Old Fairbanks Morse Pioneers Book Hit Miss Gas Engine Windmill Pump Scale NICE!!
This is a very neat original book published in 1945 entitled"Pioneers in Industry. Fairbanks Morse and Company 1830-1945" It measures about 9 x 12 inches and has 160 pages. It is in good condition for its age with some general wear and a loose binding but the inside pages are in excllent condition. It has chapters on scales, windmills, pumps, railroad equipment, gasoline engines, motors, diesel engines and more. It has a second part with chapters on World War II and an overview of the company in 1945. The book is heavily illustrated and has some excellent reading in it! This is a pretty scarce book and would be a fine addition to your early industrial literature collection especially if you like Fairbanks Morse engines, scales, windmills, or machinery in general. Old Fairbanks Morse 6hp Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Ignitor Trip Push Rod Magneto NICE
This is a very hard to find original ignitor trip and push rod for a 6hp Fairbanks Morse Z engine with the early ignitor and rotary magneto setup on it. These were the earliest versions of the Z lineup. This assembly is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except that it needs a compression spring under the ignitor trip finger. This is an item that can be purchased at a local hardware store for less than $1. This push rod measures about 24 inches from the tip to the center of the cam follower roller and is 1/2 inch in diameter. I believe it is for a 6hp engine but measure your engine to be sure. I believe the ignitor trip is the same on the 3hp engines as well. Everything on this assembly moves freely with little wear and is ready to be go to work on an engine. These are often broken, repaired, or ... moremissing so if you need one to finish a restoration or just for a spare on the shelf, here it is. The pictures tell the story. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up as these ignitor trip parts are often the hardest parts to find for a restoration. Don't miss it. Good Luck. Up for bid is a real nice Fairbanks Z 6 hp gas engine with clutch pulley. Engine runs great; no cracks or welds that I've ever found. Has real good compression. The clutch pulley slips, may need an adjustment as it looks like it's backed off all the way. I've never actually used the pulley, I can see that it freewheels when the engine is running. I don't know about the gas tank in the base. I've never put gasoline in it. I've only run it on the small starting reservoir. As you can see it has the original starting crank, but I did not get the crank guard that goes on the back of it. My reserve price is what I've seen the clutch pulley alone go for. It's for pickup only. I do have a forklift so I can put it in a truck or trailer. Look closely at the pictures; this is a real nice engine. Thanks for looking!

Original 3hp Fairbanks Morse Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Starting Crank Steam Tractor
This is an original cast iron starting crank for a Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It fits on a 1 3/4 inch diameter crankshaft and would certainly work on any engine that it fits but it is factory equipment for the 3hp Z engines. The pawl for the flywheel key moves freely. The spring for the pawl is in good condition. The sleeve on the handle moves freely and this crank is ready to go to work starting an engine! These original cranks don't turn up that often and they certainly make a restoration more complete at the shows. They also make starting your engine easier! The pictures tell the story on this one. I believe these were used on the Dishpan Z engines but may have been used on others as well. It is ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare. These oilers are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one for an authentic restoration here's your chance. It would even make a good spare on the shelf. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, ro repairs of any kind. It is ready to be used on an engine. It has been painted at some point but this would be easy to change. These guards hardly ever turn up in the wild or at swap meets and they are rather difficult to reproduce so if you've been looking for one to complete an authentic restoration here's your chance. Old Fairbanks Morse RV4 Allis Chalmers Tractor Magneto Hit Miss Gas Engine HOT!!
