New old stock, Lunkenheimer#5 Paragon oiler for a hit and miss gas engine. It ... morehas been laying around for decades and has never even had oil in it! It is in perfect condition as can be expected. It measures about 3 1/4 inches in diameter and 7 3/4 inches tall. It has 1/2 inch pipe threads to mount it and they are in great shape. Everything works as it should and it is ready to go to work. It has the original check ball and vent tube in it and was built for the cylinder of an gas engine. The only blemish I noted is that art of the bottom wasn't machined after it was casted. This will not be seen when the oiler is on an engine or in your brass lineup. NOS oilers of any kind don't turn up very often especially a high quality one as a Paragon so don't miss your chance on it. The pictures tell the story. You won't be disappointed in any way. Here is a very nice Lunkenheimer No. 5 Crown Swing Top oiler. This oiler is in pretty good shape as you can see from the pictures. The bottom glass needs gaskets. The main glass has a small chip that will not hurt anything. It is nice an dirty to match your original engine. Number 5 1/2" pipe mounting 7-3/4" tall with. The second of the three is complete but does not have a brass shield. The third on does not have the glass. All of these 3 smaller ones have good 1/4" pipe threads. One of the 2 larger ones is marked American Lubricator. it has 1/4" pipe threads that are good. The other one is not marked and needs a top nut. The largest greaser is 2" diameter. Cast iron with 1/4" pipe thread and stamped Bowen Products Mpls. No 2. It has slight pitting but no wrench marks on the nut. The largest greaser is brass and stamped Lunkenheimer Co. Cin. O. Rex No 6. This has 1/8" pipe thread with no wrench marks on the nut. The third greaser is brass and marked IXL June 28 1887. It has 1/4" pipe thread. The brass top has a spring in the middle, which can be lifted to put oil in and it then snaps shut. This is 2" tall w/o threads and 1" di. and it's in good condition. The last 2 smallest identical steel greasers are marked Lunkenheimer No 000. Both have 1/8" pipe threads with no marks. This is a good job lot. Neat old No. 5 Oiler. Approximately 8" long with 3" diameter glass. The glass is cracked and there is some type of junk on the exterior of the glass by the crack. I have seen on ebay replacement glass for this particular oiler if you would like to replace the glass. Engraved into the bottom of one piece are these words: The Lunkenheimer Co Cincinnati O. And Heavy Oiler, Is Approx 7 1/2 Inches Long X 3 1/4 Inches In Diameter. Oiler Reservoir Glass And Sight Glass Are Original Glass Without Cracks Or Chips. Bottom Mount Is 1/2 Inch Male N.P.T. And Hexes Are In Excellent Shape. Normal Wear and Tear. Some Wrench Marks. Also included is a pipe reducer(see photo) I have not cleaned it. Patina is great– dark copper color. No reserve.
