Old Brass Webster K Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Magneto Steam Tractor Oiler HOT!!
This is a very nice original brass bodied Webster K magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It oscillates very nicely with no noticeable wear in the bearings and has excellent magnetic pull as the magnets have just been recharged. It puts out a HOT, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. There is very little wear on the trip finger and I don't think that this magneto has seen very much use in it's life. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern. It has a brass body and brass bearing plates which is so much nicer than the pot metal bodied magnetos! It has the original oilers on the bearings and the original leadout cover. It has a new leadout wire on it. It is missing the original name band but these are ... moreavailable rather inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. These magnetos are tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and often require several hundred dollars worth of work so if you've been looking for one that needs nothing here it is. Old Powell Hit Miss Gas Engine Brass Fuel Valve Oil Field Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a real nice original old style 3/4 inch Powell gas valve for a hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has mild wear and marks on it from its years of service. It moves as it should and is ready to be used on an engine. It is missing the original handle but these aren't real tough to find. I can also be used without it. The threads are in great shape. This would look good on an old engine and it would even look good as a spare on the shelf. Old John Deere E Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Gear Steam Tractor Oiler Brass NICE
This is a nice original cast iron magneto gear for a 1 1/2hp John Deere Type E hit and miss gas engine. It is part number E76R and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. All of the teeth are like new and it almost looks like has never been used. If you need one for a restoration or just for a spare on the shelf, they don't get much nicer than this one. The pictures tell the story. The gear that you receive may not look exactly like the one in the pictures. The part number may be stamped and not raised but it is an authentic, original gear and in perfect condition like the pictured one. Old Sumter AP Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Brass Magneto Steam Tractor Oiler HOT!!
This is a very rare original Sumter Model AP low tension rotary magneto for a hit and miss gas engine or tractor. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for two of the outer magnets being cracked. This could probably be repaired but doesn't affect it's function at all. It turns over very nicely with very little wear in the bearings and has excellent magnetic pull. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine is it is set up properly. It has a brass base and mounts on a 2 x 3 inch bolt pattern and the mounting threads are perfect. The output porcelain is also in perfect condition. It has an adjustable chain sprocket on it which isn't original but can be removed if you don't need it. Old Antique Michigan Brass Hit Miss Gas Steam Engine Rod Oiler Tractor Magneto
This is a very rare original Michigan connecting rod oiler for an early hit and miss gas engine or steam engine. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 2 1/8 inches in diameter and about 4 1/8 inches tall overall. The glass is in perfect condition. It has 3/8 inch pipe threads which are in great shape. The Michigan name is in the top as can be seen. The only flaw that I've noted is the wrench marks on the mounting hex which shouldn't be noticed all that much when it's on an engine. One of the flats has"2 1/2" stamped into it. This is a very rare rod oiler that certainly doesn't turn up very often so if you need one for your engine restoration or to fill that hole in your brass collection don't pass it up! Up for bids is an antique hit and miss engine. Wizard, Hercules Electric Co. Auto Sparker Magneto. Guys, this is way to cool. This has been sitting in my basement now for over 20 years! I never new it had so much brass! It appears to be complete except for the oil fill hole caps as can be seen in the pictures. The Brass Name Tag! Brass bottom, brass body and even brass balls on the governor! This spins freely by hand. It appears to have a little bit of bearing wear. It even has the often missing friction drive governor and is loose. Buy as is with no returns, but buy with confidence! Wizard Vintage Hit Miss Stationary Engine Brass Low Tension Oscillating Magneto
Nice brass body Wizard type 2T0 magneto made by the Hercules Electric Company. It is all there except for the name band. Springs and rollers. Front and rear bearing plates have been bored to clean. Part of a new armature shaft has been started. It needs finishing and rewinding. Brass body is in great shape, spring arms aren't tweaked and has no stripped bolt or screw holes. This will make a great looking hot and valuable magneto with some effort.

