Original Fairbanks& Morse Company Eclipse Pump Jack Hit& Miss Gas Engine. This is a pump jack large drive gear and bracket from an Eclipse FM engine. Large gear is 20 1/4" diameter and has part#VA43 cast on it. One spoke is cracked and the drive on the other side where lift arm goes has been welded. No other cracks welds or repairs. See Photos! HOT Wisconsin Engine Y-79 TJD Magneto Fairbanks Morse FMX2B7E New Holland Baler
Fairbanks Morse X2B7E magneto. Two cylinder. Flange mount. Bears the Wisconsin part number Y-79, fits the TJD, W2-880, and Schramm air compressor VEF4 engines. Excellent shape internally, and no stripped mounting threads. The magneto throws a nice hot spark. The cap is in very good shape with no cracks. I call my magneto rebuilds"refurbished" magnetos. I check these magnetos over completely top to bottom. Everything comes out and everything goes back in only if it matches the specifications. As determined by my Graham Lee magneto tester! New parts are used inside as needed to provide years of service. This magneto is fully repaired, but I do not go through and replace every replaceable item. That's good for you since that takes away sometimes up to 75% of the cost of a magneto repair. I have been doing this for some time, both ... morefor my personal engines and customer engines. I know these old ignition systems. If you are buying this to replace an old magneto. DIESEL ENGINE FOR RR LOCOMOTIVES THE OPPOSED PISTON DESIGN SHOWN IN TRANSPARENT LAYERS This 11" wide by 8-1/2" high advertising booklet has no discenable date in it. But is likely from the late 1940s when Fairbanks-Morse was attempting to sell railroad locomotives powered by its unconventional opposed piston diesel engines. The booklet illustrates the opposed piston design in a series of eight transparent sheets, printed on both sides, showing the different layers of parts and attachments on an engine. As these sheets/pages are turned, successive layers are removed from the engine to reveal its inner structure. The four transparent pages shown below illustrate this procedure. Page 1 shows the entire engine. When this page is turned over. Its back(page 2) shows the reverse view of the ... moregroups of"COVERS" that" CAN BE REMOVED QUICKLY TO GIVE EASY ACCESS TO WORKING PARTS. The facing page 3 shows the engine without those covers, with additional features revealed. Fairbanks Morse Type Z Style D Hit and Miss Engine ZD Throttle Governed Green
Up for sale is a Fairbanks Morse ZD. Type Z Style D, Hit&Miss ZD Throttle Governed Engine, Please read discription and Look at all Pictures as they are a part of the discription. 1944 Fairbanks Morse ZD Type Z Style D Engine is mounted on wood skids and on a Two Man Solid Oak Handtruck, the two wheel cart in pics. is not included, S.N. 860134 is cast into a raised pedistal behind the water hopper, I believe that puts it at around 1944. Last run in October, appprox. 1/2 Hr. run time on new quart oil change, Has no CBWs, just one minor flaw I will mention later. Has Mag Type FM-J1A2, which starts the engine, it also has the No.498607 on the lower edge of the mag. When I purchased this engine it had great compression, but no spark, I cleaned the mag, filed& reset the points, now good spark, great comp. then soaked the carb& check ... morevalve in cleaner and polished the carb throats, also removed the head and cleaned carbon deposits from the end of the piston, the valves and valve seats, and the head surface, sprayed the cyclinder with fogging oil and reinstalled the head, again, great comp. It was rusty& had only approx. 1/3 of the original paint left, we gave it a light blasting, checked for cracks, found none, then gave it 3 coats of primer and 4 coats of quality Hunter Green Paint, the rusty Exhaust Baffle in pics. is basically what the rest of the Engine looked like, the baffle plate has since been glass blasted and painted with Black 1200 degree high temp paint, looks good against the green. In pics. You can see the original paper thin fuel tank was rusted beyond repair, We fabricated a new tank out of 1/16" steel, to the exact dimensions as the original, putting a new drain bung and plug in the same position, using the original mounting straps& the original fuel fill/ check valve fitting, primed and painted it to match the engine, it was also coated with Red Coat Tank Sealant so it will never rust again and has not had fuel in it, before it was finished We put the check valve in a can of gas

This auction is for Fairbanks Morse& Co. 1920 and 1921 Small Catalogs. With no reserve. The catalog have wear, have some rust at the staples, have some small handwriting inside and can be seen in the 10 pictures below. I see items in the book such as pumps, water systems, power heads, feed grinders, washing machines, cutters, saws, light plant, windmills, etc. The catalog 80P is 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" in size is from 1920 and has 8 pages. The catalog 80R is 3" x 5" in size, is from 1921, has handwriting on the front and has 8 pages. The other 2 items have 4 pages. The items can be seen in the 10 pictures below. 1926 ANTIQUE VTG ARCADE CAST IRON FAIRBANKS MORSE HIT & MISS ENGINE PAPERWEIGHT
Here's an old cast iron Fairbanks Morse hit& miss engine made by Arcade. It measures about 3 7/8" long. About 2 1/2" wide and 2" tall. The flywheels spin, however the axle must be slightly bent because they wobble a little bit when turned. It has most of its original paint and just looks cool. You get to take it apart and clean it. The pot metal base has a lot of cracking. And new machined ones are available on eBay. This unit should be used for parts only.
