MICHIGAN MAGNETO CO TYPE M MAG or GENERATOR Hit and Miss Old Gas Engine RARE
Here is a very nice Michigan Magneto Type M magneto. There is no bearing wear. Nothing is broken. Cracked or repaired. The armature turns smoothly and very strong magnetic pull can be felt when turning it. I am not exacatly sure what this mag is for. I am pretty sure it is a low tension mag ment to be used with an igniter. When the shaft is turned and a wire from the terminal is brushed against the body of the mag a nice blue spark is made. It also possible that it could be a lighting generator. Take a look at the pictures and see for yourself. Type M Brass Body No bearing wear 8-5/8" long. 4-1/2" wide, 8-3/4" tall The shaft is tapered. It is about 9/16" in diameter 3-1/8" x 2" mounting pattern Heavy 29 lbs(shipping calc is set slightly higher to account for packaging) Hot Spark No cracks. Breaks, or welds. Old IHC R Type M Mogul Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Steam Tractor Oiler NICE HOT!
This is a real nice original International Harvester Type R rotary magneto. It was standard equipment on the 6hp Type M engines as well as the 1. 1 3/4, and 2 1/2hp Mogul engines. It was also an option on the vertical IHC Famous and Titan engines as well as the 2 1/2 and 4hp horizontal Famous engines. It could probably be made to work on other engines as well. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has the original name band on it. It has minimal wear in the bearings and turns over with great magnetic pull as I just recharged the magnets. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center. The mounting threads in one hole are in perfect condition and the other one is not as good but still holds a bolt ... morejust fine. These original Type R magnetos are rather tough to find especially in this condition so if you need one for a project or just for a spare on the shelf look no further than this one. They just don't get much nicer. The pictures tell the story. You won't be disappointed in any way. Good Luck.

I HAVE FOR SALE A NICE ORIGINAL FAIRBANKS MORSE& CO. MODEL R MAGNETO. THESE WERE COMMONLY USED ON SOME OF THE FAIRBANKS Z'S. ZC'S AND ZD'S. THE MAG IS NICE AND HOT. IT HAS GOOD IMPULSE AND SNAPS OVER WITH A GOOD PULL. THIER IS NO GEAR ON THE SHAFT. YOU WILL HAVE TO SWAP OVER YOUR OLD GEAR. THE POT METAL HOUSING AND BASE IS IN GREAT SHAPE, WITH NO CRACKING OR SADDNES TO BE FOUND. THE BAKE A LITE LEAD OUT TOWER IS ALSO IN NEAR MINT CONDITION AND MUST HAVE NEVER BEEN OUTSIDE MUCH IN ITS LIFETIME. THIER IS A SCREW MISSING FROM THE INSPECTION COVER. Old IHC Type M 3hp Hit Miss Gas Engine Piston
This is an original piston for a 3hp International Harvester or McCormick Deering Model M gas engine. It has some light scoring but has no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind, It will need a set of rings and the lock bolt for the wrist pin and looks like it will be ready to put in your engine. I think this will fit both the igniter fired and spark plug fired engines, but check the dimensions on your old one first. Diameter is 4 1/8" X 6 3/16" long with a 1 1/4" wrins pin diameter. Old IHC Type M 3hp Hit Miss Gas Engine Connecting Rod Steam Tractor Magneto
This is an original connecting rod for a 3hp International Harvester or McCormick Deering Model M gas engine. Part number 9751.2.T.A. It has no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind, but does have some pieces broken out of the Babbitt(see pics) The wrist pin bushing has some heavy scoring in it. The rod cap fits tight, but the Babbitt looks to line up correct. I think this will fit both the ignitor fired and spark plug fired engines, but check the part number on your old one first. My eyes might be deceiving me. But it looks like it may be slightly bent(about 1/16 inch) hard to line up and measure with the way the Babbitt is broken. Since we sell mostly vintage parts. This is an original stamped steel crankcase rear cover for an International Harvester Type M 3hp gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is 5 3/8 inches in diamter and mounts with four holes on a 4 3/8 inch square bolt pattern. Please measure your engine to be sure it fits. Bosch Magneto Type C w/ Trip Arm Big & Heavy Gas Engine Steam Tractor
This large magneto has stamped on the brass base Bosch Type C. It has been in a fire and is stuck. I don't believe the fire was so hot as to damage much. As the springs have a lot of tension. The cover under the magnets is not completely burned off. The brass mounting bolt holes are 2" x 2" on center. The trip arm is almost 5" long. This magnet is stuck so will need a complete rebuild. Fantastic condition. If you are looking at this. You probably know way more about it than I do. I believe this was made specifically for Fairbanks hit and miss stationary engines. Looks to me like the flywheel would come around and hit the arm. However this arm is not well worn. If you need a close up of any part. Please let me know. Turns freely. Points are there. And open and shut with rotation. The only piece I see missing is one screw on the tower. I have no way to test it, so don't know if it works. All threads good. Return if not as described. OLD EISEMANN MAGNETO TYPE 64 EDIT. 2 HIT MISS GAS ENGINE TRACTOR CAR