This is a real nice original brass steam whistle. It measures about 1 5/16 inches in diameter and about 6 1/4 inches tall. It is in good condition for it's age with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind but does have some wear and dings from living in an old blacksmith shop for several decades. It has 1/4 inch pipe threads which are in great shape. It has a few very minor wrench marks on it but all in all it's pretty darn nice! It has a very unusual body that I can't say that I've seen before. These small whistles were commonly found on popcorn wagons and other small steam applications and are very tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets! Splitdorf Magneto NO. 30 HOT Hit Miss Gas Engine Fuller&Johnson& others Brass
I have for you r condideration a VERY RARE SPLITDORF MAGNETO NO. 30. This was used on several different applications of gas engines. This particular one can from a Fuller& Johnson Model N 5hp with 30 teeth on the gear. The Magneto is HOT and throws a nice spark. The base is in excellent condition. With nice clean threads in the holes. The holes measure 2" on center. The serial# 16646 are stamped in the alum base. The bake a lite leadout tower is in nice conditon for it's age and has no decay on it, proving it has never been left to the elements. The back plate(gear side) has some wear on the shaft or plate, and may need a bushing someday. The oil cups are not busted off to show you this mag was cared for all it's life. Old IHC 1hp Mogul M Hit Miss Gas Engine Brass Cylinder Oiler Steam Magneto
This is an original cylinder oiler for an International Harvester Mogul or Type M gas engine. It's in excellent condition and only needs some minor cleaning. It has very little wear or wrench marks on the hex and everything seems to work as it should with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs. It needs a new top glass which is available quite inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. It has the original checkball in the base and the 3/8 inch NPT threads look great. It measures about 1 3/4 inches in diameter and about 5 1/8 inches tall and would work on a 1, 1 3/4, or 2 1/2hp Mogul or a 1 1/2 or 3hp M engine. Original Brass Wico EK Magneto Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Oiler HOT!!
This is a real nice original BRASS Wico EK magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It has MANY applications in the gas engine world. It is in excellent condition for it's age with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. The case is in nice condition and not all beat up like a lot of them that you see. A new condenser has just been installed and the magnets have just been recharged. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. This magneto has the STOP button on the front cover which is a nice feature to shut your engine off instead of messing with the needle valve. The roller pin in the bottom of the armature clevis has been replaced with a cotter pin and should be replaced before using the magneto. These magnetos are tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets ... moreand usually require several hundred dollars worth of repair work. Don't miss your chance on this one. This is an original brass and glass oiler for a hit and miss engine. Pump, or other piece of machinery. It was made by the Consolidated Brass Company in Detroit. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks or breaks of any kind. It is a rather large oiler measuring about 3 inches in diameter and 6 3/4 inches tall overall. It is the size of a#5 oiler. Both glasses are good. It has 1/2 inch pipe threads that are in good shape. There are some light wrench marks on the mounting hex but nothing serious. Old Buckeye #1 Brass Hit and Miss Gas Steam Engine Oiler Train Tractor Magneto
This is a very hard to find original#1 brass oiler made by the Buckeye Brass Works in Dayton. Ohio. It's in decent but not perfect condition for being well over 100 years old. It measures about 1 3/4 inches in diameter and about 5 inches tall. Everything works as it should. It is missing two small wood knobs but these would be fun to make on a lathe or should be available at your local hobby supply store. It has 3/8 inch pipe threads that are a little suspect where they start but are good where they need to be and tighten down just fine. This oiler has minor wrench marks and blemishes here and there but still displays pretty nicely. The worst blemishes are the chisel marks on the mounting hex. I think this would be quite easy to remedy but putting it in a chuck and milling a smaller hex on it. It would look just fine then. This is a pretty nice original BRASS bodied Webster Type K oscillating magneto for a hit and miss gas engine. It has several applications in the gas engine world. It is in good used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. The original mounting threads in the brass body are perfect. It has some mild wear in the bearings and will run for a very long time. The rear cover is likely a replacement from back in it's working day. The magneto mounts to the ignitor bracket on a 2 x 2 inch square bolt pattern. The body is in excellent condition and has nice original patina. It would also polish up nicely if you so choose. It also needs a new name band which are available from several of the hobby suppliers rather inexpensively. The magnets have just been recharged. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine ... moreif it is set up properly. The trip finger is in good condition with some mild wear. These brass bodied Webster magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and the brass ones are so much nicer than the pot metal ones so don't miss your chance on it. Original BRASS SIMMS SU4S Car Truck Tractor Magneto Mag Hit Miss Engine HOT!
