Old Jackson Hit Miss Gas Engine Sales Brochure Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler NICE!
This is a really neat and pretty scarce original sales brochure for the Jackson gasoline engines made by the A.W. Straub Company in Chicago. Ilinois. It is in excellent condition and measures about 6 x 9 inches and is a fold open brochure. It shows all of the features of the engines and also has all of the specifications for them. The brochure has a rough edge along the open side but this takes nothing away from the information it contains. I have seen and owned a lot of original sales literature for early engines but I've never seen this particular piece. Jackson paper just doesn't turn up very often. It would be a great addition to your early agriculture literature collection especially if you have a Jackson engine! Catalogs in this condition don't turn up very often so don't miss it. Old American Lubricator 1/3 Pint Hit Miss Gas Engine Oilfield Oiler Steam NICE!!
This is a very hard to find original American Lubricator 1/3 pint oiler. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except that the glass is broken. Replacements are available quite inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. The oiler has both original wood knobs on it. It has 3/8 inch threads that are in excellent condition. There are VERY minor wrench marks on the mounting hex. Everything seems to work as it should. The oiler has very nice original patina and would look great on an original engine! It has a vent tube inside the reservoir which means that it was made to lubricate the cylinder of a gas engine. The oiler stands about 9 1/2 inches tall overall. These 1/3 pint oilers are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off very nicely. The ... morepictures tell the story on this one. The spring on the cap on the top still works. It glass has some minor scratches but no cracks. The treads are still good. Old John Deere E Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Gear Steam Tractor Oiler Brass NICE
This is a nice original cast iron magneto gear for a 1 1/2hp John Deere Type E hit and miss gas engine. It is part number E76R and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. All of the teeth are like new and it almost looks like has never been used. If you need one for a restoration or just for a spare on the shelf, they don't get much nicer than this one. The pictures tell the story. The gear that you receive may not look exactly like the one in the pictures. The part number may be stamped and not raised but it is an authentic, original gear and in perfect condition like the pictured one. Here is a large rod oiler that I am sure is New Old Stock. There are no signs that this oiler has ever been used or had oil in it. I don't know the brand of this oiler. The only marking is the number 45 on of the wrench flats. I think this is the same type of rod oiler that a Woodpecker engine would use. These don't come up for sale everyday. This is exactly the same as the other one I had on here except there is a very small dent where my finger is pointing at in two pictures. New Old Stock 1/2" pipe mounting 6" tall. About 3-1/8" in diameter Rare If you pick this part up at my house 7% sales tax will be added to the purchase price. If it is shipped or delivered out of state then there will be no sales tax. This is a very unusual original sales brochure for Hercules gas engines. It is a foldable pocket brochure that has been unfolded and laminated sometime in the past to protect it from wear. It measures about 7 x 10 1/4 inches and shows the 1 3/4 Style E. F, and G, connected to different kinds of pumps. It also shows the portable tilting table saw outfit as well as the drag saw. The back of it shows the complete list of nationwide repair parts service stations and it also has a list of"dealers who have large stocks of repairs" I have seen lots of interesting and rare original sales literature but have never seen this particular piece. It is in good condition for its age with the exception of the missing piece in the lower right corner which doesn't affect much more than the eye appeal of the piece. If you collect early engine ... moreliterature or Hercules engines or memoribilia this would be a fantastic piece to add to your collection. Old IHC LA Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Valve Cover Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler
This is an original valve cover for a 1 1/2- 2 1/2hp International Harvester type LA gas engine. It may fit the 3-5hp engines as well. It measures about 2 3/4 inches deep to go over the head and valves so measure your engine to be sure. It is in good condition for it's age with no dings or dents of any kind. The swinging tab door works as it should. It would clean up and paint very nicely. The only flaw that I've noted is a small"tear" in each side the could easily be welded and blended before painting. These original valve covers are tough to find in any condition and this one just needs a little elbow grease to be perfect. The pictures tell the story. Here is a real nice original magneto gear for an International Harvester Type M 3hp gas engine. It is part number 9779T and measures about 3 1/8 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch face. It has a 3/8 inch hole for the magneto armature shaft and the keyway is in great shape. It has 36 teeth and they are in great shape. They have no noticeable wear at all. This gear has no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is ready to be put to work on an engine. There are some very minor fatigue cracks in the gear but they are hard to notice and won't cause any problems. Old Fuller Johnson N Hit Miss Gas Engine Ignitor Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler
This is an original ignitor for a Fuller and Johnson hit and miss gas engine. It is part number 2N88A and fits the 1 1/2 through the 12hp engines. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes 2 3/4 inches apart on center. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the tip of the movable shaft by the point. This should be an easy repair. The movable shaft has VERY little wear. The trip parts on the outside end of the movable shaft are missing but these would be pretty easy to make. The spring that's on it is not original it's just to hold the movable shaft from falling out. This would be a perfectly usable ignitor with just a little bit of work so if you need one for a project don't miss it. They don't turn up that often even at swap meets! The pictures tell the story. Old Detroit G Prairie Tractor Steam Era Car Hit Miss Gas Engine Oiler Magneto
This is an excellent original Detroit Model G 6 feed mechanical lubricator for an early prairie tractor. Automobile, or hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is missing the cover over the outlets but this shouldn't be real tough to make. The shaft turns freely as it should and I see no reason this lubricator shouldn't work. It has a cast iron body and measures 4 3/8 x 10 inches and is about 5 3/4 inches tall. It is about 16 inches long overall. It mounts with four holes in cast iron bosses on the back of the body on a 2 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch bolt pattern. These original lubricators were used on some of the early prairie type tractors among others and are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one for a project don't ... morelook past this one. This is a gas tank for a hit and miss gas engine. I'm not sure what brand of engine it is for but if you know please educate me. It measures about 2 5/8 x 5 7/8 inches and is about 16 1/8 inches long. It has two 1/2 inch female fittings at two top corners. It has a 1/4 inch female outlet on the bottom about 3 1/4 inches back from the front. The tank seems to be very solid with no rust and I almost think it is a newly made tank. The solder is a bit crude but could easily be dressed down. It looks like someone has put sealer in the tank after it was built and although I haven't tested it. I think it would hold gas. Old Ford Model T Fuel Tank Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Oiler Rat Rod NICE!
This is a pretty nice original fuel tank for a Ford Model T car. I believe it was used from 1913-1920. It is in pretty good condition for it's age but does have a few dents that could removed fairly easily. It has has a dent by the filler hold that needs to be removed and the fitting resoldered. It measures about 10 1/2 inches in diameter and about 28 inches long. It has the all brass sediment bulb on the bottom of it. It came for the estate of an early car collector and hasn't seen the light of day in many years. It would be a great way to complete your restoration project! Reproductions like these complete with the brass bulb are about $220. These originals don't turn up very often and they look so much better than the reproductions so if you need one don't miss this one. It will likely be a long time before another one ... moreturns up!