Here is a big old Eisemann magneto. It is a type 64 edit.2. There is another number on it. A44756. It appears to be in good condition, seems like all the parts are there. It measures 7 inches tall, 9 1/2 inches long and is 5 inches wide. I know very little about magnetos, and have no idea how to test them to see if they are still working. I know they were(and are) used on old tractors, hit and miss engines, old motorcycles, and the like. That is the extent of my knowledge on these. I can identify them enough so if I see them at an estate sale I know to pick them up if possible. I will describe it the best I can, but really look at the pics to see details I may have missed. WIZARD TYPE 2 4 BOLT Rotary Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto & 30 Tooth Gear LAUSON?
This auction is for a large brass bodied Wizard rotary magneto with its original 30 tooth drive gear. And a 30 tooth idler gear that was attached to it when I bought it years ago. This is a 4 bolt mag which you hardly ever see. I am not sure of all of its application, but I believe some of you out there will know for sure. It is very greasy/dirty, but turns over nicely, and is complete. It does work, but the bushings are a bit worn, and may need to be rebushed. The mounting holes measure approx. 2" square center to center. Overall this mag measures approx. 6 1/2" tall, and 6 1/2" long from the end of the shaft to the back of the rear bearing plate. Old IHC Type L Model M Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Magneto Ignitor Steam HOT!!
This is an original International Harvester Type L low tension rotary magneto for an International Harvester Type M gas engine. It was factory equipment on the 1 1/2 and 3hp M engines and it was also a optional attachment on other engines like the 1hp Famous and Titan along with the Titan Jr. It is in excellent condition for it's age. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. The threads in one of the mounting holes is in great condition while the other could use a helicoil type repair. It has the original name band on it. It has the original push ball oilers in it. It turns over but it rubs a bit and could use new bushings. It has excellent magnetic pull as the magnets have just been recharged. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly but it does need ... morenew bushings for the armature. This magneto would even make a great spare on the shelf. It's a pretty decent magneto and with just a little elbow grease could be close to perfect. The pictures tell the story. You'll like it. Old IHC Type R Mogul M Magneto Hit Miss Antique Gas Engine Steam Oiler HOT!!
This is a very nice original International Harvester Type R low tension rotary magneto for an International Harvester Type M or Mogul gas engine. It was factory equipment on the 6hp M engines and the 1. 1 3/4, and 2 1/2hp Mogul engines. It was also a optional attachment on other engines like the 1hp Famous and Titan along with the Titan Jr, 2 1/2hp horizontal Famous and 2 and 3hp Vertical Famous engines. It is in good condition for it's age with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. The threads in the mounting holes are in perfect condition. It mounts on 2 inch bolt centers. It has the older style Accurate brass name band on it so it is likely an early magneto built by IHC after they bought out Accurate. This band has a very old stress crack in it as can be seen but this doesn't affect the operation of the magneto. The housing ... moreis in great shape. The magnets have just been recharged. The bearings have some wear so it might be a good idea to bush them but the magneto will likely run for quite some time just the way it is. The magneto turns over very nicely with excellent magnetic pull. It puts out an excellent, hot, fat spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. These magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they usually require several hundred dollars worth of repair work. Not this one. Ignitor For Type E John Deere 1.5, 3, 6 HP Hit Miss Farm Gas Engine
John Deere Hit& Miss Engine Ignitor. Part No. E108R. Fits 1 1/2. 3, and 6 HP John Deere Model E Gas Engines. This ignitor is complete and looks like it would work. There are no breaks, welds, or brazing on it. The shaft is not stuck in the body, the points will separate when tripped. But, since I don't have a John Deere Engine to try it out on I can't say positively. If I was going to use it I would take it apart, wash it in naptha, and oil and reassemble it. Some 25-30 years ago I used to be an old engine collector. I have rebuilt several of these ignitors in my lifetime. I am pretty well out of the old engine business now, but I did find a bucket of parts in my barn that I didn't know I had. This was in it. IHC Type L Magneto for Hit and Miss Gas for parts or repair Type M Engine
