Large Detroit Lubricator Hit & Miss Engine Oiler #27 1/2 pipe thread Check Ball
Very Large#27 7 inch tall Brass Detroit Lubricator With Check Ball and vent tube for use on Hit& Miss Engine Overall in good shape with the usual nicks& scratches and wrench marks. There are a couple small chips in the glass. But No Cracks. And it Does Have a Check Ball in it for use as an engine cylinder oiler where blowback will keep other drip oilers from working. It is suitable for a Large Hit and Miss or Throttle Governed Engine or Oil Field Engine, or could also be used as a machine oiler or on a Steam Engine if you just need a large capacity oiler with or without the checkball in it. 1/2 inch pipe thread with 1 3/8 Hex. Which is slightly deformed from a previous owner getting too aggressive with a wrench. The Threads Are Good! I bought this a while back because I thought I wanted a BIG oiler, but I really have nothing big enough to need it myself, so it is now up for sale again. The oiler measures 7 inches tall(with the lever down. probably 7 1/2 with it up) And roughly 3 1/8 inches in diameter on the lid. The glass is 2.940 diameter and almost 3 1/2 inches high. It has the number 27 stamped in the hex, and is lightly stamped DETROIT LUBRICATOR CO. DETROIT MICH around the base of the oiler. The small Massey Harris Type 1 engine setting next to it in the pictures is NOT included in the auction. Nor is the Buffalo Springfield Road Roller in the background. This auction is just for the large engine oiler. Selling AS IS based on pictures and description. As shown in one of the pictures, it is MISSING the screw-in filler cap. I was just going to put a cork in it if I ever used it. I don't know what size or pitch the thread is on the cap. But it looks like the threaded portion is soldered in under the top of the oiler, so it could be swapped for different insert if you can't find a cap to fit it. This is a super original 3/4 inch Gardner governor for a steam engine or tractor. It was made by the Gardner Governor Company in Quincy. Illinois. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It turns nicely and has very little wear. The horizontal shaft has very mild wear but will last a long time. It has the original drive pulley on it and the gears have no noticeable wear on them. The 3/4 inch pipe threads are in great shape. Everything on this governor moves freely. I would say this governor is ready to be put to use! It measures about 13 1/2 inches tall overall. Old IHC Corn Sheller Cast Iron Nubber Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Oiler
This is rather scarce original cast iron"nubber" for and International Harvester corn sheller. It is IHC part number 2285A and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It fits on a 15/16 inch shaft and is used to clean off the ends of the cobs of corn after they come out of the sheller. This gets all of the small kernels of corn that the sheller may miss. It has the original slotted set screw that has some wear but turns freely and is fully functional. It needs some new paint but that's the fun part! These nubbers are almost always missing on shellers and are almost impossible to find in the wild! The pictures tell the story on it. Here is a very nice early brass oiler marked LUNKENHEIMER No 3 FIG. 1301 PARAGON. The cap that slides to fill the oiler has the Pat. date of Apr. 13 1926. These ball check oilers were the top of the line and are still used often o n hit and miss engines. The oiler is in nice as is condition with minor wrench marks and ball check is free. The brass top was partly cleaned at one time and is in great shape with good markings stamped in it. This would clean up well for use on a hit miss/ steam engine or display. SELLING WITH NO RESERVE!

This is a real nice original cast iron flat belt pulley for a Hercules or Economy gas engine. It mounts to every other spoke of the flywheel on a 9 1/2 inch bolt pattern. It is 8 inches in diameter and has a 4 1/2 inch face. It is in perfect condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is ready to be used on an engine. I believe it fits on all the engines 2 1/2 to 12 hp but measure your engine to be sure. These original pulleys are very tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one here's your chance. Old Kingston Brass Tractor Carburetor Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Magneto Oiler
This is a really nice original brass Kingston carburetor for an early tractor or automobile. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts with two holes 2 7/16 inches apart on center. One has threads in it and the other is a through hole. The throat here is 1 3/16 inches in diameter while the intake is 1 3/8 inches in diameter. Everything moves as it should and the shafts are tight enough and very usable. The only blemish I see anywhere on this carburetor is a slight dent in the intake opening which would be easy to remedy. The bowl on it is cast brass like the rest of it which is rather unusual. Another unusual feature is the priming pin. I don't think I've seen another like it. Nice Vertical Stickney Hit Miss Gas Engine Model Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler WOW
This is a real nicely done model of a vertical Stickney"Universal" hit and miss engine. It looks to have been very nicely machined and everything works as it should. It hasn't run in a couple years but has been shown in the recent past. It stands about 18 inches tall and turns over nicely with good compression and I have no doubt it will run with some fresh fuel and a battery and coil. It also needs a cylinder oiler which is available from the model hobby suppliers rather inexpensively. This is a very rare model and I don't think I've ever seen another one for sale although there probably has been. It would be a fine addition to any model collection or Stickney lineup. Old IHC R Type M Mogul Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Steam Tractor Oiler NICE HOT!
