Lunkenheimer No.4 Hit and Miss Engine Olier Fig 1300 Sentinel
Offered is a very nice antique engine oiler often used on the old stationary"Hit& Miss" engines. This is a Lunkenheimer No.4 oiler. It stands about 7" tall with the on/off valve flipped up. It was very dirty and greasy so I cleaned it up a bit! It looks like it was painted at one time and there is a little of the original paint left. The upper glass in in good shape but there is a chip along the bottom edge but this will not effect it's function. The lower glass is cracked and will need to be replaced. These don't come up for sale everyday when they are this nice. This is a very large oiler for Hit& Miss Engines or Industrial engines. All parts work great. The top is stamped: Lunkenheimer No 8 Figure 1300 Made in USA Sentinel. Vintage Lunkenheimer Sentinel 5 Hit Miss Steam Engine Oiler Glass is Cracked
Neat old No. 5 Oiler. Approximately 8" long with 3" diameter glass. The glass is cracked and there is some type of junk on the exterior of the glass by the crack. I have seen on ebay replacement glass for this particular oiler if you would like to replace the glass. Engraved into the bottom of one piece are these words: The Lunkenheimer Co Cincinnati O. Sentinel No. 5 Patented Dec. 19. 1899" I have listed a second one of these oilers which has good glass.

And Heavy Oiler, Is Approx 7 1/2 Inches Long X 3 1/4 Inches In Diameter. Oiler Reservoir Glass And Sight Glass Are Original Glass Without Cracks Or Chips. Bottom Mount Is 1/2 Inch Male N.P.T. And Hexes Are In Excellent Shape. Normal Wear and Tear. Some Wrench Marks. Also included is a pipe reducer(see photo) I have not cleaned it. Patina is great– dark copper color. No reserve.
