It is in excellent condition with no cracks. ... moreBreaks, or repairs of any kind. It is missing the two oil cups for the bearings but these are available rather inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. It has many applications in the gas engine world like Stover, Hercules, Economy, Sattley, Sandwich, and MANY others. It has been gone through, checked over, and magnets recharged. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It mounts on a 1 1/2 x 2 inch bolt pattern. The mounting threads aren't perfect but they are pretty nice and hold a bolt very well. The trip finger has very little wear on it. There is VERY little wear in the bearings and it will last for many years yet. It has the original brass name band on it. These magnetos don't turn up that often and they usually require several hundred dollars worth of parts or repair. If you're looking for one that needs nothing and is ready to go to work on an engine, here it is. The pictures tell the story. It would even make a great spare on the shelf. Good Luck.

I have the ignitor that has a very good repair. the base has a crack in the back(pic 6) only thing that seems to be missing is the pushrod and magneto even if not pictured I have them. otherwise all gears.Piston,rod,bearings all seem to be in good shape. This is a large volume with 477 pages. A great reference with nice illustrations of several steam engines, Charter gas engine, Fairbanks Morse and a few others. This book measures 7 inches X 9 3/4 inches. There is some wear on the covers and bottom and top of spine. There is also some separation of the binding in a few areas. Brass strap says its a sumter 3-M No.14. Found this in a ranch dump on the bottom of the pile. It was seized up solid. I oiled it and broke it loose and actually got it to spark a few times flipping it around and I do feel some magnet pull but it will obviously need complete overhaul. It is rusty, the base is intact with some chipping and I think I see some threads in one hole and for sure none in the other. For parts or restore. More pics or questions if you need. This is an original box that was used to hold a ignition coil for an early engine. It is designed to use a standard size 6 volt Model T Ford coil. The copper band in excellent condition. The copper contact strips inside the box are in excellents condition. It has all the original thumb nuts and the original porcelain knife switch on the front. Includes the original porcelain Monowatt knife throw switch with a porcelain base. There is a rating cast into the porcelain base that says 30A 125V. It is in excellent condition and works well. The switch base measures 2-1/2" x 1-1/4" x 5/8" The box overall measurements are 5-3/4" x 4-1/4" x 2-3/4 Model T coils measure 5" x 3-3/16 x 2-1/16"

VINTAGE / ANTIQUE MAYTAG MODEL 72 HIT & MISS STATIONARY ENGINE
For bid is a Maytag model 72 hit& miss engine. This engine is complete and in running condition. I worked on it last fall and got it running. Today. I put some gasoline in the tank and it started up with no problem. It runs very smooth. It was running when I took the close up pictures of the flywheel. I could not slow the shutter speed on my camera enough to show it running. There is a weld(braze) on the starter kick pedal as can be seen in a couple of the pictures. The repair was done very well, but nevertheless, it was repaired. This is an underslung type mount. There is a wrench included which is also shown in the pictures. This engine is used and is being sold as/is. Anyone in the 43402 area is welcome to contact me and inspect this engine.

Lauson Antique Gas Stationary Engine - Motor
This 1939. Lauson Built, cast iron motor was sold as a Montgomery/Ward product. The Lauson name is cast into the crankcase, but MW put their name on the ID tag. It starts with one pull and runs very well. No smoke, no misfires. It runs just like it should. I completely restored it and painted it while disassembled. The round gas tank has some small dents that I was unable to remove due to lack of internal access. Mounted on a solid oak board. Great show engine if you belong to a club. Taylor Vacuum Hit and Miss Engine.This is an earlier model. There is a Taylor registry and there are right at 100 engines listed,90 of them have a serial number higher than this one(4 digit see photos) I can find no cracks,breaks or repairs except the rocker shows a braze that is very old and is solid. The cylinder seems good with most of the compression going out the exhaust valve.Nothing is stuck but the valves will need attention.The carburetor is there and so is the needle valve.Looks like all the trip parts for the missing Wico are there. Please ask questions and feel free to call. I can put it on a pallet or take it to Fastenal. I can store it for a month or two and in June I'm driving to Denver by way of Salt Lake City and Reno if that helps anyone.
