Vintage G.B. Essex Brass Co. Oiler LOT DETAILS A vintage engine oiler made by the G.B. Essex Brass Co. Detroit. Mich. It measures approx. 4.3/8" long. The cylinder has a diameter of 2.1/8" T he glass is smaller then the brass fitting. There's a gap between them which can be seen in the last two pictures. The glass is di rty on the inside. T he brass is scratched up and worn and it's a little bent out of shape. Take a look at the pictures to get a good idea of what the oiler looks like and the condition. Swift Lubricator Co. This oiler was pataneted on mar.21.1882 by the Swift Lubricator Co. in elmira N.Y. Condition description All the brass is good with no cracks and the wood is not cracked either. Everything turns on it and the inside still has oil in it. I would say you could put it on your engine as soon as you get it. When cleaned up with the buffer. If you decide to do so, I would say it would be a 10 out of 10 oiler.

Reservoir is about 2" in diameter and 4" tall. For auction I have a Brass AMERICAN INJECTOR Co. HIT MISS STEAM ENGINE OILER#3 w/ Glass Sight 5/8" pipe fitting. The glass itself measures 3/16" thick and does have a crack in it. It must have been used with this crack as there is oil between the glass in the crack itself. There is no gaskets for giving it a tight seal. It measures 6 1/4" tall x 2 1/2" across. Here is a nice excellent condition brass stationary engine oiler or bearing oiler. It has a cool look. So it could be part of a Steam Punk invention as well. This oiler was made in Detroit, Michigan by the Michigan Lubricators Co. The glass cylinder is in good condition except for a chip off the top edge. Just mount the oiler with the chipped edge at the top. The brass parts seem to be in working order. The gaskets look old and should be replaced. Please ask questions before bidding. Vintage Brass Michigan Lubricator Co 1 Quart Hit Miss Engine Oiler Gas Steam NR
Farm Fresh Estate Oiler! Here I go again with another offering from my multi-generational farm estate that is for one of the largest oilers for a hit miss engine that is a FULL QUART drip oiler for a hit and miss engine made by the Michigan Lubricator co of Detroit Mich. It measures 13" high by 6 1/2" wide and is 4" deep or diameter. It is all brass and signed by the maker and also Ohio Brass who supplied the brass for the making of piece. As you can see from the pictures the glass tubes are out on both sides but I understand these are not hard to replace amonst the people who know hit and miss engines. Its a gran-daddy and I have never seen one this big which leads me to believe it was to a larger commercial or heavy engine. Wadsworth, Ohio, Overall length is approx. 5 1/4" top cap to bottom cap is 2 3/8" and caps are 2 3/8" dia. the glass is in great condition with no cracks, chips or breaks and is 1/8" thick, 2 1/8" in dia. and length. It has a flip up valve lever and a swing out oil fill cap, it will need new gaskets and is being sold as is.