This is a real nice original Fairbanks Morse RV4B four cylinder magneto for an antique tractor. These were used on Allis Chalmers tractors as well as many others. It is in excellent condition and has been gone through. Cleaned, and adjusted and puts out a HOT, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It is a flange mount magneto. The magneto is clockwise rotation and the impulse works perfectly. The only flaw I've noted is two VERY minor cracks in one of the leadout towers and this won't even be noticed when the magneto is on the tractor. It also needs a little orange paint removal and it will shine nicely. These magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they usually require several hundred dollars to rebuild. This one is in near perfect shape and needs nothing. Railroad equipment, pumps, hardware, tools, hoist, oilers, valves, tanks, winches, grinders, shellers, dynamos, and the list just doesn't end! A vintage Briggs& Stratton engine, and a vintage Tecumseh Engine. I am not sure of the"running" condition of this motor, but it is not locked up. It ran when it was put into storage, and is unknown how long ago that was. I do have the fuel tank that came with the engine, but i do not know if it is original. It does look to be. Fairbanks Morse magnetos, and coils sell for quite a bit, and this has one of those weird magnetos. Here is a brass nametag from a 3HP Fairbanks Morse engine. It has no cracks. The holes are great, no big dings or deep scratches(there are two scratches towards the bottom, not too deep, but are there, see pictures) but has enough character to prove it is an original, not all shiny void of character like a new one(if they are still being reproduced and a whole lot cheaper! This is a beautiful tag. For a restored engine or barn fresh. It could be polished up very easily if you want it to be, or leave it alone. Old Original Fairbanks Morse Y Diesel Oil Engine Manual Hit Miss Gas Engine WOW
This is a very hard to find and near perfect original owner's manual for a Fairbanks Morse Y oil engine. It is for the 10hp engine but is probably the same for the larger sizes as well. It measures about 6 x 9 inches with 56 pages and is in near perfect condition. It has some very minor soiling and wear but is as close to mint as you could hope to find. It covers all aspects of the engine including erecting. Plumbing, cooling, starting, running, oiling, and also has a nice parts breakdown. It shows the original starting torch and friction clutch pulley along with other accessories. It would be a fine addition to your paper collection especially if you have one of these engines! Old Early 6hp Fairbanks Morse Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Head Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a real nice original cylinder head for an early 6hp Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It is the early style for the engines with an ignitor or plugoscillator ignition. It has been professionally repaired and looks great! The valves have the original springs and intake guard and are nice and tight in the guides and they have been gound. The throttle shaft is nice and tight and the water injection needle works as it should. This head mounts to the cylinder on a 5 inch square bolt pattern. There is one small repair spot by the pushrod guide that could be dressed down a bit if you'd like but I'm sure it would be fine just the way it is. I believe this head is ready to be used on an engine. These original heads for the early engines are pretty tough to find and they are usually broken badly. All of the hard and costly work has been ... moredone on this one! If you need one to replace yours or just would like a spare on the shelf they just don't get much nicer than this one. This engine was built in 1911 I believe. It is amazing it has survived all of the scrap iron drives over the years. with the cast iron muffler and exhaust pipe it weighs almost 7000# I have the muffler and it is included there was no room for the muffler the way I had the engine mounted on the old Diamond T truck.The truck was a good platform for moving the engine in and out of the shop or taking the engine to the county fair. The truck is not included but is for sale separately. It has been stored inside. There are no cracks or welds on the engine. And it is complete with the original paint and the drive clutch. the drive clutch has a repair on it. the fuel pump. Injector and automatic oilier all work. The engine runs smoothly and starts good. I start it with compressed air on jet a fuel. Which is basically kerosene, then switch it over ... moreto#1 diesel. When it is running it is loud and belches a lot of smoke. Will draw a large crowd, make little girls hide behind their mothers,make the mothers squeal and old men laugh. I have replaced the head gaskets for the water jackets and checked the rod bearing clearance. There is no rust anywhere in the engine. I will load the engine on your truck or trailer. Here is an AHM/Tempo Penn Central Fairbanks-Morse C-Liner Diesel Engine in very nice condition. It is black with white lettering and red and white logos. The engine is illuminated has its horns. Front grab irons and NMRA horn-hook couplers front and rear and two traction tires. The engine ran forward and reverse the test track and the light worked. However, it has been in storage for many years so cleaning and lube are recommended. The engine seems a little heavier than other AHM engines and I can see the frame is metal. This engine might have been modified or may be an earlier version that those I've seen. It runs very nicely and looks very good. Please look at the pictures as they are part of this description. Fairbanks Morse Magneto Wisconsin Teledyne V4 Engine SH, Y-97 parts only
