Antique Vintage Briggs Model WM Kick Start Washing Machine Engine Motor Runs
NO RESERVE! Up for Auction is a 1938 Briggs Model WM Kick Start Washing Machine Engine. Very nice Original as found condition. Built in September 1938. The WM was the first small L head Engine Briggs made. Primarily used on Washing Machines. This one has the 3 inch clutch pulley, Straight one piece kick pedal, Original muffler pipe fitting, Flywheel is nice with no broken or missing fins. Very good spark and compression. The tank is in very good condition lite surface rust spots inside with only a couple very small dings, the pick up tube works well. It has a Sears Roebuck tag on it and had a Economy decal on the shroud. Starts and runs good. Hard to find this complete and in this condition. Needs a good cleaning, I have not done anything to this engine accept clean the tank and get it running, just needed the points filed and set and it ... morefired right up. I'm including a nicer head as the one on the engine has rust pits in it, does not effect the running just appearance. I was going to restore this but too many projects. NO RESERVE! Up for Auction is a Rare Newton Model 400 0305 025 Aluminum Horizontal Gas Engine. I have been collecting gas engines for many years and this is the first Newton I have found. The Newton Engineering and Manufacturing company bought out all the tooling from Clinton when they went out of business. They shipped it all overseas to Singapore and tried to continue making them under the Newton name. It's not known how many they made but this is one of them. Identicle to the last Clintons made. This would be a great addition to any Clinton collection or just to have as a conversation piece. This engine has spark but I have not tried to get it running. The gas tank is rusty inside and the filler neck and cap are missing. It could be repaired or just find a better replacement Clinton tank. You are buying an Old D T Williams brass oiler Hit Miss Gas Steam Engine Tractor antique vintage This is an original brass oiler made by the DT Williams Company.This oiler would look good on top of a hit and miss gas engine or other piece of machinery*I am not sure the number but it measures the same as a Lunkenheimer#5. It measures about 2 3/4 inches in diameter and about 7 inches tall overall. The glass in are both perfect. The bottom brass has 2 dents in it. It is a wonder that the glass is not broken. There are bubbles and waves in the old glass. I cleaned it inside and out. Everything is intact and appears to function as it should. The wrench hexes are worn from usage and it partially obliterates the Patent date of PAT APPLIED FOR. The 1/2 inch pipe threads are in good shape and ready to be used. Marked D. T. I believe this is a Fairbanks Morse Type T pulley. I think it came off a 4 HP but it may fit others I don't know? It may also fit the Model H and maybe 3 HP. I believe the bolt spacing is 7 3/8 C to C. Belt surface is 6 1/4 inches wide. 12 inch diameter. I see no CBWs. Shipping is for the lower 48 only international shipping is more. It weighs 25 pounds. I do not have a way to run it on steam and my air compressor was too small to run it so I belted it up to an old oliver 77. Antique Cast Iron Gear, Hit and Miss Engine Steam Punk
Here is an old cast iron spike toothed gear. It measures 15 1/2" in diameter and is 3/4" thick. The teeth are about 1 1/2" in depth. And the center hole is 4" in diameter. Antique 2 man fire engine Pump. Made by Lee Howl. original red paint. works well. Came out of a Boston estate sale were the Man collected Fire Dept items. The GR VI and Crown emblem Are for George Rex, King George VI who died in 1951. I don't have any history on the pump. Pump is heavy about 80 pounds so local pick up or I can ship if buyer arranges it.