This is a real nice original Simms SU4S brass four cylinder magneto for an early car. Truck, tractor, or motorcycle. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the distributor cap which has some issues but does work. It is missing the porcelain bulb on the inside of the magnets that holds the spark tube but still works fine the way it is. It is a base mount magneto and mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern. The mounting threads are in perfect condition. This magneto is clockwise rotation and turns over nicely with excellent magnetic pull. There is no noticeable wear in the bearings. The housing and base are both in excellent condition! The points housing and advance/retard is brass and would polish up very nicely. This magneto puts out a hot, FAT, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it ... moreis set up properly. The chain sprocket on it has 14 teeth and I suspect this originally came off of an early motorcycle. This sprocket can easily be changed. Other than the distributor cap and a few smaller parts it's ready to go to work on a tractor, car, truck, motorcycle, or on the shelf for a spare. These magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and usually require several hundred dollars worth of repair work! Not this one. The pictures tell the story. Original Lonergan Hit Miss Antique Gas Steam Engine Motor Oilers Brass Magneto
This is a matching set of 3 original brass Lonergan oilers for a hit and miss gas or steam engine. They all have vent tubes so their original application was for the cylinder of a gas engine. They are rather unusual oilers and I'm not sure that I've ever seen any like them. They are all missing the glasses and are about the size of a#4 oiler. They are about 6 1/2 inches tall overall. None of them are in perfect condition but I think with a little effort you could make two decent oilers out of the three and have some parts left over. They all have 1/2 inch pipe threads on their bases. Two of them have the original filler plugs. They are all marked Lonergan on the tops. Take a look at the pictures and decide if you like them. Original MICHIGAN Brass Steam Engine Pump Oiler Hit Miss Gas Tractor Magneto WOW
This is a really nice original Michigan pump oiler for a steam engine or other piece of equipment. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and just needs a little cleaning. It retains most of its nickel plating and has the original wooden knob on it. It is about a#3 or#4 size and the glass is good. Everything seems to work as it should. It stands about 9 inches tall overall and has 3/8 pipe threads that are in great shape. The only real blemish that I've noted is some wrench marks on the flats of the mounting hex. After some cleaning and a pair of new gaskets which are fun to make, this oiler will be ready to go to work on a steam engine or on your display shelf. Old Brass CC Steam Traction Engine TRI COCK Valve Tractor Hit Miss Magneto Oiler
This is a rather hard to find original brass tri cock valve that was used on a steam engine or other piece of machinery. It is marked CC and in good used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know about except that it is missing the stopper pin as pointed out in the last photo. This shoudn't be real hard to remedy. It has 1 inch female pipe threads on the T leg and 3/4 inch female pipe threads on each end of the through part of it and they are all in good condition. The valve seems to work as it should. These valves are quite pricey new and the new ones just don't have the right look to them for period machinery. Old Brass Bosch DU4 CCW Horseless Carriage Magneto Hit Miss Gas Engine HOT!!