Here is another FM magneto. Made for the Wisconsin Teledyne era engines. It has the serial number SH and the part number Y-97 stamped on the ID plate, so it may have been installed on a V4 engine. What you see is what you get, it has the coil, points and condenser, but not tested. So please don't assume they work. The front gears appear in good condition and spin freely. There is NO drive gear in the back. Where it engages in the engine. Missing is also the snap mechanism. This is strictly a parts mag. check out my other sales this week(more mags. Fairbanks Morse Magneto Wisconsin Teledyne Twin Engine AENLD, Y-79-B, working
Here I have a Ignition Magneto made by Fairbanks Morse for a Wisconsin Engine. The mag was removed from a 2 cylinder. I believe a AENLD which was seized up. The green color is due to the fact that the engine was bolted to a Lindsey air compressor. The snap impulse works as designed and it does produce spark on all outlets. Best I can read of the ID plate is the serial number PH and the part number Y-79-B. No cracks and all threads appear in good condition. check out my other sales this week(more mags. I believe this is a Fairbanks Morse Type T pulley. I think it came off a 4 HP but it may fit others I don't know? It may also fit the Model H and maybe 3 HP. I believe the bolt spacing is 7 3/8 C to C. Belt surface is 6 1/4 inches wide. 12 inch diameter. I see no CBWs. Shipping is for the lower 48 only international shipping is more. It weighs 25 pounds. It has a Fairbanks Morse recoil which needs some minor attention as it doesn't retract all the way and it also needs the link between the finger throttle hooked back up. The pieces seem to be there to do it. It turns over nicely with super compression and I'm sure it wouldn't take much to make noise with it! I will remove the bar to make it easier to package for shipping. It has some nice original paint on it and would be a fine addition to your early chainsaw collection. Old Original Fairbanks Morse Y Diesel Oil Engine Starting Torch Hit Miss Tractor
This is an extremely hard to find original starting blow torch for a Fairbanks Morse Y oil engine. It is in good shape for it's age but does need to be gone through before using it. I'm sure it needs new seals on the air pump. It will also need a new burner disc but these should be fairly easy to make. It has Y part numbers on it and stands about 13 inches tall. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs on it that I can find and it has the original wooden handle. These pumps are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one to complete a restoration, here's your chance. The pictures tell the story. You'll like it. Good Luck.

Old Fairbanks Morse Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Gear Steam Tractor Ignitor
Here is a real nice original cast iron magneto gear for a Fairbanks Morse gas engine. It is part number ZB 142 and measures about 3 11/16 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch face. It has a 3/8 inch hole for the magneto armature shaft and the keyway is in great shape. It has 35 teeth and they are in great shape. They have very little noticeable wear if any at all. I believe this gear is for the 3 and 6hp Z engines with a rotary magneto and ignitor ignition. This gear has no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is ready to be put to work on an engine. The gear you receive may not be the one in the photos but it is just as nice as it as I have more than one of these. These originals are getting pretty tough to find. Don't miss it. Good Luck.

Old Fairbanks Morse 3hp Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Exhaust Rocker Arm Steam Tractor
This is an original exhaust rocker arm and stand for a Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the small oil cup on the socket end which would be and easy replacement. It mounts with a 5/8 inch hole and the rocker arm measures about 5 1/2 inches from the center of the valve tab to the center of the push rod socket. The stand has a part number of ZCD41A3 and the rocker arm is ZCA38A. I believe it is for a 3hp Z but measure your engine to be sure. These are often broken or repaired on engines so if you need one for any reason here's your chance. The pictures tell the story. You won't be disappointed in any way. Good Luck.
