Presented for auction is this Antique Brass Essex Swingtop Hit and Miss Drip Oiler in very Good Working condition! Ok. Ok, It needs a good cleaning, but everything works! The spring plunger works. The swingtop works and there are NO cracks in the glass. The wrench flats are sharp and the 1/8 NPT threads are also good. I put water in it and when the spring plunger is raised. You can see the water dip down in the lower glass. It does NOT leak! There are some nicks here and there and it is DIRTY! Please review the pictures closely. Old Essex Brass drip oiler. Missing something from the top- possibly a plunger and handle. It is nice and dirty! Everything seems to be free to turn. Easily disassembles, and will clean up nicely. The bottom fitting looks like 3/4" pipe thread. It measures overall about 7 1/2" and about 4" wide(at the knob) the glass is about 3" diameter and 2 3/4" tall. It weighs about 2 1/2 pounds.

This is a old Essex oiler. All the valves turn. Glass looks good. The 4 glasses on the lower part of the oiler are missing. There is one screw on the bracket that holds the drip glasses missing. The top flip handle is also missing. There is some gray paint on it. There is no welds. 8" tall 4" wide. Glass is 4" tall and 3 1/2" wide. Thank you for looking.

This scarce early original unmarked Dual or Twin-Drip Oiler/Lubricator was nicely-made of nickel plated solid brass with a site/sight glass and measures about 1-1/2 inches wide by 3-3/4 inches tall. It came from estate of hit& miss/steam engine/Ford Model A T era parts collector. Very Good used with minor wear/marks/etc. Still has most of the original nickel plating. The glass cylinder is also nice. It just needs cleaned. May be missing the 2 small lower glass cylinders. Please see photos for condition details.