This is a real nice original and VERY hard to find Bosch DU4 magneto with COUNTER CLOCKWISE rotation. It has an all brass body and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a 23 tooth drive gear on it an turns over nicely with excellent magnetic pull. It has almost no noticeable wear in the bearings. It has been gone through by a VERY reputable magneto shop and cleaned, recharged, adjusted, and reassembled. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern. It puts out a hot, FAT, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It has one small chip on an ear of the distributor cap which doesn't affect it's performance, only cosmetics. It has the original points cover on it with the stud in it to hook up a ground wire. These early brass bodied magnetos were used on early automobiles ... moreand tractors. The counter clockwise rotation models are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one here's your chance. Original ACCURATE OL IHC MOGUL 8-16 Tractor Magneto Brass Mag Steam Ignitor
This is a very hard to find Accurate OL single cylinder low tension magneto. It was factory equipment on the International Harvester Mogul 8-16 tractor and possibly others. It is an oscillating or trip magneto It is in used. As found condition and will need to be refurbished. It has a brass body which seems to be in good condition except that one of the ears has been tweaked. I think this could be straightened. The armature is stuck from sitting and doesn't move. The original trip bracket for the tractor is still on the armature. I think this magneto may also be used on the IHC Mogul sideshaft gas engines with a different trip on it. These original Mogul magnetos are tough to find in any condition and this seems to be a good starting point! They hardly ever come to market so don't miss your chance on it. Old WILKINSON Domestic Sandwich Hit Miss Gas Engine Brass Glass Oiler Magneto
This is a very nice original Wilkinson oiler for a hit and miss gas engine. This style was originally used on the Domestic and Sandwich engines as well as others probably. It has a vent tube and a check ball in the base which means it was meant for the cylinder of an engine. It measures about 2 3/4 inches in diameter and 6 3/4 inches tall overall. It has 3/8 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape. There are some light wrench marks on the flats of the base. It has super original patina as can be seen. It will need new gaskets and a new top glass but that's the fun part. The top is stamped W.H. Wilkinson and the size is XB2. It is missing the filler plug but these should be available from the hobby suppliers. It would make a real nice and correct oiler on your engine or a great spare to have in inventory. I operated this unit and found it does make a spark to the brass case that I can easily see in daylight. Probably a carefull cleaning of the points and a lube of the moving aramature would boost the spark. It does show that the coil and the condenser is good and the magnet is charged. Nice old Sumter Jr. low tension magneto with brass body and base. This mag is hot and is in nice condition including the bolt holes. There is a chip in the bakelite but has no effect on the functionality of the magneto. Please see second picture. Also. The cover between the magnets that cover the coils is non-original. I made this myself out of high quality brass plate and it is fitted correctly. This magneto has very little wear and is ready to use on your engine. Here is a Sumter AP magneto. This magneto was used on many different old engines. It has a brass body. It has a good hot spark. One of the magnets has a few cracks in it. For some reason it is very common for these magnets to crack. It will not hurt the operation of the mag. Brass Body Good mounting threads Mounts with 4 bolts 2" x 3-1/8" on center Hot Hot Hot Has a slight amount of wear but nothing that will be a problem If you pick this part up at my house 7.25% sales tax will be added to the purchase price. If it is shipped or delivered out of state then there will be no sales tax. If you have the proper exemptions then also there would be no sales tax. BOSCH DU4 BRASS BODY HOT MAGNETO Old Tractor Gas Engine MAG
Here is a very nice Bosch DU4 brass all body magneto. There is no wear that can be felt. All of the mounting holes look good and have perfect threads. It produces a very good spark. There is a very small crack in the distributor cap. I don't think it will hurt anything at all. See the picture where my finger is pointing. Take a look at all the pictures this is a very nice magneto. I am 100% sure this mag is ready to use and will work great. Serial number 1542226 No Wear Counter Clockwise Rotation Mounts with 4 holes 2" x 2" apart on center. Very Hot. If you pick this part up at my house 7.25% sales tax will be added to the purchase price. If it is shipped or delivered out of state then there will be no sales tax. Original OTTAWA Log Saw Hit Miss Gas Engine Mixer Brass Carb Steam Magneto NICE!
This is an original cast brass fuel mixer or carburetor for an Ottawa Log Saw gas engine. It's in good used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has 1 inch pipe threads on it and they are in good condition as are the 1/4 inch pipe threads for the fuel line. Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application. The choker and fuel needle move as they should. It may need a bit of cleaning but otherwise should be ready to go to work on an engine. It has a few light wrench marks on it but these could easily be blended if you so choose. These original parts are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets!