This is a real nice original International Harvester Type R rotary magneto. It was standard equipment on the 6hp Type M engines as well as the 1. 1 3/4, and 2 1/2hp Mogul engines. It was also an option on the vertical IHC Famous and Titan engines as well as the 2 1/2 and 4hp horizontal Famous engines. It could probably be made to work on other engines as well. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has the original name band on it. It has minimal wear in the bearings and turns over with great magnetic pull as I just recharged the magnets. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center. The mounting threads in one hole are in perfect condition and the other one is not as good but still holds a bolt ... morejust fine. These original Type R magnetos are rather tough to find especially in this condition so if you need one for a project or just for a spare on the shelf look no further than this one. Here's an item you don't run across every day! It's an original cylinder head for a small Gade hit and miss gas engine. It's in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs and still has most of it's original paint on it. It fits in a 3 1/2 inch cylinder recess and has a number 3 casted into it. The valves move freely and can likely be reused. The head mounts in an irregular pattern.the top three holes are 2 7/8 inches apart on center and the bottom three holes are 3 3/4 inches apart on center. The threads for the spark plug are in great shap. If you've been looking for a head to complete a parts engine or to replace one that's broken or repaired, here's your chance. LARGE MICHIGAN SWING TOP OILER FOR HIT & MISS STATIONARY GAS ENGINE
A fairly large oiler in fairly good shape. It measures approximately 3.375 inches in diameter and the glass is approx. 2.75 inches tall, but besides the top rim being stamped“Michigan lubricator co. Detroit” there is no model number. The brass base is not the original and the upper assembly is just sitting on it, not threaded into it. If you really need a Michigan oiler of this size, this will probably make you happy until you can find a better one

Hi. This is Don. Found this the other day. First time I've seen one up close. Two photos are before I gunked it, I removed the label worried that the gunk could wipe it out. The label seems it will clean up fine, I took my thumbnail over line six at the bottom and made it easily readable, where it looks wiped out on the left side, seems to be some old overspray, and does clean off. I think that label will clean up very well. The flat pulley is 7" dia, up to a 1 1/2" belt. When you spin the pulley it turns the shaft with the crank, when you spin the pulley the other direction, it still turns the other shaft the same way. Just because I gunked this thing, it still needs completely cleaned out inside. I have been letting it sit upside down to drain, but seems to be trapping oil in the top glass tubes. Site glass on the corner looks ... moreokay. The heavy cast pedestal looks specific for a certain machine. The pump weighs 25lbs, and the pedastal is 20lbs. I would ship without it to save cost. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for two of the outer magnets being cracked. This could probably be repaired but doesn't affect it's function at all. It turns over very nicely with very little wear in the bearings and has excellent magnetic pull. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine is it is set up properly. It has a brass base and mounts on a 2 x 3 inch bolt pattern and the mounting threads are perfect. The output porcelain is also in perfect condition. It has an adjustable chain sprocket on it which isn't original but can be removed if you don't need it. These magnetos were used on several higher quality gas engines of the day including ... moreInternational Harvester, John Lauson, Fairbanks Morse, and many others. Antique brass grease cup or oil fitting for Hit or Miss. Steam or early gasoline automobile engine. Overall height 1 5/8" Knurled top opens for lubrication port and then spring action automatically shuts top. These measure 1" across the flats. The thread is 18 TPI. The thread is tapered and measures 0.650" at the bottom. One of the fittings has the numeral"7" stamped on the side. Otherwise there are no markings. Two of the fittings have a couple of bumps on the flats, but overall, they are in very nice shape. There are three fittings in the lot.