Here we have a Type L magneto for a Type M International gas engine. This mag has a crack in one of the magnets. There is also a piece out of one oil hole. The threads in the base have slight damage. But I think they are still sound and usable. The rest of the mag looks pretty good. It is stuck and will need some TLC, but otherwise it is a decent looking magneto and has some very good parts, or would be fixable if you have a magnet. I think it is repairable, but as with all my parts they are sold AS IS due to age. Please see the pictures as they tell the story best. Old 1 1/2hp IHC Type M Hit Miss Gas Engine Mixer Carburetor Steam Tractor Oiler
This is an original fuel mixer or carburetor for a 1 1/2hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It is for the gasoline engine with the spark plug ignition. It is in used condition and needs some rebuilding but everything it needs is available rather inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. It will need a new fuel siphon. Knob on the fuel needle and venturi. The body has no cracks, breaks, or repairs and has the original plug in the top of it. The air damper and compensating valve are both there. This mixer mounts to the top of the head on a 2 3/4 inch bolt pattern. With just a little elbow grease this could be a very nice mixer for you engine or a spare on the shelf. Old IHC TYPE M Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Ignitor Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler WOW
This is a rather hard to find original ignitor for a 1 1/2. 3, and 6hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It is in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind on the body or moving parts. It is part number 8959T casted into the body and mounts with two 1/2 inch holes 2 1/2 inches apart on center. Everything moves and functions as it should but it needs a spring and possibly a new mica tube on the stationary electrode. These are available quite inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. The points are in good shape. There is minor wear on the movable shaft. With a little elbow grease this should be a perfect ignitor! These original ignitors hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one don't miss your chance on this one. Old ECONOMY Cast Iron Ball Type Hit Miss Gas Engine Muffler Steam Tractor Oiler
This is an original cast iron ball type muffler for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. These were commonly used on Economy engines and several others. They look and work good on any engine they fit on! This one measures about 7 3/4 inches in diameter and about 4 3/4 inches"deep" It has 1 1/2 inch pipe threads and they are in perfect shape. It has the original assembly hardware in it and just enough pitting and patina to give it authenticity! It would look great on a nice original engine. Webster 2 Bar Mag Type K26 Steam Gas Engine Car Auto
This Webster tri-polar oscillator has 2 magnets and is marked on the band Type K26. There is a small 3/8" crack on the top of the brass band. The armature turns. It has not been checked for spark. The mounting bolt holes are 2" x 2" on center. Two mounting bolt holes have thread. The other 2 holes need re-tapping threads. 1 pile cap is damaged but still can be used. Nice Original Fairbanks Morse Type H Gas Engine Magneto Drive Gear 24KE5 50 Tth
This auction is for a nice original Fairbanks Morse gas engine magneto drive gear. I believe this fits type H engines. What size. I do not know however. It has a part number of 24KE and what looks to be a 5 or an S on it. It measures approx. 5 1/2" in diameter, and has 50 teeth with a 3/8" hole to mount on the Sumter low tension magneto for igniter fired engines. Here is a very rare Webster Type 4 HJ rotary high tension magneto. It turns over fine and a strong magnetic pull can be felt while turning. There is no noticeable bearing wear. While I was playing with it I had is making spark then in stopped making spark for some reason. There is sparking at the points now. Maybe that means in need a condenser? Stationary hit miss gas engine ball type muffler Associated stover?
I have for auction this original ball shaped muffler. It fits a stationary hit miss gas engine of around 1.5 or 2hp. I am not sure what it fits but looks similar to Stover or associated engines. It has a piece missing on the edge of the muffler. It is about 6" across. The pipe on it looks like 1/2" size. It is rusty but just needs a cleaning and some paint and your engine.
