Antique Brass Grease Cup for Hit and Miss, Steam or Early Gasoline Engine
Antique brass grease cup for Hit or Miss. Steam or early gasoline automobile engine. Overall height 2 1/2" Overall diameter 1 5/8" Bottom thread is 1/4" NPT. Flats measure 1 3/8" across. Internal cap threads down as top is turned to force grease out. There are no manufacturer markings on the fitting. It shows some wear and some nicks, but overall is in very nice condition.

Antique Brass Grease Cup /Oiler for Hit and Miss, Steam or Early Gasoline Engine
Antique brass grease cup or oil fitting for Hit or Miss. Steam or early gasoline automobile engine. Overall height 1 5/8" Knurled top opens for lubrication port and then spring action automatically shuts top. These measure 1" across the flats. The thread is 18 TPI. The thread is tapered and measures 0.650" at the bottom. One of the fittings has the numeral"7" stamped on the side. Otherwise there are no markings. Two of the fittings have a couple of bumps on the flats, but overall, they are in very nice shape. There are three fittings in the lot.

Old Sparta Economy Hercules Hit Miss Gas Engine Brass Rod Grease Cup Steam Oiler
This is a very hard to find original brass automatic greaser for the connecting rod bearing on a hit and miss gas engine. I'm pretty sure it was factory equipment on the Sparta Economy and early Evansville built Economy and Hercules engines. I've had a couple untouched original engines that both had these greasers on the connecting rod. This one measures about 1 3/16 inches in diameter at its widest and about 2 3/8 inches tall. It has 1/8 inch pipe threads that are in excellent conditon. It has a 00 stamped on a flat of the hex. It is in great condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has some blemishes on the knurling but this could be remedied if you so choose. Vintage hit and miss engine oiler grease cup can brass steam oil tractor tools
Mixed lot of grease cups. Various sizes, styles, and manufacturers. Fresh from the barn, these all have grease and oil residue, and most still have some grease inside. I did wipe them all down and will wrap and ship properly so they don't make a mess. A few I see markings on, but most appear to be unmarked, a few are brass. Slight ding on the leading thread may need to be touched up with a file before installing. I couldn't get a picture of the ding, thats how small it is. 7/8" diameter body, 2-1/8" long overall, 1/8" NPT male thread. The new import steel versions are about $ 20. This is a lot of 8 Greasers. Grease Cups for Old Hit Miss Gas Or Steam Engines Or Equipment.They are Old& Original, I know nothing about them other than one is marked on top_ 0 PAT DEC 26, 1905_ at least 4 are brass.