Old Ford 8N 2N 9N Tractor Belt Pulley Attachment Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Oiler
This is a rather hard to find original flat belt pulley attachment for a Ford N series tractor. I believe that it fits the 8N. 2N, and 9N tractors. It may fit others as well. It mounts to the tractor on a 4 1/8 inch square bolt pattern. The pulley measures about 8 1/2 inches in diameter with a 6 3/4 inch face. It has some dings and blemishes but should work the way it is. The gearbox itself is in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. I believe this attachment is ready to be bolted to the tractor and used. These pulleys are excellent attachments if you want to saw firewood with a belt driven saw buck. They also are an unusual attachment on a restored tractor at the shows. These attachments with the steel pulley don't turn up that often in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one don't ... moremiss it. The pictures tell the story. Old Antique Michigan Brass Hit Miss Gas Steam Engine Rod Oiler Tractor Magneto
This is a very rare original Michigan connecting rod oiler for an early hit and miss gas engine or steam engine. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 2 1/8 inches in diameter and about 4 1/8 inches tall overall. The glass is in perfect condition. It has 3/8 inch pipe threads which are in great shape. The Michigan name is in the top as can be seen. The only flaw that I've noted is the wrench marks on the mounting hex which shouldn't be noticed all that much when it's on an engine. One of the flats has"2 1/2" stamped into it. This is a very rare rod oiler that certainly doesn't turn up very often so if you need one for your engine restoration or to fill that hole in your brass collection don't pass it up! Old Associated Cast Iron Hit Miss Gas Engine Starting Crank Steam Tractor Oiler
This is a real nice original cast iron starting crank for an Associated hit and miss gas engine. It is part letter AUM and fits on a 1 3/8 inch crankshaft. I believe it is for a Chore Boy but may fit other models as well. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is ready to be used to start an engine! These original cranks are pretty tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they always make a restoration more complete. They also make starting your engine so much easier. Old Detroit Brass Carburetor Dodge Chevy Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Oiler
This is a pretty nice original Detroit brass carburetor for an early car or truck. I believe it was used on Dodge Brothers but may have several other applications as well. It seems to be in pretty good shape with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs. The throttle shaft is stuck and the butterfly is bent but this should be fairly easy to remedy. It is missing the cover on the float chamber. The carburetor has a 1 5/8 inch air intake and a 1 inch opening at the throttle shaft. It mounts with a flange with four holes on a 7/8 x 3 inch rectangular bolt pattern. The mounting body is cast iron but the entire body of the carburetor is brass. This is an original fuel mixer or carburetor for a Hercules or Economy hit and miss gas engine. It is in good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has 3/4 inch pipe threads and I believe it is for a 1 1/2 and possibly a 3hp engine but measure your engine to be sure. It is missing the fuel needle which can be obtained quite inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. The choke plate moves as it should. The pipe nipple in the mixer may need to be replaced as it looks to be bent but this would be pretty easy to do. This is a very hard to find original brass automatic greaser for the connecting rod bearing on a hit and miss gas engine. I'm pretty sure it was factory equipment on the Sparta Economy and early Evansville built Economy and Hercules engines. I've had a couple untouched original engines that both had these greasers on the connecting rod. This one measures about 1 3/16 inches in diameter at its widest and about 2 3/8 inches tall. It has 1/8 inch pipe threads that are in excellent conditon. It has a 00 stamped on a flat of the hex. It is in great condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has some blemishes on the knurling but this could be remedied if you so choose. It measures about 2 3/4 inches in diameter and about 7 inches tall overall. The glass in are both perfect. The bottom brass has 2 dents in it. It is a wonder that the glass is not broken. There are bubbles and waves in the old glass. I cleaned it inside and out. Everything is intact and appears to function as it should. Here is a small Lonergran wine glass or glass bottom oiler. It is in pretty good shape. The bottom drip sight glass is cracked but that is just a normal tube so it is no big deal. The main oil glass is in great shape. 1/4" pipe mounting 2-3/8" diameter 5-1/8" tall with flipper up If you pick this part up at my house 7% sales tax will be added to the purchase price. If it is shipped or delivered out of state then there will be no sales tax. If you have the proper exemptions then also there would be no sales tax.
