and smooth. It has an impulse which locks up and snaps just as it should. Gear has 35 teeth and is about 3 3/4" diameter. It does spark but its a light spark. Everything on the mag looks super nice and it doesn't look like it spent a day out in the weather. No cracks. Breaks, or welds. Look at the pictures large sized to get a good look at it. Here is a very nice Apple Igniter made by The Dayton Electrical Co of Dayton Ohio. It turns over fine and spins when a 12 volt battery is hooked up to it just as it should. The doesn't seem to be any bearing wear. There is a very tight crack in the door. You might be able to see it in the pictures(see picture with my finger pointing) This is meant to run against a gas engine flywheel and generate power for ignition. While there are many different kinds of these friction mags around I think this is one of the nicer ones. Old EMERSON BRANTINGHAM EB Hit Miss Gas Engine Webster Magneto Ignitor NICE!!
This is a very hard to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for an Emerson Brantingham gas engine. It is bracket number 303K47 and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has some nice original red paint on it yet. There is very little wear on the movable shaft and the points look like new. Everything on it works as it should and it is ready to be used on an engine. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes 2 1/2 inches apart on center. If you need one for a project or a restoration they don't get much nicer than this one. It has been a long time since I've seen one of these for sale and it wasn't as nice as this one. This auction is for a nice original 1 HP IHC Mogul gas engine magneto drive gear. It has a part number of 1879T on it. And measures approx. 3 1/2" in diameter, and has 32 teeth with a 3/8" hole to mount on the IHC or Accurate Engineering R low tension magneto for igniter fired engines. It is in very nice condition with its teeth still very square and not razored and no cracks or repairs. Please see pictures and ask questions if you have them. Payment will be made by paypal. Here is a hard to find. Original Wico EK magneto, pressed brass, armature dust cover. These dust covers almost always got thrown away when the farmer took the magneto off for repairs. I have for auction this push rod and ignitor trip for a Stover stationary hit miss gas engine either 1.5 or 2hp with a ignitor and no magneto. It is in good condition no visible cracks or welds. It also includes the arm that rides on the cam lobe. The rod measures 15.5 inches in length. The bracket or perch does not have any numbers. You are bidding on a hard to find. KW magneto for a 10-20 Titan tractor. The mag and base look to be in great shape, average wear in the armature, impulse works fine. I tested it for spark and didn't get any, I'm sure all it probably needs is a good points filing, I never even took the points cover off. There is no damage or repairs to anything, everything looks very good. Looks to be a fresh off the tractor, magneto and bracket, that I'm sure needs very little to be operational.
