Here is a nice excellent condition brass stationary engine oiler or bearing oiler. It has a cool look. So it could be part of a Steam Punk invention as well. This oiler was made in Detroit, Michigan by the Michigan Lubricators Co. The glass cylinder is in good condition except for a chip off the top edge. Here is a nice large size antique engine drip oiler. It was made by Essex Brass Corp. Detroit Michigan. The brass has a nice patina and the glass is good in the cylinder. Vintage Small Brass DRIP OILER - Machinery, Stationary Engine, Hit Miss
SMALL DRIP OILER- PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE PHOTOS- Vintage brass oiler in fair to good used condition. Overall height is approximately 4 1/8 inches. An unusual drip tube extends 3 1/4 inches from the side of the bottom fitting. No maker's markings. The spring-loaded fill-hole cover is marked: PATD 3.30.15. Used condition. Fairly clean. Chrome plating is worn and the brass is showing through in places(see photos below) Plating on the top and bottom reservoir caps is scuffed and scratched all-over. The small bottom sight glass tube rattles around. Probably because there is no cork gasket. No evidence that there ever was a gasket in the small lower chamber. Large gaskets are present in the reservior, though old and oil-soaked. Everything turns freely. Should be ready to use. Unusual! This is a lot of original oilers for a cream separator. Hit and miss gas engine or other piece of machinery. There are names like DeLaval, National, Vermont, and some unmarked ones. Most of them were nickel plated at some point an will need a good cleaning. The largest measures about 1 7/8 inches in diameter and 5 inches tall overall. Some have machine threads and some have pipe threads and most are in good shape. Some are for parts and some would make good oilers. They will likely need new gaskets and glass but these are available quite inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. That's the fun part, anyway. This is a pretty nice original Michigan oiler for a hit and miss gas engine. It has a vent tube which means it was meant for the cylinder of an engine. It measures about 1 7/8 inches in diameter and 4 7/8 inches tall overall. It has 1/4 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape. It has the original fill plug which are usually gone. It has very minor wrench marks on the hex and it may need new gaskets and a bottom glass but these are available quite inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. That's the fun part. Anyway. This is a pretty nice original group of right angle oilers for a cream separator or other piece of machinery. They are marked Lonergan(at least 2 of them)and were likely for a cream separator. The third is an unmarked Lonergan. They measure about 1 7/8 inches in diameter and 4 1/2 inches tall overall(the 2 larger ones) Two have machine threads and one has 1/4 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape. They have some wrench marks on the hex and some nickel plating loss but are still pretty nice. Old ESSEX #7 Oilers Hit Miss Gas Engine Machinery Oiler Steam Tractor NICE! BIG
This is a matching pair of Essex#7 oilers for hit and miss engines or other machinery. They are both in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks or repairs of any kind. The finial nuts are different but could easily be made the same. These are marked Essex on the tops. They are large oilers and measure about 11 1/2 inches tall overall! They take#7(4 1/4 x 5) which are available from the hobby suppliers. Both of the bottom glasses are good. They have 1/8 inch female threads in the bottoms which could be bushed up to whatever size you need. The one has the original filler plug and one is missing. Both of the adjustment needles work as they should. These big oilers don't turn up very often and they are a great addition to your brass collection! The pictures tell the story. You'll like them. Old VICTOR Rod Oilers Hit Miss Gas Engine Machinery Oiler Steam Tractor NICE!
This is a pretty nice group of 3 rod type oilers for connecting rods of hit and miss or steam engines or other similar applications. These do not have oil holes at the bottom of main stems but instead need oil thrown out the holes half way up or on top of the stems. They are in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. The smaller ones are marked VICTOR Lubricator, and the larger one is unmarked. The smaller ones measure about 1 5/8 x 3 3/8 tall with 1/8 inch pipe threads. The larger one measures about 2 1/8 x 3 1/4 tall with 3/8 inch pipe threads. All of the glasses are good. They may need new gaskets but otherwise are ready to go to work. The pictures tell the story. It has most of its nickel plating on it yet. It has 1/4 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape.
